I will not be updating every Daily/Weekly/etc. sale. The tools to help individuals become a smarter shopper will be provided below.

So.. I was playing Outlast yesterday and liking the atmosphere and everything... but I found myself frustrated at the main character's inability to defend himself in even the slightest way.  I dunno if I'll even go back to it as I started to get really frustrated.
I was trying to re-start a generator and hated having to constantly run and hide from psychos.

 Also - the batteries on that stupid nightvision camera go down waaaaaaaaaay too fast for me.

Holy crap, thank you so much. Was not expecting that many donations. This means I'll probably have to rearrange the prize-tiers, or just make it a "the higher place you had, the order you are in line for taking something from the donation list".

Anyways, Pickle, don't worry about post count you're in. And thanks to everyone who's provided an image link of their avatar so far, saves me some of the headache of putting this thing together.

So far we officially have 38 entrants, so 10 to go. If we're lacking towards the end, I will add all the people who said they won't be able to make it tonight (4 people) into the contest regardless and they can decide whether or not they'd like anything.

Also, I have a start time.

The event will start promptly at 8 p.m. EST . Link to the thread will be posted at 7:40, and I'll get a group chat going around the same time.

I may have had some computer repair stuff come up but in typical fashion, they don't know when they'll be home tonight and all they know is it won't connect to their router. So I don't know when I will be gone or how long it will take. If I am physically within a half hours range of a cag who is on does that count?
 
I know we're in pc land but WHATEVAR if you have a PlayStation there's a pretty crazy sale going on right now...tons of games all on sale all under a dollar, including katamari damacacy and a few mega man games

Don't sweat it. Like I said, attendance isn't mandatory, just highly encouraged. Half-hour should still place you around when the fun's going on.

Anyways, we're missing 8 (not including the 4 or 5 possibly maybes), still about an hour or so left to enter.

Edit: 4 slots left, about a half hour left now.

Only a few good titles in that sale. Dino Crisis 1 and 2 and Wild ARMs 1 and 2 are both 96 cents, but in MysterD fashion I ALREADY OWN THEM ON DISC!

EDIT: Actually I only checked the sale on my PSP. The store has some amazing sales. Telltale's Jurassic Park series is only 80 cents! Sam & Max and Tales of Monkey Island are also 80 cents each.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm picking up the MM games, Katamari, and Pac Man even though I already have it on Steam, just cause it's that awesome.

Also since the thread is dead at the moment and we're talking peasant business anyway, I finally got around to trying Catherine the other day and found it one of the most overrated and embarrassingly prepubescent pieces of poo I've ever played. I actually liked the puzzle gameplay and am tempted to go back to it for that, but can't stomach any more of the story and characters. It's worse than middle school.

So you basically liked the gameplay in Catherine, which is most of the game, yet call it poo. y u do dis. ur like one of those reviewers that praise a game and give it a 3/10!

The story was immature and the puzzles were rip-offs of PIQ with Satan thrown in. It's only so highly rated because a lot of virgin nerds loved the concept of having two hot women to have sex with. Doesn't that explain why the collector's edition came with a body pillow?

 
Resident Evil Revelations 2 scared me in some very unexpectated ways.

#1: Keyboard controls not responding at all at the final boss. I had to learn how to use gamepad controls at the last part of the game, and had no idea wtf what I was doing.

#2: Freezing at the results screen after spending 2 hours to complete a chapter. This particular chapter has a weird save system so I thought I'd have to replay the entire thing.. thankfully it let me continue from a checkpoint, but I almost wanted to kill someone for a minute or two.

Thank you Capcom for introducing very unique ways of scaring me half to death in a horror game!

Exactly. I'm always interested in games that do something new, and had wrongly assumed from reviews that Catherine was a genuinely intriguing story-based game for adults. I've got plenty of great puzzle games in my backlog going unplayed, so a mildly interesting puzzle system isn't going to be enough to make me put up with characters that make me want to smack them and everyone involved with the making of the game whenever they open their mouths.
