This thread will attempt to provide a place to discuss past/present/future PC gaming deals. While mainly focusing on Steam games, any standout sales may also be presented. I will not be updating every Daily/Weekly/etc. sale. The tools to help individuals become a smarter shopper will be provided below.

i notice that I only need to run Steam (stay at the log in windows) and idlemaster will give me a "green checkmark" for Steam running.

So do I need to log in for card to drop or not?

I ask b/c I don't want my Steam status to be online (yes, your Steam status will be online regardless u log in to chat or not)

To update that a bit I was wrong about the 8 hour windows for the Summer Sale cards.  I got two back-to-back.  It's just 3 in a 24 hour period so I guess they don't try to space it out or anything.  Still, idle master will get stuck on the game app.

You need to be logged in via the website for idle master to work. Stop hiding from people.

 
Amazon still seems to do some robo price matches sometimes so there may be some of that. It's kind of wonky and imperfect and misses a ton if stuff but if we get lucky it might even do something like price match a game to a dlc price.
 
I couldn't wait any longer for Homeworld.  Such fond memories of the originals ... with the remaster, I thought the price was right at $13.99 for 1 & 2.  

 
I'm currently running Idle Master while three videos play in separate Tremor windows, installing/running/deleting apps on my phone while an autoclicker plays the Steam monster game.

It's the most effort I've ever put into doing absolutely nothing at all.

 
And my alts have gotten the cards I was owed. Yippee.

That's... a lot of cards. Previously we got one per day per account, but three per day? I think the market will get flooded.

If you are having problems with idlemaster this worked for me swiped from steam forums:

yes you can... just get rid of the error message and then blacklist this appid:

Sooooo..

Is there anything I have to do to get a badge?  Or is it just the cards you get randomly from clicking the play game and not being able to play?

Just got back from work and of course.... as expected.. 10 pages in 6 hours.

 
There's the monster badge and the summer sale badge. The monster badge you get from playing the game and also get card drops for the summer sale badge, which is just like any of the previous sale badges.

During the last Winter sale it was one vote per day to get one card. (Source)

Last Summer Sale, it was three votes to get one card every 24 hours. (Source)

Even with those limitations, the market got flooded with cards and prices crashed. Of course maybe Steam wants this to happen since every card sale is free profit.

I'm going to guess the second game of the Monster tier would be Fractured Space.  (if it gets there)  20k tier seems very unlikely, but I'd guess Battle Fleet 2.  Though it could be Command: Modern/Air Naval Operations or Wargame: Red Dragon.

Ok, ok. Gotta come clean.  I'm not guessing anything.  I just tried adding all those tags together in the searches. :)

I still dream that damned opening sequence.. subtitles and all....

And then I dreams that do nothing but flashes of random color and Canon in D playing.... (referring to the last episode) Oh and when people do talk to me.. it's something stupid like Congratulations!

You might be able to get cards from the game by just having the auto-cannon or w.e. upgrade. Not really sure, know earlier today I got a card drop while I wasn't running the game soo...maybe?

Well, not everyone has half a dozen shell accounts so it isn't a big issue~

 
Decided to count, because why not, looks like there is 12 daily deals, 15 flash sales (so 30 a day) and up to 9 community/monster/w.e. they'll call them deals. 

Assuming one encore day, there will be between 378-459 deals during the sale (obviously not counting repeats). With two encore days it's 336-408 deals. 

I may have had too much caffeine. Also Math>clicker game(s)

 
I just love how Shadow of Mordor GOTY is 30 percent off (34.99) when the same content is available over at Bundle Stars for 20 bucks.  I guess the tacked on "GOTY" lettering in the name is worth 15 bucks to them.

the success has gone to their head. i hope steam gets buy out, by amazon, atleast amazon price matches, and have great customer service.

This is exactly what I did. I just go into the game every so often to upgrade my character. I have:

Light Armor - 6

Auto-fire Cannon - 20

Advanced Targeting - 5

And all Elemental Damages up to 3 (at this point they want 1.4 million GP to upgrade these further so it's not worth it.)

Unfortunately I got some stupid teammates. They've wasted supermoves on standard enemies, instead of the bosses...

 
I guess this is the main reason I sort of prefer separate threads for the various distributors. I can't keep up with the Steam thread during seasonal sales.

I've played Clicker Heroes for a few hours and realized that it's a game for number nerds and accountants. "OMG I can do 2 septillion DPS on a stupid-looking static bee monster! I don't even have to do anything, I can just leave it running in the background and check every so often to increase my DPS."

Needless to say, I thought there'd be more clicking involved. But your shitty little starter character does 150 click damage at level 100 and a fairy ice apprentice thing does 1,126,000 DPS at level 1.

Dafuq u guyz play dis 4

Lucky Shot doesn't seem to do anything. I've never gotten a single critical hit. Since I'm not doing any manual clicking, Armor Piercing and Explosive Rounds are kinda pointless too.

Add stuff to Elemental Damage and the auto stuff.
