I wish I had a refund policy when I got the game.

Once Metal Slug 1 and X hit a Humble I am setting the money for DotEmu to 0. fuck those guys.
the irony will be that they will go bankrupt because of your spitefulness and in the next humble bundle the charity will be donating to the DotEmu resurrection fund, so by not giving them anything you will give them hundreds of thousands.

Imagine how many people would rape Mooby in a post-apocalyptic world? It's scary and sick and exciting.

I hope they call themselves DotOstrich when they restructure.

76% off Legend of Korra... Hmm.

It's an Activion game, but they're one of a few publishers that went with an unfair USD->NZD price conversion, so it's only ~5% less rather than the ~15% less it should be. Tough decision.

As long as they keep getting hired to do shit ports to android and port their shit android ports to windows using as little effort as possible, they'll still exist.

Meanwhile decent devs keep going bankrupt.

Curse this unfair world.

I kind of want to buy Dreamfall: The Longest Journey and Dreamfall Chapters but only 50% off on the former is lame. Looks like Steam sold The Longest Journey for $4.99 back in January 2013 and the cheapest it's been since then is $9.99. I know GOG is selling it for $3.75 but that's not Steam.

I hate this sale for making me internally debate possible purchases.  :whee:

I was just looking at this closer, but it doesn't seem to include Issue #8, just #9+. The Massive Edition included up to #7. I'm wondering if it would still end up being cheaper to get the Ultimate Edition (with a reasonable discount) vs getting Tokyo on Steam and #8 in-game (assuming that's is possible).
If you haven't already done so, after completing 30 missions, you'll have enough in-game currency to buy Issue #8 that's not included in the Tokyo pack.

The Original TLJ (Steam key) was in Be Mine 13 in the $4 Tier:

A TLJ + Dreamfall (TLJ2) bundle for Steam has been a little over $6 before:

Dreamfall Chapters hasn't been cheap yet - $15 (current price) is its best:

Great. Maybe I'll actually play the first one before the second one comes out.
Oh who am I kidding? I won't.
Just now saw this post somehow but you should play it. Really good game, and one of the better modern stealth games out there. Really felt like a mix of bioshock and thief (i guess? can't think of too many other first person stealths off the top of my head), mechanically speaking.

I'm glad I got Dreamfall the Longest Journey and the original back when they were 75 percent off in the pack during the 2011 Summer sale. I bit on Dreamfall Chapters as the game looked quite interesting to me, especially compared to the modern Telltale games.

Ah. Thanks for the info. Also, pardon my error for not mentioning I meant Dreamfall: The Longest Journey not just TLJ. Be Mine 13 is where I actually did pickup TLJ. I just need the other two. I'd be more inclined to jump on the Dreamfall Chapters price if Dreamfall TLJ was around $4.99. Seems like Funcom is stubborn with the pricing.

So far I've picked up the Braid soundtrack, Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath, and Korra.  Pretty mild deals overall and their little add on game, after finally getting in, is confusing, flashy, and not satisfying.  Back to Clicker Hero, I 'suppose.

Nice. That's a price I'd pay today. I wasn't as forward thinking back then.

I was really hoping for it to be in the 75% off range, but I knew it'd be a long shot with the recent release of Dreamfall Chapters. I've been looking for something different to play and this piqued my interest with the story, choices with consequence, and adventure & sci-fi fantasy elements. It appears three of the five episodes have been released so maybe I could wait until the Fall/Winter.

I really want Wolfenstein, but it's pretty crappy how Bethesda bumped the MSRP back up to $60 just for the sale.

Now, I'm thinking I should wait until Wolf: The New Order & Old Blood Bundle are closer to $15.  Only 10 hours left to decide....

That is how I feel as well. Figure I'll wait until the end of the sale and if I still have $15 burning a hole in my steam wallet (and there is an encore day) I'll pick it up then.

Buy on GOG. The steam version of Dreamfall: TLJ is broken in a way that makes the game impossible to complete.

For how dated it is, Dreamfall: The Longest Journey still looks great pretty good with everything cranked up to ultra settings.

So I picked up The Secret World when it was cheap on GMG or wherever it was before it dropped the subscription model and registered the game but I have never actually got around to playing it.  I think aside from some bonus starter gear and some pet, all that gave me up to Issue #5 for free?  Something like that.

I actually want to play through it sometime this summer and I am wondering if I would just be better off getting the Ultimate Edition on Steam.  Not sure if you can add it to your Funcom account or if I would have to make a new account and lose  whatever bonus stuff I had from before but I am more interested in getting the rest of the content as cheaply as possible than anything else.  For those who have played it, is the Ultimate Edition my best value?  I am not sure what content I would need to buy in the first place to have all of the story stuff.  I was looking at the forums but that didn't gain me much.

So you remember when The Secret World was 5 dollars on GMG

was debating whether to get Agarest 2 when i was looking through the screenshots and came across this...

and i was like, "Don't mind if I do!"

It's still cheaper than it has been in the past, so who cares? The only thing that really matters is if you feel comfortable paying that price for that product and if you think it will be cheaper before you actually make time to play it.

Waiting never hurt anybody though. Well, sometimes it does, but probably not this time. Personally if I am on the fence about something I skip it. I didn't want it badly enough so I clearly didn't need it. If it returns as an encore deal at the end of the sale, well then that's providence giving me a second chance.

I know there were people like CheapyFox waiting for Cities: SKylines being on sale at ~ 50% off.

But, in case you really desire to buy that game, and you have tons of Bingbux of amazon, you can get the game on Amazon USA.

Price Match:

This kind of purchasing looks like early days of joining PC gaming, Steam, and becoming a CAG (especialy since you have no avatar)!

As a CAG, the rule here often goes like this: 75% off or bust, if you're going to backlog it -i.e. you're not going to play now, but play at a later unknown date.

I also have other rules myself - PWYW (Pay What You Want), if you're going to buy it now so you can play it now.

Me, I normally buy long-winded RPG's ASAP, if I actually do decide to ASAP one - b/c I like long-winded, time-consuming time-sinks to get my money's worth here.

In Massive Steam Sales like this, ONLY buy when it's a Flash or Daily if you're going to buy - b/c otherwise, it ain't at Rock Bottom pricing in this sale. You could risk the chance of buying it not at its cheapest, if it ain't on a Flash or Daily Sale.

Road Redemption is tempting at 60% off. Anybody got any first hand experience with it? Steam reviews are either "it sucks! Buggy mess lol" or "10/10 roadrashroadroadrash" even though the probably weren't even born when it came out.

Where the hell was Amazon w/ the price-matching when Valkyria Chronicle was 75% off at $5 on Steam?

Bleh. Meh.

For the record they actually didn't bump the msrp of wolfenstein up. It had always been 60; the bundle of wolfenstein old blood/new order was 45 and that's what people are seeing in steamdb. It's odd but bethesda didn't inflate the price of the base game like people are saying.

Also honestly I'm not sure why people care so much even if the game had been inflated for marketing purposes, just buy a game when it's at your price level.
