If only you knew. The universe is funny though. Little did I know a game named "Destiny" would literally become my.... well destiny. 1400 hours in and still going strong. Game is pure perfection. I joke with my wife that the only reason I don't play it more is because I met her before the game released. Sometimes it is better to wait until you find what really makes you happy so you'll be able to dedicate the most time possible to it.
 
Am I the only one who didn't like destiny? I played for a couple hours. I just don't see the craze for it. I'm definitely not paying for all that dlc.
 
Controller barely responds now and the narrator thing is always there talking when I start. Okay, NOW I get the complaints about the dashboard beta!

Now is probably a good time to pick it back up. The game has been reinvented and there is a LOT of content available now, there is almost always something to do to keep you interested in the game.

Now that being said, I'm not a fan of Bungie/Activision introducing a micro-transaction aspect to the game just to be able to buy more emotes. I was neutral about that until I read an email earlier this evening from Bungie with the phrase, "We've all enjoyed a dance party (or seven) in the Tower." That made me lose a little love in the game, but for now I can ignore the store after I spend the silver they give me (if I care that much). I just hope this isn't the first little slide down a slippery slope.

 
Just got an email from XBL rewards. Anyone who buys Witcher 3 (digitally) and/or the season pass is eligible for currency back. Kind of tempted to get the game + season pass but I doubt I will play it anytime soon with Halo 5 so close. However, you would get 26,000 credits back (which is $26) so those who get cheap MS currency could make out well with this. Although I may hold off just because I know I won't play it right away and I'm sure it will be on sale around Christmas (I know it was a few weeks ago anyway).

You can turn off the Narrator: either through settings > Ease of Access > Narrator, or by holding the home button to bring up the power off menu, and press the start / menu / hamburger button.

Also, you might try selecting "Restart Console" from the settings list in the guide on the left, to see if that resolves your controller issues.

So damn tempting, but like you said, with the flood of games coming over the next couple months I will just have no time to play it. They're essentially giving you the Expansion pass for free but you're still paying MSRP for the base game....ehhhh.

Unfortunately, that wasn't going to happen. Before winning the World Series in '05, the White Sox last won it in 1917, one year prior to the Red Sox's last title before '04. But Chicago fans were apparently more OK with the Bears title in '85 and all of Jordan's Bulls titles than Boston fans were with all the Celtic and Patriot titles, since they weren't as whiny about the lack of a World Series championship. Chicago probably doesn't have as much of an inferiority complex about New York, either.

I got a Titan to 23 and then got bored. My friends that play it are more committed then I can be and it feels like an all or nothing kind of game. I would just be playing catch up all the time. Smite is more of my speed because you start at level 1 each match.

Also, Crimsonland is available for download now.

I had the same experience first time I got it when it released. Didn't touch it again till right before Taken King and now I'm hooked. The PvP is fun and rewarding, the boss battles are amazing and intense and the endless pursuit for better gear is a lot of fun.

I played the demo, and said "Yup, that's enough for me. I played it, and can already see there's really nothing else beyond this". And I have never had an urge to give it another whirl since.

 
In regards to all the hate/complaints of the preview program, new dashboard update, etc.: the whole point of the preview program is to test out the system and submit bugs. I've had issues myself but I work through them, submit them, and hope to be making a complete and almost bug free dashboard once it releases to all users. If you only want to be in the preview to be on the new edge, that's fine but don't complain about functionality or issues because that's the whole point and your feedback is crucial to this program and process.
 
I had a strange glitch/bug with the nxe dash board. Games froze and stated I had contact error. Couldnt exit out of the game couldnt go to the home screen had to do a hard reset. Then when it came back on it wouldnt see my external hard drive. Scarred the crap out of me. i thought my hard drive crashed. I unpugged it and did another hard reset and pluged it back in and it worked fine. I submitted the error and havent had it since. Thats the only problem that I have had.

I will admit that I had no interest in the preview before BC got added early. I decided buggy play was worth the early access.

With the NXOE, I held off at first because of known issues conflicting w/ my use, however this previous update looked to correct a lot of it. I submit feedback, including the feedback that submitting feedback sucks (at least I have to hit the home button to clear the keyboard and click the submit button, works great when home button just hangs system). I knew when I opted in that it was still a work in progress, but there at times when booting up my xbox just causes me frustration. I haven't opted out yet, and it sounds like yesterday's update had a lot of fixes.

You dont need to. That was exactly my issue. So here is what you do:

1) Disconnect your external HDD, if you have one.

2) Press and hold the power button on the console.

3) Give it 10 seconds and start the console back on.

4) If you go to settings and to Network, you should be able to see that you are connected.

5) Depending on what your NAT type is, at that point in time, you may require additional steps (that I can guide you with).

6) Also, if it still says not connected, another thing that may work is going offline and then online. The setting is right there, on the same Network settings page.

Please remember, there is nothing wrong with your console. Also remember, once it all works and you shut down your console, next time you boot it up you will have to repeat the above steps. Every single time...which is why I got out of NXOE. :)

Anyone purchase Wasteland 2 for the XB1?

I am finding the camera angles to be a PITA.  The control scheme I have managed to get used to but it took a lot of time to figure out (there is no tutorial).  The Map has much to be disired in that it is hard to figure out where you are going when not in a town.  I find that Save and Quick Save to be your friend because it easy to quickly loose especially because Ammo is very sparse and so is water.  And I am not alone, over and NeoGAF others on XB1 and PS4 are having a hard time and many are playing in rookie mode.  I am one notch above.

Some of saying they have already given up.   I am not there yet, but it is not what I call a casual game.

Not an easy game to play.  Heavy good dialog with lots of choices.  Requires a lot of pre-planning when attacking and often (at least for me) a lot of reloading a save.  It is unclear how when you level-up what you should choose.

If you are considering this game, I would try to find the Wasteland 2 Field Manual on the Wasteland Wika and read through that to start.

Looking at the PC play thoughts on twitch, I believe the graphics ported over well but controller scheme leaves something to be desired.  Cannot wait until the XB1 has Keyboard and Mouse and hopefully have that option for some games.

 
^ I am playing Wasteland 2. I put the game on rookie because the game recommended it for your first playthrough. I agree the camera is a bit clunky. Overall, I am enjoying it so far, I was a big fan of XCOM - so this combat feels very familiar. Yes, it is very tactical and slow, so I could see his game not being for everyone. This is filling the month sized hole in my heart just fine until Fallout arrives.
 
I actually rented Wasteland 2 to see how it is; it's going to arrive soon, I hope. I like the isometric view in games, but not sure about tactical game play. I am as much tactical as a cabbage is, good thing I am renting it, huh.
