Target BTTF SB is now showing as "Shipping Not Available" though Store Pickup is now showing as an option:

Just placed an in-store pickup order for my local Target, we'll see how that pans out this morning.   DCPI # is 058-40-0446 .

Checked all of my stores in 100 miles of me, 1 store in my area has 4, another has 5, rest of them have stock levels of 13 - 36 copies, with my home store having 25 of them.  Since the price isn't different than the $29.99 price, I'd suggest doing an in-store pickup order once you've checked inventory levels at your local store(s).   I hope to have a pickup notice within a couple hours of store open.

Do an online order for in-store pickup. That way, you should be covered either way on getting one. Should also save you time on picking up a copy.

EDIT: Received an email and text a half-hour ago that my copy is waiting for me at Target.

Didn't even realize that was an option since I don't believe they let you do that for most Target exclusive steelbooks. Alas, no worries since my store had a bunch at 9:30 this morning. While I was there I also noticed a new Deep Impact Metalpak which was kind of cool looking. Didn't even know that was coming out! The price was $12.99 I believe (I passed on it as of now) and the store had at least 3 on the shelf.

Couldn't resist.

The review I linked detailed the differences in special features at the end. The SB version doesn't include the animated series, art booklet, or fancy box, but the discs are the same.

 
Ordered the BTTF Target Steelbook Trilogy a few months ago. My online order shows as backorder and has not been processed yet. I went into my local store and they had a lot of the steelbooks (15+). Im surprised that Target does not fulfill their online preorders before stocking stores. Needless to say, I cancelled by online order and picked it up in store today.

The DCs weren't expired, as I just redeemed them in iTunes last night. They're only SD DCs I believe, due to the file size that was saved locally.

It may have to be a local pickup, since out of the last five SB orders that Target had, I had to resort to in-store pickup for three of them. The ones in question were:

San Andres (they shipped this one)

Edward Scissorhands (never came close to shipping)

BTTF 30th Anniversary (never came close to shipping)

Walking Dead Season 5 (never came close to shipping)

Flash Gordon / The Thing / Shaun of the Dead Mondo SBs (this order did ship)

Makes me wonder if they'll ship Terminator Genisys (next to ship out) or if I'll have to go through the same crap again with in-store pickup and cancel my shipping order.

For some reason, I've only ever bought them from Target by walking into the store and not from the website. Conversely, I almost always order Best Buy stuff online and have it shipped to the house.

I'm a freaking paradox. :)

Oh, Best Buy isn't usually an issue with having their stuff show up without any problem. Mad Max is it for real issues.

Target, they can go fuck themselves for their online portion. It's useless.

The reason I do my online ordering with shipment is that sometimes, It's a pain to get out to a Target before or after work on a Tuesday or a Wednesday. Yes, I am that busy at times.

 
This deserves a second post, since I'd file this in the "we don't have enough issues with Target, so let's toss something else into the mix" category:

I went to go pick up my BTTF 30th anniversary steelbook from Target today and there was a couple of people up at the CS desk, with two open copies of the BTTF SB on the counter.  They had an issue that the copy the purchased first didn't have all three of the movies in there.  They had BTTF2, BTTF2 and BTTF3 in there, plus the bonus disc, though no copy of BTTF.   The second copy they pulled off the shelf also had the same issue with BTTF2, BTTF2 and BTTF3 in the package.

The CS rep handling my pickup suggested i open up the copy I had and when I checked mine, it had BTTF, BTTF2 and BTTF3 in the package with the bonus disc included, so I was OK.   I personally didn't see the steelbooks up close, so I can only go on what the CS rep said to me, though the rep handling that other issue seemed to be on the radio with someone in Electronics trying to figure out how to fix it.

So, I think people should open up their copies and double-check to see they have all three of the movies and not multiple copies of a single movie.  Especially since Target still has copies in abundance during release week and it would be easy to swap it out while they still have a bunch of them.  Later on, might be an issue.

 
I got mines this morning I was soooo happy ...............But for you guys that missed it there doing a second run starting Nov 3 at 9:00 am
