That's probably the "interesting stuff" that happened to Bundle in the Damned.. and explains why shifty owns it (they might have had keys for it and the dev dropped out at the last minute in favor of the IG bundle).

This is a much better horror bundle than Groupees has.

It's a rather damning reflection on Groupees if the dev favoured being in an Indie Gala bundle.

Same with Fatman but Read Only Memories had more exposure for sure in gaming blogs and such. Pretty nice to see a high profile game bundled already.

 
Damn ROM got bundled fast.

I already Fakeyed it but I guess I will group buy for the other stuff if Blade hosting.

True they should have tried at least one Steam major sale. Many would have fakeybroed it (including myself if I was feeling in the mood) If it didn't sell well or even sold well they could bundle it earlier next year. Course now it will be sold a decent amount but they will get a lot less.

 
Damn, I was looking through Steam and saw a really cool game called X-Note. As it turns out, it was bundled with a lot of other games I am interested in here on IG. I don't know if it had a happy hour or if IG even allows you to hold on to a HH game this long, but if someone still does have that bundle, I want to buy it off you.

 
Hmmm, only interested in two games (pirates and rom), I think I'll miss out on tremorbroing them thanks to stupid update times and resellers, bitch about it for a little bit to myself, then hope for inclusion in another bundle.

I wonder how it's possible a developer would agree to join a bundle without knowing the pricing of said bundle. Regardless, the cunningly deceptive bundle site from the land of pasta strikes again!

I'm really kind of ashamed for them because it's a good game and critically acclaimed too, plus obviously a very recent release that a lot of people paid to Kickstart or bought at or near full price.

Oh well, it could be worse. They could have done a Poopees bundle.

That dev is such a dumbass.. it's been on steam since Oct 6th, so of course it'll have more sales from the IG bundle. Also, their Kickstarter made $64k, IG has made 9.3k from the bundle and that will be split across all of the devs after IG takes their cut so ROM's profit won't be anywhere remotely close to what they made from the Kickstarter.

Now I realize why the game got bundled.. the dev doesn't understand the concept of money or sales in general. It's a shame, the game looks like it would sell decently if it had good discounts on steam over time.

I doubt it. The dev still stands to make some money from sales of the soundtrack, bonus materials, and cards / icons / backgrounds.

 
I don't think a dev can put their game on the daily featured deal. I think Valve still has to pick you for that.

They can of course put their game on the Weekly sale but that has about as much prestige as being in a Poopees bundle.

 
So what's with his "it's full price again tomorrow?" Is he pulling the game from the bundle, or is he thinking that the price of the bundle is gonna go to like $20 on account of the "before the price increases tomorrow" warning from Gala?

It had a 33% off discount on the Steam store during the Halloween sale. The sale is over, so it's full price again. That's what the dev meant by "going back to full price", it won't receive a discount until Christmas.

He can't stop the bundle from running but he can control the price on Steam, so...

It was tweeted 4 hours ago. He was talking about the IG bundle, not the steam sale.

IG really lucked out with this game. If the dev had any sense to research IG bundles and how to do sales I don't think it would have been bundled this quickly.

I know it was tweeted four hours ago. I don't believe he, or anyone else, really has the legal power to stop Indie Gala from selling the game, especially because they're in fucking Italy and they don't give a fuck about lawsuits. Or contracts. And shit.
