I highly recommend Spectra.

It's a game you can play in small spurts and get quite enjoyment out of it. It reminds me a bit of F-Zero, but with a stellar soundtrack. If you ever played Super Hexagon on your phone and enjoyed the music, you'll enjoy this! Chipzel is the s***!

So after a week of playing Halo 5 I can be pretty certain it is just not for me.  I am not horrible but I feel frustrated more times than elated playing the MP.

Counterpoint:

Spectra is one of the worst games I've played on Xbox One this year (and I've probably played 50 during this time). The other worsts being Infinity Runner, Toro, and Overruled.

The music is good, but that's literally all it has going for it. The lack of speed control, falling off the edge constantly, lack of multiplayer, and utter lack of variety in both visuals and gameplay are all lame. Just a really undercooked mobile port IMO.

Same. I still got my 360 hooked up with a 1TB external drive that's halfway full of games I bought and everything GWG has given me for 360.

Sigh. Backlogs are not for playing games. It's about having an inconvenient amount of tiles to scroll past in order to get to something worth launching. Moar scrolling = moar winning.

It was creepy, but felt like they were trying too hard to be unique (Which is 100% what the commentary is about when I skimmed through it hoping to learn about the movie). Overall a bit too indie drama for me and not enough horror. Lots of the "Is the monster going to show up or is it a normal person?" didn't work because every time they were in a place with only 1 exit, you knew it wasn't really the monster coming. This happened way too much. Didn't hate it, but didn't love it. Still better than I was expecting. Especially the audio. That part I did love.

Commentary is one huge commercial for the movie. I thought they'd talk about the scenes being shown on screen, but they were just a guy calling people and asking them about how great they thought the movie was. Maybe I got a weird rental version and the normal version actually talks about the movie.

There are many 360 games I'd love to play on X1 just for streaming/recording videos. Most aren't very popular though, so I doubt to see them get BC.

Let's try an opposing opinion. DiRT 3 is one of the best racing games on the 360 and you should not pass it up especially for free (well paid for with gold). Let's take it's 87 metacritic score as indication that there are others out there who agree. But don't put your faith in reviews, it's a free download if you have gold so everyone should get it and try it for themselves. I would compare it more to Forza 4 in that it is an arcade sim that does a great job staying sim based in driving physics, but a little arcadey to keep the fun in it. FH is more arcade than sim. While Forza Horizon's rally expansion was really good and made many of us hope for a Forza Rally game, it is not as good or better than DiRT 3. Period.

This is like telling someone to play go play Halo 5 instead of Team Fortress 2 just because more people are playing online. Different system and different play styles within the same genre. And Storm Island is not rally racing or anything akin to it. It's more like Motorstorm than DiRT. That said it is a lot of fun and adds a fun new dimension to the game.

I'm sure not so many people were going to flock to DiRT3 multiplayer either, but it's the principle of the matter here. They altered the GoD version for GWG in order to charge $10 for an online pass for a game with a small online player base. What's next? Maybe a Halo game goes GWG, but where Firefight has to be bought seperately or microtransactions are needed to buy armor that previously was bought with credits. Maybe they just start releasing demos as GWG.

Like someone else pointed out I have to wonder how DLC ends up working with BC for this game. Will it be included a la Borderlands? Will it recognize you own DLC and transfer over? Would my VIP pass from my new disc purchase work with the BC copy? What about the Gold Edition, will that be BC compatible? Will DLC even be there at all for it. Also curious about Forza 2-4 and all the delisted DLC.

My only complaint for the Mass Effect Sale is, that they never put Pinnacle Station on Sale from ME 1...it's overpriced and not even that good. But the completionist need it.

I'm thinking about trading Halo in this week and just preordering FO4. Just can't get into Halo... Never played a Fallout game, but the preview looks great. I should be fine with the story, not having played the others, right???

I would preorder BO3, but I am getting SW:B and only really need 1 shooter at a time (plus I found a cheap AW Atlas Pro Edition a while back at Target, so I don't really need a new COD this year).

Have you played Fallout 3 and Skyrim? Honestly I hated them and stopped playing both after a few hours, I enjoyed New Vegas much more. Most of the quests were basically "find item and bring it back".

That said, I have it preordered because I'm going to pay it 5€ after trading in The Witcher 3 (which I got digitally). Along with Halo 5 and Black Ops 3 I'm not going to buy any other game this fall, unless they discount PES 2016 under 40€. If it's as boring as FO3/Skyrim I'll flip it and make a profit, otherwise I'll have another game for my backlog.

You are in for a treat. As cheesy as it sounds, I will never forget the moment when the Vault 101 door opened for the first time. The ambient music, the wide open beautiful apocalyptic environment... and that fucken rabid dog that came up to me.

What's confusing? Part of what we do on this forum is debate the value of games at a specific point in time. It's a great game... but we're all here because we like deals, right? A single player game that is more than a year old should probably be on a digital "sale" for less than $20 at this point.

Someone asked if it was a good buy at this point. No... it isn't a good buy right now at $20 IMO.

They have said mods will be available on the console versions. The last time I heard, their implementation was still a mystery. It's unlikely that they won't be as extensive as the PC version because they have to be curated somehow, but it's something. Fallout 4 also seems like a prime candidate to get the "paid mods" treatment that failed for Skyrim. It was too late to bring them into that game, but I could see Fallout 4 pioneering paid mods on Steam if it launched that way out of the gate.

A single player game that is more than a year old should probably be on a digital "sale" for less than $20 at this point.

So, $15? Cheaper is better, but I don't know what you're expecting from a AAA game with great reviews.

I agree that SP games don't hold their value as well as MP generally, but I'd much rather have Wolfenstein for $20 than Brink for $5. MP games are only as good as the community is active, and year old MP games are full of veteran prestige fully unlocked no scope douchebags, hackers with lag switches, or just empty (assuming the new annual release is already out).
