There's some decent stuff in there.

FFXIV: A Realm Reborn for $10 is appealing. AC: Syndicate at $40 is the lowest deal for that, I think. Knack is $4.99. Same with Lara Croft & The Temple of Osiris.

The 4th page shows $5.99 and $4.99 and up BR deals. That's pretty damn useless since you can't tell if something is $5.99 or $19.99. There's a few movies in there that would make good gifts, like Alladin, Magic Mike XXL, and Pitch Perfect 2. No telling what the actual prices are though.

Also used games are B2G1. No idea if any of this works online.

Still lots of football to be played, but fun to look forward. Final four teams is going to be interesting.

  • All signs point to Alabama strolling into the final four (sorry Gator)
  • Clemson should be fine (UNC might be a test, if UNC beats Clemson I don't see them vaulting themselves into the final four)
  • Notre Dame has a huge test against Stanford next week
  • Big 10 Winner (assuming Iowa and Mich State both win next week)
  • Big 12 Winner (very possible they all wash themselves out since the four best teams are all playing each other today and next week)
Assuming everything does as expected (i.e. higher ranked teams win all the games) then there's probably gonna be 5 teams that deserve to go and someone's getting left out. But I could see Notre Dame slip (which might significantly boost Stanford) and both the Big 10 and/or the Big 12 play themselves out of the final four.

Watching Age of Ultron. I get that they have this whole universe planned out, but it's a little too obvious that the details of each movie aren't planned in advance. Things just pop out of nowhere that could have been built a bit into previous movies for a proper lead-in.

I might grab it if they had the sea foam color.

Edit: Wait that's not paint. Dammit!

Thanks for everyone who joined my stream for a bit. It was nice to try it out. Uncharted was a bit slow in the beginning to watch, but at least you got to see me get murdered over and over again in chapter 4.

I'm really too nice of a person. I called Target because an order I placed for a computer desk and a TV stand, well I went and picked up the computer desk and all seemed fine, but it wasn't. We got new Target Red Cards today and we activated them, but that was after the order had been placed. I just wasn't thinking. The order was on my wife's old Red Card which is now probably invalid. I asked at the store if all was well and they said yes, so I took the desk and left.

I get home and see that the charge is still pending and the desk is not listed as picked up. The TV stand I couldn't get store pickup so it is being delivered. I was worried that something might go awry with the TV stand part because they'll charge when they ship I think and then that's on the old card. Seems like that would fail. I wouldn't care and would just order again when that failed, but there's a deal ending today to get an extra 10% off the order (select home items). So I thought I'd try to cancel it and then reorder just the TV stand. So I did that, but it turns out that I didn't cancel the TV stand, rather I canceled the desk I'd just picked up!

So I was calling because I didn't want to rip off Target and wanted to tell them what happened and get the desk paid for. Plus who knows if this would put a black mark on our record. I also wanted to try to get the payment method changed for the TV stand. Anyway, it's too late tonight and the guy I talked too wasn't the right department and couldn't help and told me to call back tomorrow during business hours.

So there you go. I was calling Target support to try to make sure I actually got charged for an item that they didn't actually charge me for. What a loser!

Went back to Yakuza 3's ultimate skill mode. Vig inspired Mild to be a better version of himself, which inspired me to be a slightly less mediocre version of myself. Team round 5 and ultimate round 4 to go, then the plat's mine.

I guess I understand trying to win it on the road, but when you have all the momentum I think I would have kicked the extra point to tie it with that little amount of time left.

Got it. Don't know why the last few challenges scared me off, got them in about an hour's worth of time.

Now I can go back to figuring out what game I want to play next, after making fun of guardian last year for his game selection process.

Happy Birthday Tyler!

Damn I missed out in the $20 PSTV. I would've grabbed the extra for my nephew. I'm debating giving him the other bundle but I want one for myself too.

BB has KH 2.5 used for $14.99 and it's available online.

Having trouble finding other good candidates for the b2g1, though. The Vita selection online is crap and there's just not much left for PS3 anymore. Tons of titles at the $14.99 pricepoint are available online, but I already own everything. Sly Collection, MGS Collection, GoW Saga, Killzone Trilogy, etc..

Weirdly the b2g1 deal doesn't stack. If you want to buy 6 games you have to do it over 2 transactions, otherwise it only makes 1 game free.

Went through all the PS3/PS4 games < $20. Here's some less obvious/recent B2G1 candidates with online shipping you guys might be interested in:

Bound by Flame PS4 is $10/$9 and is definitely worth that IMO.

Infamous: Second Son is $15/$13.50

Metro: Redux is $15/$13.50

Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection is $10/$9

Resonance of Fate is $10/$9

Hunted - The Demon's Forge is $10/$9. Local Co-Op only, included because there's been co-op interest lately.

I went with KH 2.5, Metro Redux, and Drakengard 3 for $29.48 after tax.

Drakengard 3 was awesome, easy fun plat. Resonance of Fate is great too, Simmias and Stotch and I are RoF bros for life.

Hunted was a fun co op game with my girl but it glitched out the plat cuz 1 shard piece never showed up and it is a known stupid glitch.

Peace all and hope everyone is having an awesome weekend!

The only thing that made me a bit leery of Drakengard 3 is that there's 6 pieces of content DLC. They're all character prologues and they're $5.99 each. I don't think they've ever had a sale and each has 3 bronze, 1 silver, and 1 gold trophy. From pst.org it looks like there's about 2-3 hours to 100% each prologue.

The Japanese language DLC is also $4.99.

yeah that dlc seemed awesome, with each of the sisters, but the game is complete as it is. This isn't Asura's Wrath with the ending sold as dlc. i just youtubed that anyway

the only hard trophy is the final rhythm trophy, but i got that on my 2nd try, just gotta believe
