I immediately thought that we would have been drinking with him and the PR guy on Target's dime. I knew damn well that I was not going to go to a Nascar race.

ETA: With this Thirsty Beaver post, maybe we would have just had to hang out at Duckworth's and told Zimm he was welcome. That sounds like a place a Nascar group would go.

I watched some of that nascar race yesterday. They only turn left, but it's not bad. We were rooting for the Target car, but they/Zimm failed us again.

Don't knock the Beaver man. You have to be inside that place to truly understand it. It was pretty amazing.

On road courses they turn right. Watch those. Also some tracks are triangles instead of ovals. Watch those too. But the season just ended so you have to wait until February.

But Larson finished top-10 yesterday so that's good!

Yeah some of the deals are live. Disney Infinity 3.0 is $40, Tony Hawk is $30 as is Elder Scrolls, I'm guessing all of those will be cheaper elsewhere. Their B1G1 for a dollar DVD sale doesn't seem to be live yet, that's the only thing I cared about there for some xmas gifts.

 
Scott Pilgrim blu ray steelbook is $5 at Amazon and Best Buy, that movie is awesome.

Married with Children compete series is $20 at both places as well.

Realized that the TV I ordered doesn't have analog audio-out. Guess I won't be hooking it up to my old receiver. :( I might be able to use a digital audio to analog converter, but the one at monoprice says it doesn't work with 5.1 output-only TVs/only supports PCM audio. I looked at the TV manual online and it says there are options for the audio output, but doesn't list what they are. Hopefully PCM is one of the choices. Yes, I should get a receiver with HDMI input/switcher, but that's another big expense.

I've decided that the concept and execution of super mario maker are superb but ultimately the idea of random mario levels with no goal in sight is not interesting to me. Just like every game with community created content. I'd probably play for an hour and never look at it again.

Speaking of vinyl, apparently best buy sells it. Hoping they come through for me on an order of the scott pilgrim soundtrack and childish gambino's camp. Didn't know either of those had vinyl versions in the first place. 

 
Hey Zimm- is there any way to apply a gift card to an order after the fact? There's an eBay deal today for $200 target gift card for $185. I could be saving another $15!

I looked at my order online and I don't see any options at all. Not even cancel (of course I don't want to cancel), but the status is just "Order created".

Well instead of hording and buying too many games I'm playing what's current and moving from 1 game to the next. I got a lot digitally when the sales were good for older stuff or things I was trying to move from the 360 to the PS3. With new PS4 games it makes more sense to buy them, play them, talk about them, and then re-sell them. For new games there just isn't any benefit to digital currently. Not even cheaper prices which should be the case.

Digital is convenient for sure but it just doesn't support my current gaming habits. Do like it this way better though. Also prefer one ecosystem as opposed to multiple consoles. I'm on Chapter 3 of Alan Wake now and when I'm finished off goes the 360. :)

 
I've been planning to grab a 360 for years just for the few exclusives, but as time goes by that's dwindled quite a bit. I just have so much on other systems to play that it feels pointless. Like Tales of Vesperia, which I've wanted to play for ages. Well...I have Tales of Symphonia, Tales of Symphonia 2, Tales of Graces F, Tales of Xillia, Tales of Xillia 2, and Tales of Hearts R still to play. Even if Vesperia is the best Tales game ever it's kind of pointless to keep the game in the "to buy" list when I've not played the 6 others I already have from the series.

It's a shame that despite all of those Tales games, the only ones to approach Vesperia's quality are Graces F and Hearts R.

 
Well I guess I need to take another week off from work for JC3.  Can I play a video game every day for two weeks straight without wanting to kill myself?

Still liking it. I hope the sequel improves upon the more annoying aspects (the load times can get a bit long, you're forced to acquire-then-confirm upgrades/skills one at a time, and accepting/completing quests takes too long because of a 5-second jingle that has to play every single time).

For those that bought Breach & Clear on Vita it's already hitting $60-$75 for sold listings on ebay :) I'm not selling my copy (yet anyway) but man easy $$$ for sure.
