Dark Souls II is $14.99 from GF which makes it cheaper than BF, albeit a used copy. Also no tax for me at least, unlike Best Buy. So that one might be worth picking up.

It's always amazed me just how much of a nerd Steve Albini looks like. I know he has a reputation for being a total asshole as well.

The DLC on that one is fairly significant. There are three story DLCs. Jaws of Hakkon is a 6-8 hour additional game area. The Descent is 2-4 hours. Trespasser is 4-6 hours and is an epilogue to the main story and a setup towards a sequel.

(times from pst.org trophy guide, so main story content is about half that on each.)

Thanks, it's not like I'd play it any time soon anyway so I may as well wait. Might grab Lords of the Fallen though. I'll have to give the lost another look over once I'm off work.

he might be a complete asshole but I think he's 100% genuine and has an ear for recording that is above reproach. I like big black/shellac just fine, but he's recorded so many of the bands I love and that's where I know him.

I can't bring myself to buy those ugly bose earbuds yet - the reviews are great, they say that as far as earbuds go they're incredibly well designed for comfort and they sound terrific and $60 isn't unreasonable for a good pair of earbuds, but jfc they're ugly as hell.

I use these with the Vita and my work laptop. Sound is good, you don't hear much around you, and they're durable.

God fucking damn it, I missed another Gamefly sale. Literally stopped reading the thread the post before Vig mentioned it. fuck.

Definitely would have got Lords of the Fallen, maybe a couple other things that are now gone.

Definitely one disadvantage to gaming on the generations most popular console is that games for that console sell out significantly faster. I've seen several gamefly games in past sales available for X1 but long gone for PS4.

Used that $25 off $50 Jet.com coupon to get a USB 3.0 1 TB drive. Our backup drive for our computer crapped out, probably because it was adjacent to a hot water pipe. Whoops. Anyway, cheap replacement backup option for $29 shipped is a pretty good deal.

 
Chicago has to be the greatest food city in the country.

Here's what I ate for three different meals:

That's a Buffalo Joe's Chicago dog with suicide wings.  Their wings taste like nobody else's and are pure heaven.

I also had two meals of stuffed pizza, the best Thai food ever and an unbelievable sandwich from Publican Quality Meats, which is a butcher shop.  fucking yum.

If it wasn't ridiculously cold all the time I'd move back in a heartbeat just for the food.

 
Bust-a-Move 4 is $1.80 (PS1 game). That's pretty cheap and I'm somewhat tempted as those games are pretty fun, but the main thing I want to point out is the listing has a paragraph that reads:

"Please Re-enter Text Here"

When you're playing the DLC stuff, does shit you do there count towards completing the challenges you need to finish for the plat?

If so, I may grab it before I plat to save time.  I just have most assassinations, car theft deliveries, and 15 challenges left for the plat.

I'll tell you what sucks, car troubles right before Thanksgiving. Having to work some magic to get this car taken care of, especially since my wife needs a car tomorrow. Might mean I take the day off, though.
