This thread will attempt to provide a place to discuss past/present/future PC gaming deals. While mainly focusing on Steam games, any standout sales may also be presented. I will not be updating every Daily/Weekly/etc. sale. The tools to help individuals become a smarter shopper will be provided below.

With more and more stuff coming to PC, I'm having smaller and smaller reasons to buy a console. There's some crazy Japanese stuff I want on the Wii U and PS4, but nothing enough to warrant spending my soon to be "Oculus Rift" money on getting.

Tonight we revisited Damned because they added a new monster, Fallen.  This one sets traps all around the level in the form of a statue and if the human is around it, it lights up across the map so the monster knows your location.  We started in the woods, which is easily the worst stage and Drabe killed me LN3000 committed suicide, and Spoder also killed himself so we could get to a better level. We did a few more runs, including one where the humans actually escaped and won, and another where I used Spoder's cheat character, Mary, and murdered all three humans within in seconds.  LN3000 let the game get to him and started hearing voices towards the end.  Still, another fun night.  On Friday we do a special spoderless game night when we tackle 7 Days to Die.  The game of survival in a zombie apocalypse.  The only zombie game on steam....with 7 in it's title....I think.  Come join us after an exhausting Black Friday spent sitting around your computer complaining about the Steam sale.

That seems like a price mistake to me.. it's one of their newest releases and hasn't even been 70% off before. The other newish Idea Factory stuff is 70% off.

 
Agreed that price is kinda nuts and I don't see it ever going less than that. Anything is possible but they haven't bundled yet so anyone remotely interested in that game or Visual Novels in general should probably grab it.

*Edit: Okay I guess Neptunia 1 by the same publisher was in one Humble but of course it was in the expensive ass high tier.

Well if the autumn sale rumors are true this could get ugly.

Just curious but this is Steam's big semi-annual sale people are hyping up right?

The hype died three or four years ago. :oldman:

The Winter and Summer Sales are their "big" events with (typically) the biggest discounts. We now call it the semi-annual disappointment.

Any big hauls you see posted after the sale are from credit generated from card sales or people that buy stuff for the hell of it.

 
My GMG credit hasn't expired yet - did a certain key reseller from the land of tea and crumpets lie to get us to spend our credits on full-priced items?

They ran out of codes for that Amnesia game.  I backordered.  I fully expect it to be canceled since I am sure it is a glitch but who knows.  I had no interest in it at all, but... glitch.

Motoki posted earlier about Microsoft having those Halo twin-stick shooter games on sale. MS has several other games and apps on sale for $0.10, but the search function on the site is hot garbage. Your best bet is to look for "popular" apps and games.

EDIT: Also, frankly, none of it looked all that great. $0.10 for a Bejeweled game, maybe.

Hrm.

I wonder. Since the Steam sale prices are apparently going to be the same for the duration of the sale, does this mean we might be able to get Amazon to price match?

 
Tony will get price matches done for us!

It does take some fun out of the sale to check for price glitches everyday.  Looks like only today will we be price glitch hunting.
