Target Clearance Thread XXII

My credit is nonexistant, so Target is the only place that gave me a credit card. It's the Target-only one, but it helps to build up credit by using it.

Every little bit helps...especially when you're combining 50 or better yet 70% off clearance price points and possibly other deals.
I don't disagree and mainly use it for the extended returns. They're still making it highly inconvenient to use without planning and if I didn't already have one I wouldn't get it.

So I notice Brickseek & Fyndly Target inventory checker both show a low price and instock of a video game.  However when I go to that exact store to purchase, it scans a price slightly above the price quoted from Brickseek & Fyndly.  What gives?!

If it's a clearence item, the clearence team needs to scan the item to update to the lower price. If you are in store you can ask if they are around

Is the clearance team separate from Target sales team? I went yesterday on Black Friday, so I assume they got hammered to roll out a clearance team. Do they usually update each department weekly or daily?

So this debit Red Card is quickly becoming pretty useless. Recently they've taken away the ability to fund it with a CC, then the ability to set it up to just draw what it needs from your account (if you already had that set up you got to keep it), and now you can't fund it with a debit card in store.
So wait, how are you supposed to use it then???

I'm not really sure what they are officially called but there is usually someone with a price gun and stickers that can usually be seen in the morning scanning and reprising in my stores, they usually have a cart and are not doing reshops. I hope that helps

Please indulge my ignorance, I had considered getting one but never looked into it. How does it now work? I get the impression that it's like my Google Wallet card, that I have to put money in the account before I can use it even though it's technically set to draw from my bank account.

The only way in aware to fund it now is through cash in the store or ahead of time with a transfer from your bank account which supposedly takes 2-3 days (never tried it myself but that's what it says).

I just linked my Red Card - Debit Card to my checking account.

Whenever I buy at Target I use it and it auto deducts 5% from the total and takes the rest from my bank account like a normal debit card.

Picked up Tales of Xillia and Tales of Xillia 2 $10 each. Mario bros. 2, mario kart 7, animal crossing $15 each and both pokemon $25 each.

All I got was LEGO Marvel Superheroes for Xbox 360, and Stealth Elf's helicopter from Skylanders. Probably should have got more. I was in my local store for almost four hours going back and forth between a bunch of stuff to buy. I probably should have got more. Cursed adult responsibilities.

You're absolutely using the wrong one. You're using the Target prepaid debit card and not the true Target Debit Card. The prepaid one you have to fund yourself, the Target Debit Card comes right from your bank account. It simply replaces your usual check card and gives you 5% off everything you buy and free shipping on Target.com.

I'm confused are you talking about the target debit card? If so mine is set up to just take the funds directly out of my bank account whenever it used so idk what you mean by fund it

You're right, I messed up on the name. I mean the prepaid card and didn't realize there was a third card (only ever seen the two) since they were able to function the same until recently. The rest of my statements stand based on the service updates they've been sending me.

I dont see the point of having a Xbox One or Ps4 if you dont have the online services. These days its like your limiting yourself to half of the systems functions
I have a PS4 with PS+ and also an Xbox One without XBL Gold... With the games I play on X1, there's no need for it

Fallout 3 GOTY $7.48 207-22-0486

Edit and found a steelbook Lightning Returns for 360 and PS3. WOOT!

I dont have XBL or PS+. I mainly play RPGs and don't need a multiplayer component. What exactly is the half I'm missing? Netflix/hulu/amazon are free through ps4/wiiu. Is there something else that I don't know about?

Nothing. If I played multiplayer online, I'd do it on PC anyways. I only have PS+ for the discounts and cloud save.
