Since I thought the cheap 3DS games thread was a good idea. I thought I would start one for the PS Vita. I will maintain this site a few times a day going forward. Post links up to new deals and I will add them to the OP. Anyhow, here we go:

i am going to share this here, since people rarely venture into this thread, regarding that Amazon get $10 off when using Chase Ultimate Rewards points. if you can get it to work, you can do it on as many orders as u want. as long as u have some points left. there is no limit to it

it is obviously a ymmv
i personally just put 0.01 points for each order.

I received my copy of Corpse Party today. Happy to report that it arrived in pristine condition, I know that several people had gotten them smashed up. Mine was shipped in a box with air pockets as opposed to a bubble mailer.

where can I get more info about this promo? Checked around the Chase site and didn't see anything for it

 
My Steins; Gate order shipped today. It originally had a Jan 5 delivery date (No Rush shipping), but now it's saying Dec 30 delivery. Heads up to anyone else who chose No Rush with Amazon.

I got the shipping notification for mine last night at like 1 AM and received it today via OnTrak

 
Legend of Legacy came. It's the launch edition! But it shipped in a bubble mailer and was crushed at the bottom.

Corpse Party arrived in a box and is mint and perfect. Same with Persona Q Wild Cards.

No OnTrac where I'm on Christmas vacation right now. Thank goodness because when I was in LA for school, most of the time OnTrac was a few days late or just plain old lost the package. They made my Prime shipping useless.

I'm on the East Coast and the game was shipped from Washington state. So if my Dec 30 delivery date holds, I'll be happy that it will be delivered almost a week early.

Apparently Amazon is having UPS walk my Lost Dimension from California across the country?  Shipped a week ago and thought it was scheduled for tomorrow but nope, a week from tomorrow.  Two weeks transit time is a new low for an Amazon order I think.

Was just coming here to post something similar...

So this morning my Lost Dimension shipment FINALLY shows up on tracking and says "out for delivery"

About time.

I get home and there is 3 packages on my doorstep. :whistle2:k

I know Lost Dimension is one.. And some Vita game cases are in one.. WTF is the 3rd?

Do "return" the order? (And keep one)
Do I sell one to someone who missed out?

I verified I was only charged once... They just sent the game twice.

 
Frankly I wouldn't contact them because they always cock it up and do something dumb like try to charge you for it.

Personally I say hook up someone that missed out so you both split the cost or something.

Code:Realize is really good. It's an Otome game, but has a decent story. Also the main girl character has a decently strong character. It also helps all the characters are based off historic figures or literary figures. I need to finish up all the endings but the one I got was good.

Yeah, this is a "holiday" goof up I'm sure. Years ago, I ordered a case for my iPod touch during the holidays, and they actually sent me a full box, instead of just the one that I ordered. I kept the one, and sold the rest.

Have a chat, they will tell you to keep it since its not in their records there is no way to return it. This is based on personal experience, but with a cheaper item.

You can then by relaxed and give the extra one to me for shipping cost lol :)

The last time something like that happened to me was when I ordered a copy of Dante's Inferno for PS3...I ended up being sent two copies. Felt like I should do the right thing so I called and asked them to send me a prepaid shipping sticker or printout and I'd send the game back. The rep basically told me thanks for your honesty but just keep it and forget it.

As it's been stated, their system really has no way to deal with that kind of issue. And considering how most of their CS is outsourced, in my past experiences, CS and shipping are two completely different entities that in no way communicate with one another. LOL So it's not surprising they tell customers to keep these goof ups.

 
So if the end result is the same but one path gets a mark on your account for contacting CS and possibly CS just making a huge mess of things (go ask in the AWD thread if you don't think that's often how it goes) then why would you go down that path?

On it's own, It's a decent game, but you'll get the most out of Blood Drive if you've played Blood Covered. Book of Shadows, you can just youtube the last part of it.

$29 for it is great though

 
I still remember the time Digital Rivers shipped me 2 large cow plushes and 2 3DS Harvest Moon A New Beginning. I told them honestly and they were all well you'll have to pay to ship it back and we'll send a label.....never happened so I gifted it to a friend who was leaving town....oh that Cow Plush is so soft...

 
Wow all this shipping crap with Lost Dimension makes me think i better check the packages that arrived the last week that i havent got to. Wonder if i have extra or missing copies of stuff. I do recall ordering a copy of that

I've never had Amazon goof like that but BBY has several times. I remember once when i ordered the walking dead for ps3 when it was on sale for like $8 they sent me infamous second son for the ps4. This was like a month after the game had come out o_O I've also received a beard trimmer with someone elses order on the invoice and other screwed up stuff from them

Going to be buying my first Vita in the next couple of days and have been leaning towards buying a used/refurbished on from GameStop because I have credit there. Any reason to get a new one instead?

Also does the Vita have any internal memory at all for storing game saves? I don't plan on buying digital at all and don't really want to spend an arm and a leg for a memory card.

My thing with handhelds is that there's no replacing a controller if the one you got is worn to high hell.

The slim model has 1GB internal but the original does not.
 
You will want a memory card, games will still have patches, some of them are large and some games are available download only. The 16 GB preowned was on sale from gamestop for $20 earlier in the month. Just keep your eyes peeled for good deals on a decent sized one and hope you don't run out of internal storage before then.

I concur. 1GB won't work too well when updates hit. Granted I have yet to get really hit by any majorly huge updates on the physical games I've played on my Vita (Just small ones), but there are games that have bigger patches. In addition some games have some pretty beefy save file sizes. It's not all just a couple of kilobytes here and there.

I make due with the 8gb card that came bundled with my system. I have plenty of indie & retro games downloaded to the system and a couple smaller retail games and still have some space left. I think 8GB is manageable if you don't go crazy feeling you need every game you own on the system. Keep in mind as well that games install a small amount of data even for the physical releases. This is for the save data, icon, and whatever else the dev wants. Most of them are small.

Technically you could get by with the 1gb internal space, but probably not for very long as system updates need storage space to download as well as the game data... so it'll be a lot of competition for such a small amount of space.

 
OK should I just go ahead and pick up Code Realize? I noticed that most of the reviews on Amazon had female names (expected since it is after all an Otome game). 

Well then again I play Hatsune Miku games so I should probably keep my mouth shut about what games guys should play.

If you like fantasy steam punk settings with historical/literary figures and a female protaganist who isn't quite super weak and stands in the back while the men do the work, with some decent storytelling and mystery, just do it. It's pretty fun, the graphics are good, and the characters aren't bad.

I don't know about GameStop used systems but I bought mine off ebay used and was pretty burned by doing so. The guy clearly just left it plugged in constantly so the thing only has an hour of battery life max.

I'm considering buying a vita slim just so I have a second system to play on. I'd always go new on consoles.
