Yeah I think that's the part that's really making me wonder what to do. The thought of getting in even some older games I missed has some appeal to me though. It's silly to say but no trophies is sort of con even though I rarely go for plats.

I also fear I'll get tired of lugging the laptop around as the most I usually bring anywhere is my Vita. The pros are obvious in the types of games I could potentially play but not sure that outweighs the cons.

I guess I'll mull it over some more. Don't want to jump in and regret it.

I guess I'm just dealing with the fact that I'm old, an adult with kids, and don't have enough time to play my PS4. I'm mainly lead by the thought of playing some higher caliber games like The Witcher and Tomb Raider on the go but I definitely see your point as it's my main concern...lol.

Yeah good point. Not sure the lugging every day would be worth it. Only thing I ever really carry besides my phone is my Vita.

Steam has achievements for most games. Close enough, though having it all tracked in one cross-platform trophy card would obviously be better.

 
best buy has the most complicated phone deal I've ever seen. b1g1 on Samsung smartphones (s6 I guess) and you get 2 free Samsung 32" TVs and a $200 gc per new line, but only when activated on the at&t next plan. The free phone only starts being free after you've paid "up to" $65.01 on it and they have to be part of some 30 month 0% apr program to qualify.

You can see enemies and shoot them before they even attempt to shoot you. They will not fire at you until they get within half a screen or so of you. You wont ever get shot from an enemy off the screen. Thats nice.

I found it rather fun actually because you can run and gun somewhat. Heads roll! Blood everywhere!

I just realized there are only 2 bronze trophies, one silver and the rest are gold. GOTY!

You guys who stream use OBS? Trying to figure out how to make my streams have no black borders around it. If that's not possible I think some kind of image around it would work... Have no clue how to do that either lol. It seems perfectly fine while previewing it in OBS, but come stream time the bars always appear.

Searched google and found nothing that would solve it.

I am oddly intrigued. My wife and I could use new phones and I could use 2 small TVs like that. I am also a Samsung fan boy.

ETA: Does anyone have a link, I am striking out trying to find the details.

I just saw it in store, good through 12/31 or 1/2, it isn't clear. That's literally all the details the sign has minus the fine fine print.

Yeah, I found that one too. I am not sure if I would be terribly interested in the whole Next thing or not anyway since we are not really ones to upgrade all that often, but B1G1, 2 TVs, and possible gift cards seems like I should look into it.

It is only 720p. Anything less then 1080p and you might as well buy an XBox One.

Seriously these are $200 TVs (currently on Sale for that at BB). If you aren't interested in Next (I wouldn't be either) why not just wait for a better sale on a 32" TV and buy two? During Black Friday I bet a comparable 32" TV was $150. Probably will be again by Super Bowl Sunday.

I hate getting locked into weird contracts and stuff for a few bucks maybe.

There really were not any advertised deals that I saw that were very good for smaller TVs like that. It was mostly all for large ones. If I was just buying the TV straight out I probably wouldnt buy a $200 even. They are for my kid and my wife (I never watch TV in the bed) who are used to watching things on old tube TVs and rarely even pick the HD channel when using the HD TV in the living room. I wouldn't buy 720p for me. For them it is a huge upgrade.

With all that said, I would still be leery of the Next business. I am wondering if that is just tied to the gift card part though. Hard to know when I can't find the details of the deal.

You only keep old 360 games if you let your subscription lapse on Xbox. You'll still lose the Xbone games.

If you stream from PS4 all that is taken care of for you. You have limited options and kinda gotta make do with what's available on the PS4 stream settings.

Nobody here who streams does it from anything besides the PS4, as far as I know. If you do buy a capture card and go the other route, then OBS and Xsplit are the two most popular streaming software. OBS is free but more cumbersome and Xsplit costs money but is easier to use, from what I hear. If I do stream using my El Gato I just use the free sream software that came with it, Game Capture HD.

Even now there are a few options under $200 on Amazon and BB for a 32" TV if you aren't too particular. I will concede they might not have been much cheaper as I haven't been looking at 32" TVs in a couple years. When my MIL moved 2+ years ago I was looking and even then they were around $200 IRC. She had some larger tube TV but it was dying and I really didn't want to move it 50 miles and up 3 flights of stairs. She ended up saving a few bucks and getting a 26 or 27 though.

Just seems like too many hoops to jump through either way as you said.

Lol, did you even play at all? I finally put my headset on and could only hear what I think was one of your kids smack talking with some other kid. I also had no ammo, and couldn't get some because the missions would keep starting up.

I've used OBS before when I was streaming GW2 for a little bit. Software is a little cumbersome at first, but I didn't mind it. I don't think I ever had any problems with black bars showing up though, maybe you need to change what the ratio is, or just stream a particular window? I think I had mine set up to stream program specific information rather than my entire desktop, but I'd have to check.

yeah by the time you got on i was pretty gone and my kid was telling some other kid he was gonna eat him and i was laughing it up and eating some pound cake. you can tell if it is my kid playing usually cuz he puts no the skeleton costume and the sack head. sorry dude i tried to stay up but couldn't. ill be on still and we can actually do stuff. ill form a chat party too cuz i couldn't tell when derek was talking or other people were. and this dude showed up out of nowhere at my house and is a cool guy but he wanted to play and he had no idea how to shoot or drive and kept talking about shit and im like dude we are streaming on mic lol. ill totally be in the zone tonight and we can make a bunch of $ and chat etc. peace man

Yea I'll be down whenever today. I don't think I'm going to leave the house at all. I'm spent from driving and shoveling in this snow all day and night yesterday.
 
fuck it, Rogue it is. It's a long plat and I've got some extra time on my hands since today is probably my last day of work til Monday, so no better time than now to start it really.
 
they just opened a new library within walking distance, im gonna go check that out and then im down for gtav/rdr/blops3 etc all day.

also i had 150,000 in four kings casino and then i lost it all. i think iv got 26 chips left. oh wells

I wouldn't. The game is fun at the start and turns to absolute shit. You'd be better off spending a few on Nom Nom Galaxy. It is an odd game but the lady might like playing that couch co-op with you. I really enjoyed it.

ETA: If you do get it, just do not let yourself get overwhelmed by the tutorial. It is way more complex than it should be.

Have you played QUBE? With the way you loved Portal, you should give it a try. Cross-buy with stacking trophy lists for a small price. I am not sure I would want to try and play it on the PS3 if going for 100% though. The first person platforming for a secondary game mode trophy was tough even with a DS4.

 
It just dawned on me that the hot blue eyed blonde I used to see a lot at the Tijuana Flats near my house...is the stripper I got a lap dance from last weekend.   And apparently she runs in the neighborhood.  Small world!

Yeah, pretty much did every option available from older YT vids. Thing is they took out some features so I was running in circles for a while, but I'm good now tyvm X). It alllllmost fits perfect in full screen (I bet I can easily fix the small line at the top of the game window), but still has black bars on the sides when viewing it in Twitch's default sized player. But it's all good, I'm satisfied with what I got for now. If I can't figure it out myself I will wait until I get a better monitor. All good all good. :)
