Note to self: Don't stay up until 3a when you know your kids get up between 6-7a. I'm getting to old for that shit.

Just scrolled up and saw that just about every other post is me. Cojiro is going to give you a break from the Cojiro for a while lol. Had fun chatting with you dudes.

If you see me streaming some time in the future stop by and say hello. Or call me a fuckboi, that - that also works.

Shut the fuck up about a slow connection in a rural area.
No wonder your attempt to stream MLB15 that time was a pixel fest.

I went back to just cause 2 this morning.  it really feels like jc3 fixed everything annoying about jc2 and improved everything that wasn't bad.  the _only_ thing that seems better in jc2 are the load times.

I really don't like this finding the collectible boxes thing to 100% an area and not having a functional map (not that the one in jc3 is great but at least it shows you more targets the more you clear out instead of nothing).

if somebody streams today, please stream something very boring.  I really should get some work done.

I think the only online game I've played is the MP component of CoD: Ghost. I'd miss PS+ storage, though, and some of the leaderboard stuff is nice to see. Maybe the deals. Not sure how big a difference those deals make--hard to believe they'd overwhelm the $40 sub cost, though.
Yeah I am a bit over 1GB now too. I played Destiny, Unity, Borderlands, BO3, PayDay2 all online this year. I am sure there were many others too. No way would I want to give up online gaming.

throwing up stream, its game of thrones though, so might not be very good if you havent already played it.

Should definitely be boring for mild though.

Going to take my nephew to see Star Wars in 3D. I told him we can see it 2D or 3D and he picked 3D. He's a big fan of the series so I know he's going to enjoy it. Plus it's his first Star Wars film in theater.

Good times!

ok, I'm skipping on oreshika.  I'll play final fantasy x-2 to get my rpg fix instead.  I will pick up minutes though, that doesn't look too bad.  especially for two bucks.

Sweet already back to the spot where I left off two years ago in Red Dead Redemption.  Jesus I didn't get very far.  Not sure why I stopped cause this game is awesome.

I just saw that Lemmy from Motorhead died. I'll never forget him getting pissed at someone in the crowd at the Waukesha Expo Center for thowing something at him on stage when they were opening for Slayer.
RIP Lemmy. Didn't even know he was sick.

Sears and Kmart are getting really desperate with their emails. It's pretty much gotten to the point where it's like "We're not saying we'll blow you if you buy something, but we'll see."
I wrote them off once they stopped carrying games. They used to be great when they would throw free $$$ at you all the time and the coupons could be used on anything. Here's $20 towards a power drill, great I'll get some video games with this! Lol.

I'm looking pretty hard at this "budget" gaming laptop. Specs are pretty great for the price. It is a Dell though.

A little scared it would cement the death of the Vita for me though if I start playing this on lunch. But Witcher, Tomb Raider, and stuff like that on the go does seem appealing.
That's a lot less portable than a Vita and the laptop's not as good as it looks on paper. I've got a Radeon HD 7850 I bought for $150 2.5 years ago. It still crushes that mobile video card even though the 960M just came out this year.

You'll be able to play those games but it won't be anywhere near max settings. Plus with a laptop you'll need to at least carry a full mouse if you want to do gaming. Touchpad just won't cut it, so you'll only be able to do your portable gaming as long as you've got some open desk space to work with.

No, for the poll, since I'd need it to play Destiny.  But cloud storage is also a plus.  Also, the discounts on the games that I buy during sales, that I won't play for years, make up for the cost.  I look at the free games as just a bonus.  Plus I think of the money going towards a more reliable up time and security (in a perfect world), which i'm fine with paying for.  When it was free and there's an outage, you couldn't really complain.

Yeah, only the cheapest of the cheap would quit plus if they didnt give free games.  Which explains why Zimm, Vig  and Harry voted yes!

You can't compare a desktop class card to a laptop card. It's just not apples to apples. Not only that but you linked to the wrong card. The one you listed only has 2GB of GDDR5 RAM where as this 960M has 4GB.

In terms of specs I'm also noting because it has a SSD and 8GB of RAM with a quad core processor. Not too shabby for the $800. You could do worse. Most frigging Alienwares still come with a shitty spinning 5400rpm hard drive for more money.

As for portability I know it won't be as portable as a Vita (not much is) but I'd opt to use a 360 controller over a mouse. My thought is I'd game in my car with the laptop on the passenger side seat with a controller in my hands.

Honestly though that's the part that's making me hold off...seems great now but in practicality not so sure.

Sorry to Derek and CrazyDiamond for my poor performance in gta last night. Some dude stopped by and gave me a bunch of candy bars and then bam i was full retard and now just woke up on my couch. Don't mix alcohol and bars. We can do it again and actually win some missions this time ;)

Yeah, the specs are going to vary based on the individual card. Different manufacturers set cards at different speeds plus the type of memory causes variances. The link I gave was just for a general look at the differences and won't be an exact representation of my card (which is only a 1gb model but wasn't an option) versus the exact specs of the one in that system. It's still good for an easy comparison tool, though.

I'm sure the laptop will work well in general usage. The SSD and CPU are nice and the 1080p is great for a 15" screen. Gaming on a laptop is never going to be ideal, though.

I totally forgot that you'd lose access to all those free games since you don't really own them like on Xbox. #TuesdayBaiting

I'd still keep the subscription anyways for the rare multiplayer match/chat/cloud storage and stuff just like I subscribed to Gold for it before they added free games. Do you need PS+ for streaming?

that sounds just terrible. don't do that. get the laptop if you want the laptop but playing video games on a laptop sitting in your car with it in the passenger seat sounds ridiculous. you'd do it once and then you'd wonder what past trauma in your childhood led you to that moment.

If you have access to somebody else's laptop give it a try. You don't need to fire up a AAA game, just set yourself up in a car with the controller. It'll be uncomfortable, I think, and the whole carrying everything around and dealing with the peripherals thing will probably turn you off to the idea pretty quick.

Speaking of Bloodborne, looks like they just added a dynamic theme to the store:

https://store.playstation.com/#!/en-us/games/themes/bloodborne-hunter's-dream-dynamic-theme/cid=UP9000-CUSA00900_00-BLOODBORNEHUNTD1

Someone buy it, make a video of it, then show me.

Edit: Nevermind

It's pretty cool. Not sure if I'll buy it. Not right away at least. Just pre-ordered Resident Evil 0 to get the theme that came with it and I'm not sick of it yet:

Well hopefully there's something on sale today that I want so I can pair it with the Sound Shapes dlc I need to buy. This 20% off code is burning a hole in my pocket.
