BERLIN (AP) — Police in Germany say a man has died after he and two others blew up a condom machine and he was hit in the head by a flying piece of metal.

Officers were alerted to the explosion Friday in Schoeppingen, near the Dutch border, and found cash and condom packets lying on the ground apparently untouched.

A local hospital informed police that a 29-year-old had died after being brought in by two other men. They initially said he had fallen down stairs, but police said Monday one of them later admitted the victim’s injuries were related to the explosion.

They say the three men apparently got into a car after triggering the explosion, but the 29-year-old didn’t close his door and was hit by debris when the machine exploded.

 
Astebreed is actually pretty damn cool, one of most pleasant surprises of games I played this year. You do have to play through it a lot, but that's kind of standard operating procedure for shmups.

Cool. I'm definitely playing it after I wrap up Montezuma. Just seems like you have to be one seriously organized mf if you want to get the trophies in one run.

What does that mean? Can you play this coop? I see partially invisible people in my game sometimes, but that's it.

The game is super hard. I guess I'm no Stotch.

Is there a way to do a takedown in this game? I've snuck up on enemies, but no button I tried would do it.

It's not too bad. The battle system reminds me of Blue Dragon where the demons do most of the heavy lifting, which I liked. The dialogues though seem to run on and on. I don't think I'll plat it just because that seems like too much grinding but if I get into it more, then it's a possibility I would get the characters up to level 99 and play it again on the hardest mode.

You can't level up or co-op til you fight the first boss. What weapon did you pick? The game gets easier the more you play.

I didn't pick that. I picked the cleaver, I think it's called.

I haven't gotten to a boss yet. I like the game but it was getting pretty frustrating.

I want to try Bloodborne so badly based on all the praise it's gotten but I just don't think I'm up for to challenge, sadly.

I wouldn't say they're the worst, but they're pretty bad. If jrpgs were about the length of south park, people probably wouldn't complain as much. I think the problem is more industry wide in that trophies are an afterthought for most. Very few developers seem to care enough to make fun varied lists.

How far did you get, and what was disappointed? Not a good sign that you don't like it, as we usually agree. I'm only 2 game months into the demo version though, and it seems like there's more features to unlock.
 
Gamesharing for Portal worked swimmingly. So good to get back into that game and co-op levels I haven't done before.

And next time I log into Red Dead I'll try to figure out that posse thing and invite y'all. So far I got:

Throw meesa an invite. I popped the disc in this afternoon and loaded it up. Gives me a reason to play the game.

Just got back from the vet. I noticed two lumps on my dog's chest and underarm and decided to take her in. The doctor felt clusters so we had her take a sample. A couple cells are dividing which normal cells don't so it could be cancer. She's gonna send out for a lab test to confirm.

Worst case, she'd have to get a radical mastectomy. The concern is she's a tiny chihuahua. If they have to remove a large amount of tissue she doesn't have a lot of fat for recovery/to seal it up with.

I'm going to call a specialist office tomorrow that she referred me to in case I want a second opinion. The cost estimate was about $2500 for everything. I love my dog so much and don't wanna lose her. :'(

Edit: She's about 11 so her being older means recovery would probably take longer too. Whenever I've gone through tough times she's always brought a smile to my face. She really is part of the family.

Sorry to hear about your dog, Cleaner. Our pets have always been more like family than just animals. It sucks when they get old, and their health starts to go.

When we were decorating our Xmas tree and the wife started getting out the ornaments she got teary when she came across the one for our Golden that passed away two years ago.

I hope everything works out for the best.

Yeah, Cleaner. Hope everything turns out alright for you. My grandma's dog was a chihuahua mix. She was 10 when my grandma died. My grandma had gotten her when she was 2. I had her for a few years after that until she died from kidney problems when she was around 14. As weird as it might sound, it felt like I was losing my grandma again since she loved that dog so much. It made me feel like my grandma wasn't completely gone since the dog was always by my side. It's rough when they get sick.

Count me in, though I'd have to start the single-player from scratch considering I haven't played RDR in years. I also never finished it. :oops:

All right, it only took all day but I went back and read all of y'all's Star Wars spoilers; only about 50+ pages worth of scrolling.  Looks like y'all covered about everything I thought about the movie.

- It felt a lot like A New Hope, but I didn't really put that together until the Starkiller base was introduced.  I was just enjoying the movie up until that point, and then I was like, 'Wait a minute, I've seen this before.'  I guess for the next trilogy, Episodes X-XII, the bad guys will finally realize they need to engineer their super-weapon to be a little more rugged and better defended; third times the charm.

- I preferred Kylo Ren before he took the mask off.  Definitely to whiny after; seeing the actors ugly mug didn't help.  I'm not really sure he had to take the mask off once it was established he was Han and Leia's son.  It would have been more Darth Vader-esk to not see his face until the end.

- It's definitely being set up for Luke to be Rey's father; although I could see them going for the twins-seperated-at-birth storyline, too.  I did think the last scene (Rey, Luke, Rey, Luke, Rey, Luke, etc.) was a little drawn out.

- I thought the ship battles were really well done.  They did a good job of making them look and feel more like the battles in the original trilogy.

- Where the hell are the Gungans.  Captain Tarpals sacrificed himself to save Naboo after all.  I was sure I read a spoiler somewhere saying it was going to be revealed Jar Jar was a Jedi.

- And yes, my wife cried when Han died.

All in all, I enjoyed the movie.  It was much better than the prequels; to early to rank it with the original trilogy.  It was cool going to see it with my son.  I have vague memories of seeing RotJ with my dad, so it was cool seeing this one with my son.

Is there a better video-game-themed movie than Grandma's Boy?  Not that there's a lot of competition.  In any case, it goes off Netflix on the 1st, 

 
Thanks Tyler and Stotch for telling me about the spoiler.  I just added madchemist to my ignore list unfortunately so I wouldn't see it and could still read the thread.
