PSNOT 3.0 - Let's Talk About University of Kentucky, Baby!

Normally I would say this on a Monday morning, but the great thing about a Monday after a major US holiday is that most normal Mundane Mondaytm meetings are canceled and everyone is still bleary eyed and not looking to do much today.

Also got a nice smile from a cute girl I have never seen before. I need to walk down that way more often now.

If you don't remember what this is (I didn't) it's the stupid spinning limo game.

I don't want to sit the thread out, I'll get too bored at work if I can't blather anonymously on the internet.

Finally 100%d super stardust delta (vita) ~3.5 years after starting it.  No more or less difficult than ultra, although the stupid motion controls crap is awful.  I can't believe you guys didn't think shock and awe on ultra was tough.  It probably took me 10 tries and when I did finally succeed I wiped out shortly after my 10th nuke.

I'm also super annoyed that I didn't just do my first diablo run on hardcore.  I didn't die for the first time until like level 68 on hard difficulty when I was trying to herd the whole map in a rift and ended up getting 3 elites on me.  I would've been fine rolling back to a cloud save if I hadn't been staying on top of save copies.  crusaders are ridiculous, but I suspect their luck saves/blocks and regen (?) don't scale up to the higher difficulties all that well.  it helped that I got some doofy ring early on that summons exploding gremlins every 60s that do something like 20x-30x the most damage my character can do (it's normally around 6.5m at level 70).  I need to figure out this duping stuff.  I'm going to try to do a hardcore run with a barbarian on normal but I suspect it won't be the same cakewalk.

egypt assassins creed sounds fine to me, as does a year off.  I don't know what I think of them changing the formula though, I'm afraid of things being different.  I'm not too wound up about boats being back, that kinda sucks.  Maybe this'll be ac5 and they'll continue the real world stuff again.

I have a shitty lunch meeting and a post-quittin time interview today, so I'll second the fuck work this morning.

Mild, I played Ultra on PS4.  Vita controls probably make Delta more difficult.  And the small screen.

I can't imagine them completely abandoning the Syndicate/Unity engine this early. I'm expecting we'll see more along the lines of the current AC style. Maybe a simultaneous release of two new AC games like with Rogue/Unity, with one being the traditional AC style and one moving to this new gameplay system.

oh I did too. I thought shock and awe was tough on ultra/ps4, I just suck more than you and cro and I'm at peace with that. on delta/vita I think you only have to clear 5 nukes so not nearly as long to get there.

just start the oldest one in your backlog today or take them all to the dumpster.  it'll definitely be better than whatever 'norn9 var commons' is.

I have to finish that because it's my last Gamestop "rental" under their holiday return policy. Otherwise I want to be done with MGR before continuing Brotherhood.

Interesting. Etrian Odyssey V is almost done being developed. I'd assumed they were just going to continue with the Untold reboot series they started instead.

Ha, finally found that damn American Standardbred horse, that was was another one I blew hours on trying to locate in the Great Plains 3 years ago.

BTW I did fire up Toren. It's pretty but I have no idea what's going on and the puzzles at the beginning didn't have the slightest explanation that I recall. I'll play some more tonight but my initial impression was that the game was kinda dumb and unappealing. I was also drunk and sleepy at the time though so that may not be an entirely legitimate judgement.  :whistle2:

I tried getting the Most Wanted trophy (stay alive with a $1000 bounty in MP) in RDR last night but there was no one to shoot.  When I first started It was middle of the night and pouring rain so I figured everyone was just asleep in their rickity old houses.  But after I moved to a new room with bright afternoon sunshiny day, still no body.  And no horses.  And no nothing.  Only way I got any bounty was shooting a lamp by the general store to light a crate on fire.

Maybe those were all just glitched servers?  I'll try again tonight.

Yeah just binge on AC Vig. I was worried I'd be burnt on AC after Black Flag but I can't get enough of Rogue. It's pretty great in my opinion.

Finished Taco Master last night for my first plat of 2016, wasn't too bad.  Only got annoying when the touches wouldn't register.

Don't think  I've ever mentioned it, but I'm a Vikings fan, and I was really torn last night.  Maybe would've rather played Washington on the road, but hoping they learned from the first meeting and can take care of the Seahawks.  Hopefully Marshawn comes back and kinda disrupts whatever they have going on the last few weeks.

Not gonna lie, I have no idea who I want to win that Vikings/Seahawks game.  Is a quintuple overtime tie eliminating both an option?

Tuned into this Awesome Games Done Quickly stream, and they are going to do some Sephiroth challenge if they can get another $5000 in the next 2 hours.  It amazes me how much money people can generate during these streams.  I guess at least this is going to a charity, but still pretty nuts.

A) My PS4 synced trophies all by itself!

B) There's also a Pinball Done Quick event at AGDQ. Twitch broadcast is here: www.twitch.tv/pinballjoe They aren't being very good about announcing what goals they are trying for so you might have to ask in the chat. Basically they pick some goal in the game and time how long it takes to get there. Like this morning they were going for double super jackpot on Stern's Star Trek.

C) Going back to work after the Xmas break is painful.

EDIT: D) Stream seems to be down at the moment....

If you get a W2 produced by a major payroll corporation (not some risky dink in house job) and your bring it to your accountant and they tell you "Hey that payroll company's tax tables are wrong!" then it's time for you to get a new accountant.

Surgeon Simulator. Why do I even have this game. It's quite possibly the new worst game ever. It will forever haunt me though since I started off with one easy trophy before even having to play this shit.

No one in Armadillo? I think I shot the bar keeper to start off the lawmen rushing in. If once you get the most wanted ball rolling there are no other NPCs to shoot before your most wanted meter is about to run out, then fire off a shot of your gun and it will refresh your most wanted meter to full while you wait for lawmen to reach you. Once you start shooting lawmen you shouldn't have to worry about finding any new targets as they'll just keep coming. Just keep firing your gun if your MW meter is about to run out.

Yeah it's probably the worst game I've played on PS4, and that's saying something cuz there's a lot of bad games on there.

It would be a cool game if the controls actually worked. I wish they could have made a regular mode and a "fucking idiot" mode, but they just went the fucking idiot direction.

But it was $1 that's probably why you own it.
