These guys get off topic so easily, it's fucking annoying. I know that's the point of podcasts kind of, but when they actually have things to get through they need to fucking get through them at a reasonable pace before they jump into their OT shit.

 
Mini Rant from my daughters dr visit:

My daughters dr apparently wrote down my height and my husbands in my daughters chart from last time we were in. She looked at me and says I think there is an error you can't be 5'4". No I'm not, I'm 5'8", which she then goes oh what's your husbands correct height then so I can change it? Which I say 5'4" . You figure she would realize I'm taller than my husband at this point, she's an awesome pediatrician, but no, she pauses and has me verify again that yes, I'm 4 inches taller than my Hubby.

Take away is my daughter is on track to be half an inch taller than my hubby. Maybe I'll pass on my height to the next kid :)

Why in the wide world of sports does your daughter's pediatrician care how tall you are? fucking obamacare.
 
Did you guys ever finish your diablo hardcore run? I got timid after the skeleton king took so long for me to kill solo with my barbarian (and now that I know I can't just send good gear from my other characters). Are there any tricks or good grinding spots to get a leg up?

Grinding i probably going to be pretty worthless. I mean there are side events you can do in dungeons and stuff that give some decent xp but killing monsters for xp wont help you. Just play the game online. Everything goes faster and they reward you wit xp boosts just for having partners.

I always ended up with a bunch of the erasable ink on the outside of my right hand when writing in cursive. Look like I had smashed a Smurf.

If you ever have a few hours to kill, Home is a quick 100%.  Took about 2 1/2 hours on the Vita since I read everything during the first playthrough, then zoomed through the other two rest of the trophies.  1 1/2 hours on the PS4 to get them all and that was with some glitches where trophies didn't pop and I had to redo a playthrough because of it.

That glitch seems to be common unless you completely exit the game before loading a save to go for the other path to get the trophies. I cant say it wont happen for sure if you do, but I have not seen anyone complain that did that.

 
Backing up 389.9 GB took about 2:30. It might have been a little more. The HDD swap and system install went smooth and pretty quick. Now I'm restoring and the remaining time estimate is 3 hours, but the estimate for the backup was longer then reality so hoping it goes faster.

EDIT: now estimates 114 minutes

Nice. I have the new drive in and downloading digital games now. Just going to let it run overnight.

A lot of the online community doesn't enjoy playing with people using crazy crafted or modded weapons (if you were using yours). I was the same way back when I was into the game pretty hard. It just wasn't fun for me. Now that I've already had max chars of class, beaten all the story multiple times, and all my friends stopped playing its fun to mess around since all thats left is to get the prestige levels or whatever they're called.

I'd still love to run a legit rift group and see how far we can get.

What is a rift group? Is that the hardcore mode people have been talking about or something else? I'd like to play legit without the uber weapon.

I'd really enjoy playing with thread bros but my schedule is just too out of whack. I can't bring myself to trust randoms when playing with permadeath. Maybe I'll try it anyways. fuckin yolo, right????

Psychonauts 2 had it where you can buy one of those versions and then buy the console version as a $18 add-on or something like that.

Rifts are portals you can open to randomized dungeons with bosses and loot. I believe they'e added endless ones since I've last played that get progressively harder with each floor you go down. The loot drops also get better each floor as well.

I wouldn't be against playing again sometime from scratch and legit.

I had planned on starting RDR's single-player from scratch, but apparently I made a lot more progress years ago than I thought (~47% completion, 30 missions completed). Instead I'll get my bearings on the controls and gameplay by starting a new game while going for the 20-missions-with-the-same-horse trophy at the same time. I'm already 7 missions in, so that hopefully won't take too long.

I also somehow have the War Horse and Golden Guns, despite them not showing as Purchased on PSN.

Nah, I'm only going to be using that stuff to get my random characters to level 70. I was just playing hardcore with a normal character and normal equipment.
 
I think Patton could end up being a good TT value one assuming plus people actually download it. It's got a missable trophy that requires replaying at least half the game from the beginning and the first trophy unlocks as soon as you complete the tutorial.

Had a weird bug, the game froze when the kill 100 German's trophy popped. Don't know if it just happened to freeze when it popped or it caused it.

To replay a level after seeing the score select load. It resets your progress to what it was at the start of that level you are redoing. So if you finish mission 4 and retry mission 2 you will have to replay mission 3 and 4 to get to 5. So best to decide if you want to retry for a heroic victory before moving on to the next level.

I had no problem getting heroics at the end. I would have been done sooner but I spent a night or two on the first stealth mission. fuck that. just run like hell to the end and don't look back. Towards the end I only went with one commando and howitzer cover fire, it was hardcore but better than running 8 units.

Got the plat on History Patton game. Did I win the first TiT of 2016, or did guardian owl beat me? ...... ;)

also i almost missed it and it would have sucked to replay it again, but make sure to buy at least 1 airplane and 1 tank before you beat the game, and to fill your army to the max. I didn't get the max trophy and thought i was messed up but was able to fill it with all grunts in the first level thankfully

 
The weapons I gave out aren't that uber. It's just a random legendary with an exp gem in it. It'll help you level up characters, but it's not going to have any real use beyond that.

I run rifts all the time. I can do torment 6 greater rifts solo. I think the 30s is where I start getting too squishy. I'm running the firebird wizard set, super old build that isn't really that effective anymore. I really want to get this new gear set for the monk though. Let's your seven sided strike add, and detonate, exploding palm without using the skill for palm.
 
PS4 is up and running. Too early to tell if it's any faster with loading yet.

I checked Verizon and just got an upgrade to 50/50 Mbps service (from 15/15) and my bill will be lower due to discounts. They didn't tell me this ahead of time. Of course this is with a new 2 year contract, but I'm OK with that.

 
Also tried out Amplitude. So far I'd say it's OK, but I'm not sure I fully understand how it works. My streaks are always low numbers. It says to quickly switch tracks after completing a sequence to keep your streak going (I think?) and I do that but my streak maximum is always whatever the longest streak within a single track is. Am I doing something wrong or is this just how it works?

 
Gotta wake up early to drop my dog off at the vet for surgery. Trying to keep that PMA. I'm gonna be a wreck at work worrying about her all day.
