He runs a rental service. You throw him a message for games that you want to rent off him for x price, but some may have a waiting queue. Phantoms are only available to play when you're ALWAYS OFFLINE on your ps4. You can be online, but you risk the game not working anymore. So he's offering the offline spot of Firewatch for $6. This was just a brief explanation. Knowing how gameshares work is on a whole different page of instructions

Anyone else feel like the puzzles in The Witness are way too hard? I've had to look up about 90% of the answers and I only have two areas left. I know that's no way to play the game but I feel like I would never figure out most of these on my own knowing the solutions. Can't imagine 99% of people will beat it legit.

I have a friend who does really well with logic puzzles who picked it up. I'll have to ask him how far along he is. The last time I had talked to him he was making decent progress with no spoilers. His Steam achievements looks like he either stopped playing it or is taking a break.

I didn't much care for it myself. I'm not too much of a logic puzzle kind of person though. They're just not a form of entertainment to me.

reason why i sold my share. Too hard. I played roughly 2-3 hours and 90% of the game I was looking shit up. Nothing is explained. I feel if the puzzle was explained then I might actually enjoy it

Even when the YT videos explained how to do them, I still couldn't process what was going on on a lot of them. I just flat out don't see the hype behind the game whatsoever. People are making this out to be the second coming of christ, I just beat it and would give it a 3/10 at best for the nice visuals.

If you stop and think and work through it, they aren't too bad. I have completed two area's and have partial clears in a few others, I haven't looked anything up yet. I would imagine people who just want to blaze through a game for the trophies will not like it.

Anyone have a cheap SFV rental available? Don't have a ps4 but looking at renting it to throw on a mates PS4 just so I can register my fighterID lmao.
 
Aside from the impractical one-account-at-a-time limit, is there any reason a Vita phantom couldn't work the same way offline PS4 phantoms work? Obviously the 'renter' wouldn't be able to get trophies on their main account, and online communication or gameplay isn't possible if the account owner is also online/the password's been changed/the system has been remotely deactivated, but at first glance it seems like it'd be feasible for temporary sharing of single-player libraries, unless I'm missing something.

Not enough demand. Most people would want trophies on their main, and if you cross the ones that don't with the list of users who have a vita and are willing to share accts, you probably have a very small list of users interested. Especially given how most of the worthwhile vita games have been available cheap on sale at one point or another.

Also, simple answer, don't kill the vita further by doing this. Support the system or you will get NO new games.

How do you rent these on a per game basis? If I had your info wouldn't it allow me to download all the games you purchased on your account? Maybe I'm just confused to the way this works.

For instance, I've had a ps4 since launch and have a ton of digital games purchased. I bought my son a ps4, this past Christmas, and with my account on it he can download any game I own and play it on his account. Is this not the same thing?

Lol, that's just like me. I'm not too hype about it since the characters I main aren't available on launch, but I want to at least be able to get a fighterID I want locked in. Will you be available online for the release (Tonight 12 EST AM)? If so I can lend you my slot, once I get my ID locked in. Just depends on how long you need it though.

Anyone renting out single games is renting out an account with just that game on it.

Never let it be said that I don't support the Vita; I've bought multiple games that I already owned on other systems (even UMvC3 at full price, before it got delisted) and even put an extra $50 down on Root Double's KickStarter in hopes that it'll get a Vita release even when none of the other Vita releases the publisher promised have ever happened. But Bandai Namco pulled about six different kinds of bullshit with Digimon Story's localization and release; there's no way to rent it and I'm certainly not going to pay a full $40 for it.

I haven't looked at the translation yet, although given Tale of Hearts R and the SA:O debacle I doubt it's excellent.

Other than that, it's mostly about the months of fans petitioning for an English release only for Bandai to:

-Do no dubbing and no physical release, but still charge full price (and I can bet, given previous efforts, that there's not $40 worth of translation and QA).

-Announce a PS4 version at the same time and focus basically only on that version.

-Charge $60 for an upscaled Vita game, and do a physical release for it even when they refused to do it for the original game.

-Stay completely silent about whatever bug is stopping some or all lines of voiced dialogue from playing in the Vita version, leaving some players partially or wholly with no dub in any language.

It can work the same way like a PS4 phantom, sorta. I've done it on PSTV with a friend's account. A phantom could work with just downloading and installing games then unplug or turn off wifi on a Vita/PSTV and either having the owner of the account change password or deactivating. Of course trophies and online wont work but should work fine for any single player based games. The only issues I see is the very small user base that wants this and most buy games on their mains, since switching accounts contently for one or two games would be too much of a hassle, and some people aren't that willing to share mains.

Just wanted to point out that if you're planning on getting the Fallout 4 Season Pass you should get it now. Price increases from $30 to $50 starting March 1

 
Did a check of all seven of my resells today after discovering that Dying Light was locked on my system... two of them have had the emails changed, so I'm guessing there's no way to get these back?

I messaged the user that I bought Dying Light from, he read the PM two days ago but never bothered to respond.

I think I might just stick to QDizzle's rentals from now on, and pick up the games on my main account when they hit the proper pricepoint.

Or... You know.... Don't rent your stuff out to just anyone and change your pass before passing onto a new person. That way you know who stole the share. If you lost two shares you're not being careful enough.

I don't rent them out.... I thought my comment regarding QDizzle's deal cleared that up. These are just resells that I use on my system, and always activated.

I believe PS4 only has 1 resell. If you got the resell you could have changed the password to whatever you wanted, to be safe.
