The PS4 will support a 4TB drive, but this guy actually has 2 2TB hard drives in it. You still need a hard drive with a 9.5mm height to fit physically inside the PS4 drive cage. I couldn't find anywhere that had a drive bigger than 2 TB that would actually fit in the PS4 without buying a third party adapter of some sort. I'm sure there will be some soon, since they've added the support in the update.
can't wait to buy my 300th hard drive this year

imagine if it was possible to have a hard drive that sat outside the console and held a shit ton of games and all it took was plugging it in to the usb port to use it and expand our overall storage massively

oh wait

Welcome to Xbox One!

I've never played any Lego games before, but I'm thinking about Harry Potter.

It's also funny that the one time I consider a weekly sale to be half decent, everyone else says it's terrible.
Marvel Super Heroes is probably best in series

Batman 3 is one of the worst, Jurassic Park is mediocre, and Avengers is a letdown.

Lego Harry Potter focuses more on puzzles than on combat, unlike most of the other Lego games.

Dang, this week's update is pretty slow. The update times each week seem to be scattered. Is this info only pulled from the PSN blog or are there sometimes leaks? Just curious as to how it works.
The update is finished by 5 PM ET, but they start it a bit earlier where things are in flux during that point.

There are a couple of >2TB 2.5" drives out there, though they're thicker than the 9,5mm the PS4 allows.

So I wait and wait for the Lego sale with great anticipation.

Do they put the Lego Avengers Season Pass on sale?

Noooooo. Why would they? Stupid Sony and/or Lego (whoever is responsible).

this sale reminds me that i should finish the lego hobbit and lego marvel super heroes that i bought over a year ago at these same prices.

So, LEGO Marvel Super Heroes on PS4 - is there any reason I cannot use the Share Play feature to effectively give this game online co-op?
Tried this out tonight, works great, as long as you both have PS+ you can effectively play online, and the other person doesn't even have to have the game. The 1-hour limit thing is weird though, I guess you can just reset it, but we only played for 50 minutes or so.

I said I was going to buy LEGO Marvel if it was <= $5, but now I am having my doubts. I have never played any of them before so someone convince me one way or the other.
If you haven't played any then I would recommend Lego Marvel. It's one of the better ones in the Lego library.

Once you've played a lot of them then I'd say they do get old but the better ones in the series are the Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Batman 1 and 2, and Marvel. Can't say anything about Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, the Hobbit, Lego Movie since I haven't played them yet. I didn't like Batman 3.

I watched my friend play this a couple years ago and found it to be a very fun game in its own right, and definitely one of the better Lego titles. Over 100 Marvel characters you can play as, with their own little powers, all free roam around a big city. For $5 it's a steal. I picked it up to play it by myself, but also something the wife and I could both play. Lord knows she gets tired of all my single-player games haha.

I'll recommend Lego Marvel too... fun gameplay and lots of silly Lego humor. My kids have played most of the Lego games and Lego Marvel is definitely their (and my) favorite. My only gripe is with the timed flying challenges if you're going for the platinum. Twitchy controls and shifting camera made them harder than they should have been.

Also, PS3/PS4 version is the one to get. The Vita version is a completely different game and similar to the 3DS.

If you've never played one then yeah go for it. I 100% completed like 6 of them and now I can't play them. They're all too similar and I'm done with that format.

They really need to just perma-drop the price on that Tinker City of Colors game. Not that I'm interested in the game itself - obviously no one is if they feel the need to constantly put it on "sale" more often than its normal price. Reminds me of all those obscure Tensei Megami games on the 3DS eShop that literaly has those games on sale every other week and for the same prices. Really silly business practice. Looks desperate and is ultimately annoying.

Why I hate Lego games: the coins/collectibles/whatever it is that enemies drop, don't attract to your character like they do in Ratchet and Clank. So it requires a ridiculous amount of running around picking them up instead of moving onto the next battle or point of interest.

Don't forget the auto targeting that prioritizes 1) friends, 2) destructible objects then 3) enemies.

I would buy it, but wait for $5.

And as for studs not being attracted... there's always a stud attract red brick (except in Dimensions).

Played two games of Risk of Rain last night. Need to remember how to play, cause I accidentally killed myself on world 4 or 5 (stupid blood sacrifice statues...) while in combat.

Sad to find out it doesn't have a platinum though.

To me, these are both minor annoyances. The big problem with playing is the falling to your death twenty times in a row trying to jump across some bottomless chasm.

The BIGGEST overall problem is that Lego games (and only Lego games) freeze and lock up mid level necessitating a hard reset of my console.

Yeah, that definitely sucks. It's sad that those games have had the same issues since they first came out 10+ years ago. Their biggest changes are "now using voice acting" and "split-screen" (sometimes with dynamic headache-inducing action).

Wait so all Lego games can freeze the PS4? I was thinking about Lego Marvel for $5, but I hate games that freeze consoles

Does Lego Marvel Superheroes have split screen on PS4? Im trying to find another game to play w my girl.
Yes, it's dynamic split screen, so if your characters are close together it's all one screen, but it splits if you get too far apart. It's a bit annoying sometimes but it works.

You can set it so it splits the screen to left/right half in the settings. It makes things less annoying a lot of times, but they screen doesn't morph back to a big screen when you're together.

I haven't had any PS4 freezing issues with Lego games, but they did happen with PS3.

Thanks alot. Split screen is better than pne big screen. Buying it now.

There seems to be a lot of positive response to LEGO Marvel so I will get it. You guys thinking flash sale this weekend? It would be a good time for a $1 one.

still re-downloading 500 gigs of stuff to my new hard drive

I forgot how awful the dl speeds are on wireless with ps3

any tips or tricks other than that dns nonsense (doesn't work) and plugging in an ethernet (can't do)?

I'd rather not pause and unpause every 5 minutes for the rest of my life

Pick up a set of these. I have some and they work great. It basically uses your power line as an Ethernet cord. The speeds are night and day compared to wi fi. Definitely worth checking out. There's also a version with two ports so you can hook up two different systems.
