Tried playing State of Decay twice in the past week or so...have to say I don't understand what Mooby sees in that game
You lack vision! I like the framework. Problems:

1) The base/campaign is far too easy. Terribly written, boring, and tedious.

2) To experience a challenge you have to get the Breakdown DLC and play it until you get to higher levels.

3) Even then a lot of the mechanics are very shallow and could stand to do with significant refinement.

My hope is that they add more depth in the sequel and not just make it prettier.

Speaking of giveaways, where the fuck are the 1070s and 1080s that are retail cost!? Even the non FE 1070s are $400+. So, in summation, WT actual F is going on here?
Patience is key. Every new generation released, stock always runs dry for the first few weeks. Prices are up because all these cards with custom coolers and fancy base boost clocks drive up the cost. By the time you buy one in the next month or two, there will be deals and a game offer with it. That's the best time to get it. :)

The game is shitty and you have to play it until you like it. Might take around 1500 hours though.
Fixed to what you actually said.

Strangely enough, the same can be said about tebow's mom. It's not good sex, you just have to hit it often enough until you give up hope of anything better.

Geez, I wonder what a game Mooby loves would look like...

This, though the prices arent really driven up, they are about what had been advertised. The overclocked versions are ~650-670, non overclocked are 600-650. Just dont look at the msi which for some reason is 20-50$ more than an FE.

Ive been waiting for my microcenter to have some in but benchmarkers and other wierdos have been buying them out, and then some return them, they actually had an openbox msi 1080 for a couple hours yesterday

The graphics with most stuff even on Medium at 1080p with 50-60FPS performance on my rig is awesome.
ya know, you were heaping praise on your 960 4gb multiple times saying you can hit ~60 fps on high to ultra settings for most games. now you're settling for medium? for shame mysterd, for shame...

DOOM (2016) certainly isn't most games.

DOOM (2016) isn't on the best optimized engine, which pretty much is Id Tech for you since Id Tech 4:

https://www.reddit.com/r/Doom/comments/4jlfo2/something_weird_is_going_on_with_dooms/

Also, most games ain't eating up 2500-2600 GB of VRAM consistently on Medium, either. Thank God for having 4GB of VRAM here. This kind of VRAM eating, I usually see on High or UItra for most games here.

I'm going to mess with this and see how far I can push this game now.

Strange, so far I read and seen Doom performances and I thought this the best version of their engine. Way better than id Tech 5 that ran RAGE and The Evil Within.

I even played the Doom demo myself and it ran perfectly 60fps at all times. Not even microstutter or frameskipping. I'm surprised to see people performance is all over the place especially not getting desired results even for the 900s series. One user from reddit mentioned getting ~40fps on Ultra with 980 Ti. I have the same card and ran @ 60 All MAXED. :whistle2:k

I actually turned 1 thing off is Chromatic Aberration. No one should use that shit.

Pushing Doom 2016 Demo now.

So, now running at High settings now at 1080p around 50-60 FPS, which is fine on my PC (i7 950; 16 GB RAM; 4GB GF GTX 960). I turned off VSync, so it's performing much-much better at better settings. With VSync On, it was doing around 35-50 frames on High here - meh.

VSync's always a waste of a lot of frames, only as long as the game isn't tearing, stuttering, or doing any sort of weird graphical problems happen. And it's thankfully doing none of that nonsense.

Gonna try to push this more.

Next up: trying Ultra.

EDIT:

Ultra's eating around 3300-3400 MB VRAM here at 1080p w/ VSync Off. Performance is around 30-50 frames - bleh! All over the place. Going to have to go custom from here to try to stop wild jumping + diving of framerates here or lock this down somewhere else with MSI Afterburner (i.e. maybe 40 frames).

EDIT 2:

Locked it down at 45 frames with MSI Afterburner. Much better.

I think I got the $1 tier actually. Now I wish I would have gotten the 3rd lol.
u can try $1 tier game to see if you like it. The mechanic is similar across the game franchise with different periods, basically

if you like the gameplay, you can consider the next Humble Re-Bundle from Sega

Sounds like a new tremor video category in the making!
You da type'a gamer get a card from a Goodwill

I'm da type'a gamer eat some 1080s for a meal

Glitch I eat VRAM on a Fursday (Glitch I eat VRAM on a Fursdayyyy)

Happy Father's Day to all present and/or future fathers.

edited to include;

Hey Steam!  Where is the Father's Day sale of xyz game we want for $5? (mine would be Borderlands TLP w/SP)

I liked Remember Me + Life is Strange, despite their flaws and issues - i.e. Remember Me takes a bit before both its story + gameplay gets going somewhere; and Life is Strange totally fell apart with its story, characters & ending in the last 1/3rd of Episode 5.

Vampyr was actually one of my stand-out picks from E3 2016, thanks to the gameplay video IGN had with it, so I'm really hoping it turns out great - since I'm still waiting for that DontNod game to fully embrace.

In bro news, KF2 was interesting last night. We tried the survival PvP mode. It was interesting. YCag declared it a bootleg counterstrike mod with zombie skins and left after an hour. Parallacks was similarly uninspired and left after a round. The rest of us ran through two hours. Fun factor depends on your level and team. The way it works is each team gets a turn as humans and then zeds. At the end of the round, the team that did best wins. The scoring system is broken right now. If the other team is high level, it sucks being a Zed. The auto balance sucks too. But it can be fun, especially in smaller stages as it gives the zeds a better chance.

In FIFA news, Mexico was utterly embarrassed last night so I have lost all interest in that stupid excuse for a sport that dirty Europeans watch because they aren't man enough to play real football.

I really enjoy the regular horde mode gameplay of Killing Floor, but the PvP stuff felt like the combat in every other terrible multiplayer early access survival game. Incomprehensible hit/collision detection with the zed melee attacks left me blindly swinging and hoping i'd see a chunk of the garish health bars above the humans disappear, which meant I spent zero time looking at any of the neat character customization stuff and instead focusing in on floating red, white, and blue icons.

Well, finally done idling the 30 or so games I had for cards. I have some badges ready to be crafted now...should I just craft them now or wait for the sale to actually start? It shouldn't matter, right?

I'm getting Digital Homicide on the featured slots now. Jim Sterling must be having an aneurysm.

It's not a "recommended for you" either because I have that unchecked. I guess it's either a "popular new release" or a "best seller".

It was showing up as a popular new release for me yesterday. It's sad when that shit is "popular"

honestly its people like cags that make it popular..."oh this game has overwhelmingly negative reviews, but its 14 cents...easy +1"

also somehow there are 130 people playing temper tantrum right now

Yeah, that's definitely a fair assessment. The regular survival is the game's strong point. And the hit detection is horrible. You just flail about hoping to connect and most of the zeds are worthless.

They just shat out a bunch of free keys for Temper Tantrum so that's people idling for cards.

And yeah, it is our fault, and to some extent the bundle sites greed for pushing us in this direction, like I said in the Poopees thread yesterday.

no save your crafting for the sale in case they drop sale cards for each crafted badge

You guys are going to make MysterD break his 960 with your card shaming.
getting between 130-170 on my 1070 with only 34% vram usage reported by hardware monitor.
