Picked up these games on sale

Ray Gigant (vita)

Paranautical Activity (vita)

and bought

Adventures of Mana (vita)

Now its time for more memory card management my least favorite vita activity.

Got Ray, Megatag and Hotshots from the sale. Good thing Ar Nosurge is the same price as last time or I would be really pissed for buying it last time...

Should be getting Lego SW in the mail when I get home today too.

Today is a good day.

Went to pickup my preorders of star wars and Grand Kingdom at best buy today (ordered both for in store pickup).

Received notification that both were ready for pickup, but when I got there they only had Grand Kingdom and the free toy from star wars.

They said not a single store in the area got a vita version of the game.

They said it might come in later the week. Who knows when or if it would come, so instead I switched it out for a 3ds version of the game.

Since the 10$ rewards certificate preorder reward would not transfer they simply cancelled the preorder and took 10 off the 3ds game.

Don't know if they sold out of the vita game, didn't get stock, if it is just a local issue, or what.

Happened at my store too. No Vita copies shipped as I was told it was a online item. The manager cancelled my order and ordered me another copy to be delivered at home. He told me for the problem he'll just take the $10 off and make the game be $10 for me but surprised he took 20% the $10 so only $7.99. Sucks the Vita version didn't get shipped to stores when they sent pick up emails.

Same thing happen to me. went to store and all they had was the toy. i was like wtf. so manager order one for shipping and gave me 10.00 of my other items i was buying that day. I got home and called bestbuy because it took over 2 hours 1 hr trip time and 1hr in store. they sending me a bestbuy gift card in mail for time wasted and pickup mested up. not sure how much tho but ill take it

I will see if my copy is available for pick-up tomorrow afternoon when I go to work, no point in showing up on my day off and risking them asking me to work. ;)

To those of you who have bought Adventures of Mana can you tell me if the game still uses touch controls for all input or can you use the X button and directional buttons for action and movement? Thanks

you can use buttons for everything

Hoping Best Buy actually comes through on that $10 for Star Wars. With how bad they are at keeping vita stock I would like to buy ZTD before its out of stock after like 2 weeks

Has anyone received the ZTD watch preorder bonus through gamestop?
You won't be getting this for awhile. Rumors were 2+ months.

Could be worst though, could be not getting the game either. Amazon has decided to not ship me a game at all. But at this point my backlog is big enough to wait so I got my 20% and $10 courtesy credit.

I have no problems waiting however long it takes, as long as I get the watch.

Those impatient CAGs need to breathe and start working on their backlog.

I don't see $10 from AMZ though, does it magically appear in your gift card balance history as "Gift card claim"?

Nope. Try buying something shipped and sold by Amazon and look for a "Courtesy Credit" line at the final checkout screen.

The $10 credit will say Courtesy Credit then the amount. It's different than your gift card balance. Just add a game to your cart and it should show up at check out.

Damn got Vig'd.

Thanks guys, bought some baby supplies and saw the courtesy credit.

I must admit I am geniunely surprised AMZ gave some compensation given their recent track record (Batmobile cancel, Homefront cancel etc.).

I get where you're coming from. I don't think it's okay to miss a deadline based purely on a shipping mishap, but I have no intention of raking the developer over the coals either. While the current situation is unfortunate, it also isn't the end of the world. As it happens, I'm actually quite busy playing through Persona 4 Golden. So I'm actually quite occupied for the moment. (already taking your advice) But I am still a little antsy for the latest game in the Zero Escape series to arrive.

I bought the blue version of this case when it was on clearence. It works very well and I feel it keeps the vita snug and secure. My only complaint, and this may be user error, is that sometimes the fit is so snug the power button is accidentaly pressed. Otherwise, I highly recommend it

Hmm, I'm not seeing any courtesy credit on my account. Those who have it, did you preorder the standard edition, or the watch edition?  Cuz I preordered the watch edition, and it NEVER showed a ship date.  Which I'm guessing is why I'm not seeing the credit?

That can't be the reason because my order is in the same situation--Watch Edition preordered, no ship date ever shown--and I have the $10 credit. Did you navigate to the final checkout screen when buying something sold and shipped by Amazon?

Thanks, tried something else and it was there!

BTW just saying it's official at least in my area Best Buy has gotten rid of the Vita section. They are now a used video game section and more of a PS4 section. If you want Vita games from Best Buy it's online only from what I see.....at least in my future.

Picked up Borderlands 2 today from Walmart for 9.98. Had a cardboard box with about 15 vita games in marked as clearance. Some of the games were Wolf Among Us, Dungeon Hunter and Rayman.

Its been like this for awhile now at my local store, I like to take photos and posting it on BB twitter page. They tend to respond real fast asking where I took the pic lol.

ZTD has been OOS at best buy for a couple days already. :(
I want this game, but I never played the previous two and am pretty sure that it's strongly recommend. I am thinking about picking up Last Reward and this and skipping the first game for now. Probably not the best move considering it's a trilogy, but I'd imagine the first game isn't an absolute must considering it was never released on PSP or Vita and to my knowledge just came out for DS.

It's been rumored recently that a Vita version of 999 is incoming, but when and where is anyone's guess. If not for this watch fiasco, they may have announced it already.

That'd be awesome, especially if they do a physical copy. My local Gamestop had a copy of Last Reward, so I think I will pick it up this weekend and go ahead and order a copy of Zero Time Dilemma from Amazon why I can still get 20% off with Prime, I do want to wait to see if it becomes in stock on Best Buy again though so I can use some reward zone credit. I also need to order Grand Kingdom......

I finished 999 on the DS ages ago, but I missed a few endings, and I have last reward for the Vita, and I'm going that route for ZTD as well, so I would for sure get 999 if it's released on the Vita. They also rumored a reissue of the 999 watch as well, so hopefully it happens sooner, rather than later. But who knows what may happen until it's officially announced?

There is a pretty big tie in during VLR to 999 (a few actually, one particularly crucial to the plot). I mean, they do a pretty good job explaining, but I'd imagine it's better that you come in with that backstory. I (of course) dont know how much of that plays into ZTD, but it was heavily hinted in VLR that all the previous work was going to come into play.

I liked both of the first games so I dont see any reason why you'd want to skip them just to be in on the ZTD zeitgeist. If anything, it'd just be cheaper when you get around to it.

BTW: There is an iOS version of 999 that is basically jut the story without the escape room puzzles. I have no first hand knowledge of how that plays out, but that might be an option for you (I think there is no backtracking either).

I think people just like to play games while they're new and if they're playing something old, like if you even mention it you will be shamed since it's old news. I'm slightly guilty here too, with me starting Star Ocean V, though I am a bit of  fanboy of this series....so I will play it.

I don't ever think it's a good idea to just jump in the series esp if it's a direct sequel, such as jumping into Uncharted 4 without playing 1 to 3. I would agree with the sentiment to play 999 then VLR then ZTD. You will better understand everything and also see the evolution of the series.

This usually only applies to games like this. I wouldn't imagine you not being able to enjoy Criminal Girls 2, just cause you haven't played 1, though I quite liked 1.

It's similar to board games, where there is a cult of the new, where people want to play the the shiniest and brightest, and in turn you may forget about your old favorites, and instead possibly play OK or maybe even good games, but they just don't stick with you. Enough of my rant though, but I do feel you will be missing a lot by starting with ZTD without playing both 999 and VLR.

Huh? A shipping mishap is one of the few legitimate reasons to miss a deadline. They can't magically control what the packages go through during shipment, nor would it be acceptable to ship you a broken watch.

Amazon, on the other hand, screwed up by not giving release-date delivery of the game. Heck, I still don't have a shipping confirmation.

So I played both 999 and VLR. I liked 999 a lot more and get the thematic similarities but I don't understand how ZTD is related other than sharing the same "theme". I just don't remember a huge connection between the other two. I am an idiot though so that may explain it.

Did you finish all the endings and the true ending also just asking??

Spoiler for true ending of Zero Escape: VLR, if you didn't play through all the endings then you aren't going to understand how it fits in with ZTD.

In VLR it is revealed that two of the characters have a workaround to travel through time. They do this by swapping their minds in one time period with their minds in a different time period. The purpose of VLR is to keep his younger personality from the past occupied in his future, older body (and to replicate the events his future self experienced in the past present to preserve the timeline) so that the older character's mind can time travel back to the game that happens in ZTD, between the events of 999 and VLR. That nonary game is somehow tied to the virus which wipes out wides swathes of the population prior to VLR.
At least that's how I remember it.

You should have picked up VLR when it was on sale last week then. It's really recommended to play them in order as you won't understand a few of the character's motivations if you don't know what happened in 999. I'd say emulate 999 if you can. But if you really don't have a choice, then I guess you could start with VLR. I would say 999 had the better story and twists though.

*cough* returning characters *cough*

And I don't mean Clover

At the store I work at they recently cleared the Vita section and now it's just an empty section with Vita signage, but no product.

I should give this a try.

Japan of course, if it happens at all.

In this case there are only, and I seriously mean only, two possibilities as to what was wrong with the watches.

1. Manufacturing defect.

2. The cargo container they were in got dropped in the Pacific. Salt water and electronics don't mix well. And this sort of thing does happen more often than you will ever hear admitted to.

What's more irritating to all here. Bandai-Namco releasing God Eater: Resurrection digital only for the Vita in Region 1, or the fact they actually bothered to make box art for said digital-only release?

Must have just recycled the Japanese boxart (?). The most irritating of all to me is that it's dub only. And just when fans got used to the anime Japanese voices.

I took a look at my ZTD Watch Editions order from Amazon, and they're asking me to approve a delay in the order. Since the watches have an issue and everyone is having to wait for it, I should just accept the delay, right?
