I dunno why someone who seemingly knows so much about computer hardware would buy Alienware stuff. Just build your own for probably 70% of the cost.
It was a gift that I'm very grateful to have.
Which I'm sure most people here would agree that Alienware is total crap on pricing.

The machine itself isn't bad as people make it out to be.

On an anothere topic, I had order the parts I needed after mircrocenter didn't have it.

The dual 6 to 8 pin won't come before next week from Amazon with the prime 2 day shipping

Time to pop back in my old 960 till then.

So I'm in a bit of a pickle, where I keep thinking about buying HF:R. I mean, I had fun playing it and I would actually play it right away (I keep thinking about the game after the free weekend was over), and I even have a couple of friends to play the co-op stuff with but I still can't get myself to pull the trigger at $20+, since this game is more than likely to reduce in price sooner rather than later. It doesn't help that I'm in that semi-depressed, "let's spend money because REASONS" state, and it looks like the complete bundle is $25 on the canadian store.

Someone stop me before I kill again buy games at 40% off.

Why u no wen 10 dorra?

Pretty disappointed with the map in The Crew.

Looks like all of america

Drove from Detroit to Boston, saw nothing, and there's barely even a Massachusetts

Nitpicking about 1 very specific city, the map does seem pretty small. possibly the same size as Test Drive Unlimited 2, which is much older and made by a smaller studio

So, is Mirror's Edge: Catalyst worth $20?

Personally, I loved the original. So, for those who played it - did it going open-world screw up the game? Or help it quite a bit?

Any other thoughts on Catalyst?

Also - is there a Season Pass or DLC planned for it?
75% or no sale, MysterD

I'd try to help but I'm in the same predicament and it's not good for two addicts to try to help each other.

I legitimately could not figure out any way to add Stuff Packs for The Sims 4 (don't judge me) to my cart via their new client UI.
There's a new expansion coming out in October! :whee:

(Actually, I'm not that excited... Its City Life, or something like that, so you can have your sims living in Apartments and whatnot... Not the expansion I'm really wanting.)

PS Screw using the new looking client... Webpage, VPN Mexico, and Origin50 code is where its at.

Yeah, I've been breaking that rule quite a bit, of late. Let's face it - sales like that ain't what they used to be.

Games I've broken it with of late - FO4 ($30); FO4 Season Pass (around $24); GTA5 ($20); and WWE 2K16 ($15); and Doom 2016 ($20 + tax).

I still got until Sept 22nd (when ORIGIN50 dies) to decide on ME: Catalyst.

Already got tons in the grand old backlog - The Wolf Among Us, Grim Dawn, Witcher 3, Wasteland 2, Shadowrun: Hong Kong, The Crew, Dreamfall Chapters...and that's just for starters.

Still got some games to finish up, too - such as GTA5.

Still got some games I just keep playing on and off, on a regular basis - such as WWE 2K16. Always seem to cram in an hour or 2 at least, here and there - especially when in-between games or need a break from a certain long-winded game.

I actually liked HF:TR, also. Though, I don't think I'd drop $20 or more to finish the game up.

$10 or less, I'd certainly jump on it.

$15 - eh, maybe; I dunno.

Do you have Far Cry 3 or Far Cry 4 in the backlog unfinished?

Far Cry 3 is pretty good open-world FPS, if that's what you're looking for. FC4 ain't too much different in gameplay, just mostly in setting, TBH - more of the same open-world FPS goodness.

Hell, I might just go play some Far Cry 4, which I never finished - since I still kind of have an itch to take on a open-world FPS, especially after that last weekend of HF:TR. HF:TR really did scratch that open-world FPS itch, for sure - kind of a shame I didn't finish HF:TR game in time (before Free Weekend ended) or that the game isn't having a "cheap-enough to suit me" sale right about now.

Okay, looking back at this thread it looks like Foxy, smackattack, and tomasety wanted into the beta...  Pretty sure Foxy got an invite.

Anyone else want in? (assuming I'm right about him already having an invite.)

PS Check your PMs here on the forum if your listed above.

Uh. Hope you got value out of this one.
Easily.

If you didn't know, I'm a big wrestling fan - WWE, TNA, ROH; I watch all those.

Anyways, I have 32 hours with w/ WWE2K16, so far.

I also should note, I have 157 hours also with WWE 2K15.

And WWE 2K17, looking forward to that, too. With an even more so expanded women's roster (WWE 2K series really needs THIS), backstage segments, new OMG moves, attack a wrestler even after a match is OVER - yup, I'm going to buy it again, when it gets cheap enough to suit me.

They keep bringing them here to the PC, I'll probably buy it every year at $15 or less....

They need an option to attack a wrestler before a match or i'm not interested

Sounds like American Truck Simulator is what you are looking for.

I would wait. Third party sellers on Amazon have been selling physical PC copies of ME:Catalyst for 20$ for at least a more then a month. It's only going to go lower.

I got momentarily interested when Gamersgate sent me an email about "Deep Silver Weekend" thinking maybe people would get an acceptable deal on Homefront.

No, it's just on Dead Island games.  Which are 15% off.  Except for that stupid "Escape Dead Island" game which is 80% off and lets them say "Up to 80% off!"

So you're saying that Bioware Points are coming back with a vengeance.
I suspect they'll add another currency to the mix because you can never have too many currency types in your game!

I hate too judge one person based upon the work of another so take this story with a grain of salt...

There was once a game called Tom Clancy's The Division and right after the game went gold the Head Developer moved on, as game developers often do, and was replaced by a person from Ubisoft's mobile division. As time went on this game became more and more grindy and full of time sinks (not in a loot RNG way, which is expected (at least by most) in a loot driven game) till the point where there is now 5 in game currencies. (Credits, DZ credits, Phoenix, Intel, the fucking Underground Intel, etc.) And that's being favorable to the game as it doesn't count crafting materials, which includes then "newly" introduced Weapon Kit.

Just ugh... Its not a free to play game where you do have to design it to get people into your cash shop (or the game fails) so while I'll give Marvel Heroes a pass on far too many currency types (and I think MH has about 8 right now) in a game I've already bought and paid for (which has no cash shop to begin with) its fucking unacceptable to dick your players around on how much time they can/do sink into the game.

Anyhow, I just think anyone from mobile looks at games in a certain light and its really hard for them to break that mentality... and EA/Bioware has already added Microtransactions to their games already (ME3 you could buy card packs in the hopes of getting gear quicker/faster) so... Yeah, not a good sign in my opinion.

Just managed to get 1600 BioWare points at 50% off using ORIGIN50.

Bought through client, in UK (so no VPN trickey), and I'm not an EA Access subscriber.

Plot thickens.

Stop trying to make The Division happen.

Tried again, both web & client. No dice. That's what I get for paying the EA tax, although I did save a bonus 10% off those stupid TS4 stuff packs I bought yesterday.

Of course, I have nothing to spend Bioware points on other than stupid multiplayer unlock crates which are an order of magnitude worse than GMG mystery packs...but I strangely feel obligated to stock up on Bioware points just in case ME4 happens to have shitty DLC practices.

What's the deal with ME4? Is it gonna be another Mass Effect RPG or a completely different genre?

I've had my head in the sand a little bit.

Fun story, Hamble has a Deep Silver sale too and when you click through the only two things not on sale on the page? Homefront R and Homefront R Freedom Pack or whatever.

I did enjoy Euro Truck Simulator, so not a bad suggestion. I'll wishlist it
Good news is they're changing the map scale on ATS to be similar to the scale in ETS, which is great since ATS could feel pretty small at times. Downside, unless some decent mods come out/are out, it's going to be a looong time before they get to the east coast. As it stands in like a year we've gotten one DLC (Arizona) and looks like they are planning to do New Mexico and Oregon next iirc.
