Yea. $25 per game on 5 games with 1 copy picked up of Naruto. I had zero time dilemma which is on the list but didnt get it however the manager just adjusted it to $25.00.

Got a $3 refurb fee on the Goof Off copy of THPS5 I put on it and the regular $25 on the other so $46 for the two. Will return Dark Souls 3 some other time. Thanks for the heads up on that too (whoever you were).

I'm in CA so I get the 50% TIV boost automatically. One thing I noticed was that the system did not properly recognize the guaranteed $25 promo towards DS 3 when the POS was already triggering the 50% promo. Had to do two separate trades to get the best trade values.

I had an issue yesterday in CA as well. I traded in a couple of games and an XBOX ONE controller. I wanted to put them towards a new Gears of War controller with the promo they have going on right now where you get $10 extra credit towards a Gears controller when you trade either an XBOX ONE or Dualshock 4 wireless controller. The employee that helped me knew nothing about the promo so I had to pull it up on my phone and show him. After that he got the manager to try and help out but at the end neither one of them could get it to work. I thought the manager was going to override it and give it to me but he basically said if the system doesn't give it to you we can't do anything about it. My trades added up to $75 and would have been $85 after the promo so it would have been perfect since the controller would have been about $82 after taxes. I was upset at the end of it all so I didn't pick up. I sent an email to customer service this morning complaining about the situation. I don't expect them to give me anything out of it but maybe it will at least get them to fix it since the promo is listed on the 1st page of this weeks ad and it's supposed to continue until 10/23.

Can someone explain the EA Pro Gaming Pass?  I am a PUR Pro member and basically just want to get the $20 off Titanfall 2.  I can't tell if the website is saying I need the Gaming Pass for this or not, but i'm assuming so.  The wording is vague.

Assuming the pass is needed, it looks like you just have to purchase another EA game prior to purchasing this game to qualify?  Does anyone know if the Xbox One Battlefield console bundle would qualify for the gaming pass?

Had my chick take in 10 games. Got Naruto, a gift receipt, and $230 credit on a card. Between this and the 50% I did last week I'm all set for a PSPro.

And which policy did I circumvent?

I was honest about what I was doing and the cashier accepted it.

The person who traded in the second copy used their own separate ID and power up rewards. What's the problem?
Only trading in one copy of a game on a platform.

You need the coupon , it shows up in your active offers. I got mine from madden and it currently only lists Fifa as an eligible title. I assume Battlefield would count but not sure about the console. I could of swore the Titanfall coupon was listed as 10$ off in my active offers, they must of changed it to 20$.
It will be nice if it stacks with the Gears 20$ off coupon.

You must have scored high on reading comprehension. You're not helpful and you're just picking at posts.

Anyway took in another 6 games. It's nice to get credit same as cash. used it to buy battlefield 1 on PC.

I didn't pay the extra $20 to play it on tuesday. I think that's really dumb and I don't want to support it.

Yes, I did score very high on reading comprehension. And math for that matter.

Policy at GS is that you can't trade in two copies of the same title on the same platform at the same time.

If you want to draw extra attention to yourself, enjoy your ban.

I got hit with a refurb fee at the two stores I went to for the redbox games. They told me it was a new policy that just started for games with no cases. They took a pic of the trades with a small camera that sat on their monitor which is new to me. This was in FL.

Congrats, you got screwed. The policy is the exact opposite.

Although the picture thing is just weird Florida only bullshit.

Not only in FL. They take pictures in my city too. It has to do with local pawn laws getting stricter. At gamestop they can take a picture of your whole stack of trades. At Best buy they have to take a picture of every single game, its a huge PIA.

Not that it matters much at this point, just to confirm what a CAG said earlier, for the guaranteed $25 thing. Zero time dilemma didn't update automatically, they had to update the price manually for me.

I would not be surprised if they get strict with red box games. Too many people out there stealing those games. Not having cases for those games should generate some suspicion.

They probably will but there is a reason certain stores take your information for trades in case they are stolen. I traded in some RedBox games today and the employees there, that are good friends of mine, were a bit suspicious about me trading them in. Had to explain you can indeed buy RedBox games.

If they do implement a policy for these games, I hope its only that they needed to have the RedBox case to be allowed. As long as it isn't a refurb for having stickers on it, I'll be good.

Has anyone traded in an old ps4 for $150 yet? I bought a refurb ps4 from cowboom (RIP) and it turns out one of the usb ports does not work, which is probably why it was returned and sold as refurb. It is kind of annoying when I want to charge controllers and such; also the wifi is terrible and the new system has a better wifi chip so I was thinking of upgrading to a slim or possibly pro.

I want to get the full $150 trade credit for my system and was wondering what the requirements are? I have the system, charge cable, controller, and power cable. I was wondering if a hdmi cable would be required cause my refurb system never came with one. Thanks in advance.

They shouldn'5 care if there's a few scratches on top of the disc right? I always leave a few scratches when I remove em. Idk how y'all remove em perfectly

I was denied at GameStop because of scratches on top of the disc. The employee said the laser would shoot through and make the game unplayable. I didn't argue with the guy because he is a GameStop lifer. Thoughts from the community?

They should deny them. Scratching the top of a Blu-ray kills it.

They acted correctly. Scratches on Blu-ray art = death for the disc.

The stickers are very strong. I wish I could easily take them off without damaging the disc or ripping the disc art off.

If you guys have an easy way of taking them off we're all ears.
Hair dryer.

Thanks, Darby. Bummer but a loss of $6 is small potatoes compared to everything I have received from capitalizing on promos. On to the next deal.

I know when I traded in my XBOX ONE a year ago all that is required is that you bring in the cables, 1 controller..and of course the console..they will test it out in store, at my local gamestop they plugged it in and put in a game disc to make sure that it worked and was able to install a game, once that was done you get the full credit..I am going to wait with mine hope that the price increases(A few days ago it was 120) when I traded in my XBOX ONE it was at 200, the next day it went up to 220 so I felt stupid like I lost 20 bucks for just not waiting an extra day

The FAQ's section on the 1st page of this thread lists all of the states that do and don't charge tax.

I've never come across this but I'm sure someone here knows, will Gamestop take games that have writing on them? I bought a stack of games  cheap off my dad's neighbor that apparently belonged to a younger kid and about half of them have a name written on them in permanent marker. A refurb fee is no big deal but I didn't see anything on the trade conditions that mentioned this scenario.

Should be fine, not even a refurb fee. If they try to hit you with a refurb fee just go to a different store.

Yeah this is a first for me since I was in college and the one weirdo in the dorm thought people were going to jack his games so he wrote all over them.

That's what I was thinking, I'll give it a go tomorrow.

It does. It's in their marketing about how you can get a game, "free," if you combine the 2 coupons & trade a $30 guaranteed game.
