From someone who mainly plays on PC,you will see the point in the next two years when the PS4 processing power won't be able to cope with the new games.

​IMHO the only thing they screwed with the Pro was not adding a 4K BluRay drive and handling better the extra power.

There is literally no reason for them to force the games to run with higher framerate. All the talk about optimization is BS since the brute force is still there,not to mention both consoles graphics card have basically the same architecture.

...The fuck is that?! Are we still grateful to Sony for giving us "variety" in the free games? 6 more months until my + expires, really not thinking I'll renew this time. Been subscribed since late 2011, I've never seen the freebies so piss-poor

one of these months they're gonna give us last guardian and mass effect andromeda and dead rising 4 all at the same time and everyone gonna be so happy and never cry about how shit ps plus is again and then you'll wake up from that dream and you'll turn on your ps4 and you'll still be subscribed to plus and they'll be giving you rat trap or whatever that shitty steam game is that everyone and their mother owns and it won't even be updated to be in high def and you'll take that shit and you'll like it because sony owns you

Yeah I really wish they would just give us the AAA games everyone has already played that are $10 now I just want ACIV so bad.

Just renewed my PS+ subscription. Other than having a backup for my saves in the cloud, I only keep it to play online.

Online online online. Everything's funner online.

Outside is fine, but I'd rather be online...

(I haven't slept in 36 hours)

 
Im offline with my ps4 since 2+ weeks and enjoying the watch dogs 2 phantom from qdizzle.

I still have a ps3 with FREE ONLINE and black ops 2 etc.

I laugh at people praising PS+ and Invisible Inc. Its a horrible rushed PC port with tiny fonts on PS4, very happy PSN Livechat gave me a refund after 4 attempts :D.

People have more games than they can play nowadays. I dont think this brings happiness. fuck these ps+ games better rent a game from qdizz once in a while and se if you like it. (@Qdizzle pls send my my commision check in the eMaile)

Tho I am still wondering about Overwatch and how so MANY people absolutely love it. Is it really that fun? Even when you rather play as a "lone wolf"?

I mainly play PS4 and I dont see the point in a PS4 Pro with 10% graphic upgrades if at all, sometimes running ps4 games worse plus 96% of games not even getting pro patches. Plus many games running at INSANE ps4 pro fan/loudness levels. Your point?

EDIT: And honestly its the dumbest post Ive ever seen on the internet. Why would anyone care about "what sony gives you"? if they want people to subscribe to PS+ they need to offer a better service Ive seen it in my PSN friends list from 80% ps+ subsribers to now around 30%. Sony is clearly losing it completely, also game sales are WAY down despite so many PS4 owners. At this point Sonys Strategy with the DUMB, low quality ps4 pro and ps+ price increase is only givng power to xbox.

Anyways, EU PSN got a new sale, where you get one game free if you buy a more expensive one. Not sure if there is some conestallations where its worth it tho...

Once PS4 came out all PS3 games instantly became garbage though. 

Sometimes I want to go back and replay a few SNES games from my childhood but there have been 3 Nintendo consoles since then so those games are like triple garbage.

Some old games as Metroid 2d, Super Marios, Fire Emblem, Advance Wars.... some more.. Are still better than many of thats released today. And they are better than all of PS+ Games.

My point is that you're trying to convince people who see a benefit that there is no benefit which is just a waste of time. Sony still has a larger market share and plenty of ppl subscribe to ps+ for multiplayer alone. Don't like it then switch over to Microsoft who charge the same rate for the same quality free titles. Your experience doesn't reflect that of others, only yourself. I find the pro to be much faster with loading and with a nice 4K tv it does look better. It's not for people who can't afford to upgrade, it's for those that can.

Stop this bs generalizing. I didn't say old games are bad. I've been gaming for two decades and have enjoyed entire libraries of every mainstream system since the NES. I said people who haven't upgraded to a PS4 yet are missing out.

So I've been thinking about picking up another PS4 (a Pro for the 4k, move the old PS4 to the 1080p TV in the bedroom) and was thinking about creating a backup drive of my old PS4 drive for the new PS4 so that I wouldn't have to go to the process of re-downloadng 2TB worth of games (my 2TB drive is full (!?!?) but that's a topic for a different day).

I'm pretty sure this would work as I did about a year or so ago (before the phantom-killer FW update), but I wonder if I could have a separate drive just full of phantoms that I could plug into my PS4 (after unplugging it from the internet).

Would this work or would the PS4 try to force a credentials check when I change drives even though there's no internet connection? If I had access to phantoms of multiple main accounts, how would I go about downloading them before I get locked out?

I really enjoy the game and I play solo almost every night, it's fas and fun and I love that matches are 2-10 minutes so you can play many matches one night :]

I don't see the value in upgrading to Pro over my slim and BO3 consoles. If I didn't have a PS4, I would probably buy the Pro version. Although, my nephew brought his Pro over and it wasn't very impressive. I have a Samsung 9000 series TV. Playing D2, T2, & U4 wasn't a phenomenal upgrade. My TV makes much more of a difference than the Pro. Is there a noticeable difference? Sometimes. Maybe it's marketed toward people that can "afford" to upgrade or maybe it's being marketed toward lemmings that feel the need to have the very latest tech to overcome feelings of being left behind. Just because one can afford to upgrade doesn't mean one will. Similarly, there are people that shouldn't be purchasing a $400 console that will. If a consumer doesn't find value in a product, they won't purchase it. I understand that you are passionate about the Pro and you most definitely find value in your purchase. However, I don't agree with your positioning about affordability. After all, most people purchased their vanilla PS4 consoles for $400.

 
Most places let you trade in an original PS4 towards a pro for ~150. It also definitely enhances psvr quality in most games which is a big selling point for me. Do you have hdmi uhd color set up for your samsung? Difference wasn't noticeable until I enabled that.. You also can't be connected through the vr box or it won't display well. Idk. To me it is night and day in some games. Obviously not all. Infinite warfare was for sure much prettier. I wouldn't call myself passionate about the pro. Just saying if you have the right setup it is a noticeable difference in the newer games that support it. Upgrading is not for everyone, nor did I say it was. it's a luxury item for existing PS4 owners.

HDR+ was turned off and HDMI UHD Color was active. U4 was by far the biggest difference to me. However, during gameplay I didn't really notice. I'm going to just wait for the NEO. My nephew loves it though.
