A wishlist?  Do you want to give MS exact metrics on what not to put on sale?

If you participated in the Gears 4 Cupid Torque Bow and/or Feral Horde events, the skin rewards started going out today.  I got everything and then some.  For some reason, I got 3 Tiger Drone skins (complete 50 waves), 2 Cheetah (100 waves) and 1 Snow Leopard (200 waves) plus the Torque Bow.  Others have reported getting duplicate skins, and not getting the correct ones.  The Coalition has set up a topic for people to report not receiving skins they earned.

This is interesting.  I turn on my console and in my Ready to Install is Halo Wars:  Definitive Edition (9.46GB).  I own Halo Wars 2 digitally, and on 2/24 Xbox Live messaged me a code for HW:DE that hasn't been redeemed yet.  Did I just win a really low-stakes lottery?

Also, in case anyone cares, Army of Two is 5.94GB in size.

Same, I wanted to start taking something off the backlog but instead played Destiny till late. I got the game after TTK but apparently played the demo between the second DLC and TTK, so I also got an additional emblem, nice.

 
For those trying to do the Xbox Rewards spend $60 promo, I'm thinking you have to spend about $65 total since it specifies $60 before tax.

I spent $60.50 and it only has me credited at $56 spent. I also think they might cut it off on March 30 since it says 2 days left and there's 3 days left in March.

I'm speculating all of this, but better to be cautious.

I bought the Call of Duty trilogy pack. I already own all DLC for all three games, was hoping to convert the three games from disc to digital at some point so this seems like a good deal.

However, just a heads up for those like me getting this with hopes of BC in the future; I really don't like how the download process is handled. Purchasing the trilogy gives you a 50mb launcher, which you load up and you install all three games from within the launcher. Similar to inserting a GotY DLC disc and installing the content. I can see that being a problem with BC in the future, as the marketplace shows I still don't own the games even after downloading all three, just the launcher. Is the Fable collection handled the same way? And can anyone vouch that Fable 2 and 3 from that collection work for BC?

I own that Fable trilogy deal with the little launcher. Fable 2 and Fable 3 both show up BC for me. I would assume they could do the same for the MW trilogy. But not optimistic that those games would be going BC.

It's the same way with Season Passes: the small download basically enables the additional downloads from within your game's menu, and they have a completely different entry in the Marketplace, but they usually work fine. They just have to link the same BC executable to both the standard GonD game and the hidden Collection one, which is something they already do for games with different listings for different regions (The Witcher 2, Catherine for example)

That launcher was a pain in the ass on 360. I downloaded the first game, deleted the launcher, and then wondered why the other two games didn't show up for me as owned on the store. It was the damn launcher.

I'm excited for the the story and new elements, but much more interested in hearing better support is coming for the sequel due to the rumored switch to a different engine. They're off to a bad start for me as they already announced more exclusive content that lasts the same ridiculous amount of time, a full YEAR. For reference, the current Destiny 1 exclusives will not be available on Xbox until after Destiny 2 is out.

As for the story, we know the intro at least as the stuff in the trailer lines up with the Mega Bloks leak. Cabal attacking the City, the Vanguard personally fighting them, a new Cabal unit with a new weapon. They have figured out how to make story interesting again as evidenced by Taken King and Rise of Iron. I really would love to know the thought process that made them think totally gutting the story before initial release was the best option. I guess just desperation to not release late and have Activision get more power, similar to the situation with Destiny 2 and a delay meaning Acti owns part of Bungie.

I vouched myself not to pick up any more non-BC games on the 360, mainly because my 320GB HDD is full, but they COD bundle is tempting. I already have CoD4:MW & MW2 though.
 
didn't black ops 1/2 have a digital bundle at one point on one of these systems?

now that I went digital on the others I may wishlist those 2 for digital someday as well

I'm on the last boss in the Dark Souls DLC. Hard as hell in usual Dark Souls fashion. Gonna miss this series.

I see Allow YCC 4:2:2 under 4k options now as well. Helps for fake 4k TVs right? (or not? What does it mean?)

Hopefully Phil Spencer threw a shit load of money at Atlus/Sega in Japan when he was visitng. Persona 5 is sitting at a 94 MC right now.

Nioh,Nier, Horizon and now Persona.

I would love to see a port of a few of those titles obviously not Horizon lol.

Oh well at least we have BC right?

As a dual system owner, I love Xbox but Sony has killed it just in the first three months of this year with exclusives. All four of those are GoTY candidates so far IMO.
 
I feel like the Xbox One/Microsoft consoles are for mainly the West and Europe. Nintendo consoles are for the Japanese and Sony is a good mix for those that play all types of games. I'm just used to the Microsoft brand so I stick with the consoles, phones, laptaps, etc.

Note - I know this generalization isn't true for every gamer. Digging the new update. I like all the little shortcuts

Is there an Indy game spotlight sale this week? Past two weeks were kind of a hidden sale where the ad rarely popped up on the Games Store tab.

Started Albedo last night. It's one of those games where even if you know what to do, if your cursor isn't perfectly positioned, it won't let you do it. Lots of missable achievements, but easy with a guide. Not fun, but I've played far worse.

If anyone got Wheels of Aurelia, play through it at least 4 times without a guide. You need to find all 16 endings, so may as well free play the first few, then mop up with a guide. Some endings come down to one random question / answer triggered in a conversation.

Been using it in preview and can't say it's all that much better IMO. A little faster maybe but not much else.

I REALLY can't stand the Xbox button being used for the fly out menu. The least they could have done was given us the option to map it back.

I like it. Not only is it faster, but the fly out menu has most of what I was going back home for anyway.

I get this from some customers at work as well, I've never understood a total write-off like this for two reasons. First, games from developers of a different part of the world can definitely have a unique feel, bring a different take to a genre, or be wholly different overall. It's like writing off a great series like The Witcher solely because it's Polish.

Second, you can't really know that you won't like a game just because of past games from the country. Look at the love for Dark Souls and how it flies in the face people that simply don't like Japanese RPGs. I think Resident Evil in general fits this category too, it's just as influenced by the West as the East.

I get not buying stuff at full price if you're unsure of it, but staying in your comfort zone and never trying out new stuff just sounds boring to me. Totally dismissing a genre like sports, racing, RTS, or whatever makes a lot more sense to me than an entire part of the world.

 
And Nioh, Nier and Persona 5 despite all being made by Japanese studios couldn't be further apart in the type of games they are. I'd only consider P5 to be overtly "Japanese" in mixing school day social gameplay that Japan loves and, of course, the JRPG side.

The only ones that I would have bought immediately would have been Horizon and The Show. That other shit? Not for me. Especially not all the 8 bit looking Japanese games. Ain't nobody got time fo dat. I get an hour or so a night. I'm not wasting it on shitty looking anime games.

Right. I guess I'm just an American gamer through and through. When I see some PS4 game named some crazy shit like, hell I dunno, Menoko Takata Doka Dragon 5: The Final Sensei, I just don't feel a connection.
 
I've tended to lean more towards western developers over my gaming career as well. I'll still pick up some fun Nintendo products but no I'm not losing my shit over Death Stranding, esp it's so far out anyways. Then I really don't like when people are like oh you just love your cover shooters and racing. Ehh, partially, is that a problem with you?!

Glad the update is up, looks good.

Tracking achievements is only gonna piss me off more with Forza Horizon 3. Apparently don't f'n play this game offline for a long time because due to that I have multiple achievements, find all barn finds, find all roads, upgrade to level 5 festival, etc, that haven't unlocked, they're borked. I even just tried to the fix on TA and it didn't work, only one achievement popped when I brought my game back online and it that was related to what I did last night on Blizzard Mountain.
