WELCOME TO THE NEW GAMESTOP TRADE-IN THREAD.

The new thread format will be a work in progress but this first post will be the promos that are active and useful information, but also wikified. The second post will currently be frequently asked questions but may move it into the first post. Post three will be historical trade-in values from before the list.

I don't get how you posting that they were from Craigslist would result in someone telling you to check the FAQ if they'd be included in the stealth bump... that's quite a leap in logic there
 
Is the GameStop app being wonky for anyone else? My rewards points and active offers show up fine, but my preorders won't load and I am unable to search the trade-in values for anything. Website and mobile site work fine though. And I know I'm not banned because I traded today with no issue

So does that 4 for 10 last until tomorrow? Getting MW2 and MW3 before they get announced eventually for backwards compatibility would be nice now since they are only $5 before the eventual price hike like BO2.

They didn't make CoD4 backwards compatible because they wanted to remaster it to sell more Legacy Editions of Infinite Warfare, so I'd bet they'll do the same for MW2 and MW3

 
Physical Deformers copies (Not including pre-orders) do not seem to be selling well.

Since Thursday the 20th this is the delta I have seen. (Probably at least 50,000+ total copies made across all platforms and versions)

:ps4: Standard - 1,576

:ps4: CE - 65

:xb1: Standard - 959

:xb1: CE - 98

:pc: Standard - 16

:pc: CE - 32

Christ lol I actually feel bad for the developers

Still got my two codes though :D/

 
So I traded in a bunch of games, my friends seem to gift me the same games a lot so I wait for a trade bonus to trade them all in.

I traded in 10 games and got 163.40 in trade credit after purchasing Little Nightmares Sit Edition for a friend.

I was able to finish paying of Mario kart 8 Special Edition after the $5 pre order for the last time I traded in games for credit.

I also purchased a pro controller and $20 e shop card for downloadable games like Frontier Days.

 
Deformers being a flop isn't surprising. I hear no coverage of it on podcasts or youtube I follow.

Whether the free codes were accidental or on purpose they killed my sale. I was ready to go pick it up for $15 when I heard about the 50% off but just as I was about to go I saw the free code thread and tried it first. I had no idea it was MP only, even the practice mode was lame as their are no active bots they just sit there and do nothing. In general there is just a overall lack of content too. After playing the free digital copy for a few hours I thought they were crazy to be even asking $15 for this.

I played my XBO copy some on release night, and I'll probably give it another go or two this week, but by the weekend it's going back to GS with the 50% bump.

 
Has anybody bought a digital code from GameStop recently? I tried to order an E-Shop code last night and after getting to the order confirmation page it failed to show me the code and I never received an email for it. After waiting about half an hour I checked again and also noticed the funds weren't removed from my Giftcard so I assumed it was an error and tried again to no success. Now I checked this morning and it created two orders but I still never got codes.

Just wondering if anybody else has had issues recently.

GS system is on the fritz right now. All purchases in store won't give you points until it gets fixed. Which is who knows when. GS website and pro rewards site were also down for some time until recently this morning or still is down now cause I haven't checked.

Basically everything connected to GS minus thinkgeek is fucked up for a little while.

GameStop Rule #1: NEVER buy digital currency on the GameStop website with a trade card or gift card... you'll probably never see that credit again

It's PUR Elite. Costs $60/year and scores you:

I think I'll sign up later this week just for the additional $10 off a month.
 
Do you have a flyer with all the details? I'm curious if they're giving $10/month off anything, or just used games.

I'm also curious how going from Pro to Elite works.

Hmmm they still couldn't do 20% off pre-owned at 4x the cost. I guess they make it up with the free $10 every month. Wonder what happens to my Pro account that is good until 2021 when I upgrade.

EDIT - fuck just realized this causes more work to be done on the spreadsheet.

EDIT2 - They need to throw in a free copy of Deformers with signup.
