Woah...I saw the Hot Wheels logo and thought it was a standalone game so shrugged it off as probably trash.

How did I not know there was a FH3 expansion for it? Looks awesome! Day one for me too (and really has a FH expansion let down yet?).

Edit: and I forgot that I have the Expansion Pass so already "own it".

Never had a problem with Veteran WaW. Nothing made me rage in that one, just played thru it and finished it. Now the guy in the copter mission in BLOPS3 Realistic almost made me smash the box

grabbed gears 4 on the amazon sale and am liking it so far, the story wasn't at all what I was expecting in a good way but the enemy variety has been garbage so far

The DeeBees eventually get replaced, keep going. Are you playing on Insane? Man my cousin and I have played through every single Gears on Insane and this one was by far the hardest of them all. Like some parts took a bonafide miracle to get past.

playing hardcore, haven't played a ton of gears before this but on hardcore it hasnt been that bad

 
Started the slow update on the Xbox at 10:10pm. It is now 11:00pm, it's at 92% overall going up 1% every 5 mins or so. Thankfully I have unlimited data plan on my phone.

yea I've had this happen on updates. The last update was fine but the few before that my connection was crawling big time. I did a speed test on the console before an update and was getting my normal speeds, then struggled with a 500mb system update downloading slowly.

Finally played some of The Division. That actually was a lot of fun with randoms, I could imagine how it is with friends. Initially the team I was in was a bunch of dummies with no mics but then I got in on a good team and we talked and fought bad guys for a while. I can see this as a good RPS actually. Contemplating picking it up for $20 or going for the Gold edition at $36. I really shouldn't be getting this game, I need to finish Mass Effect: Andromeda lol.

That's a tough one... Seeing that you are on TA and maybe an achievement whore... It's a really fun game and the achievements for the base game are not too tough. I also see that you have listed on your TA profile that you are a singleplayer fan... Which is where the decision becomes tough. It is a fun game to play by yourself... But is much better in a group. As for the DLC, I never got too far into Underground, but I enjoyed what I did play. I haven't really tough Survival or Last Stand, which again I am pretty sure LS is more multiplayer based, and I think Survival is as well.

I'd offer to join you in the DLC and even playing some of the base game missions... But I play at such strange hours and am very inconsistent lately on being able to play at all.

Overall I'd definitely say it is worth $20... Another $16 for the DLC might be a little steep though since I'm not sure how great the online community is these days (haven't played in awhile).

What a shitty weekend.  My main co-op buddy died Saturday afternoon while on vacation.  So many memories of playing shit on 360, PS3, XBox One and PS4 with him over the years.  Was playing with a friend in common who found out as we were playing on Saturday night.  He was just a few years older then me.  

Almost makes me want to give up gaming.  Just weird playing the game with his friend finding out and knowing he will never finish the game. 

Sorry for Monday morning downer but figured Mondays suck anyway.

Sorry to hear about your loss. My best friend since 7th grade past away last Sunday unexpectedly. Had to carry his casket Wednesday, it's the worst I've ever felt.

Sorry for your loss as well. I have known my friend for 8 or 9 years I think. Met him on another forum in a video game related thread. He has posted here on CAG but not in this thread I don't believe.

Thanks guys. Its really painful, and I'm still kinda in disbelief. We had spoke like 2 hours before he passed, and there's so much more I wish I said.

Sounds like we need a great date night or Microsoft has no heart.

So sorry to hear that. My wife went through this right before we got married and it was horrible. It does get better but never is the way it was. Out of the blue something will remind her of him and she starts crying. Luckily this is few and far between 8+ years later.

I'm sorry for you loss, man.

I had the same thing happen about 7 years ago. My main co-op partner of nearly a decade passed away and it had a profound effect on my gaming. I almost never play anything cooperative anymore.

Sure, there have been times where I would play games with other people, but no cooperative experience matched what he and I had.

I also got what you're talking about on the thing with it feeling weird playing games without him. I logged into PlayStation Home right before they closed it and seeing all the stuff he'd sent me in there just made me feel like shit. It's one of the heaviest feelings of loss that I have ever been hit with.

Next AC game is rumored to be called Assassin's Creed: Origins. Supposedly takes place in Egypt, with 2 playable characters, naval combat and a greater emphasis on exploration in its 'vast open world'.

I love AC, one of my favorite IP ever, but this still sounds like more of the same. We shall see.

Another guy who games with him said he will leave his name in his friends list on PSN and Live for a while. I can't see me deleting it ever. I might drop him out of favorites though. Just weird seeing him there top of my list on PSN. It has been a PIA getting time to game co-op with anyone with everyone having different schedules and responsibilities. But even if we don't play for months all of a sudden we would be playing. Glad we were on an uptick and playing actively. Was better to hear it from a mutual friend via PSN chat then from Facebook.

 
NBA 2K18 is up for digital preorder. 

Make no mistake, this morning's 2K announcement was intentionally timed to take the spotlight from NBA Playgrounds this week. For all we know, Playgrounds might be terrible, but still a bit malicious since the game was made by a much smaller dev (Saber).

Give them a chance - no?

Well, that sucks. I may have bought it as a standalone product. Don't own or really care to own BOIII. And certainly am not buying both just to play the Zombie Chronicles.

Shitty move Activision. Shitty move.

In hopefully happier news, fingers crossed that the Hot Wheels expansion comes out this evening rather than midnight or tomorrow. Really psyched for it.

I think it'll be the other way around. Dead by Daylight was huge on Twitch for a month or two. The game overall looks better to me. All Friday the 13th has going for it is having Jason.

I truly feel your pain and I am sorry for your loss. One of my best friends passed away at a very young age after loosing his battle to cancer. He was a good friend IRL and we played system link Halo CE on the og Xbox for hours in to the early morning, only stopping when we had to get ready to go to classes or work. It was very hard visiting him at the hospital, talking to his parents after the funeral and them thanking me for being his friend and sticking with him until the end. Playing multiplayer Halo with that group of friends, w/o him, was never the same.

I'm super biased haha so I'm def going with Friday the 13th.
I'm big into horror, and Friday the 13th just looks scarier to me. The maps in Dead By Daylight just look too bright to me. Something about it makes it look less scary.
