Not the proper thread but they suck in the right one. Played Dirt Rally VR last night, and holy shit it's amazing. Hopefully the Scorpio has its own awesome VR and we get Forza Horizon VR. I feel like I need a wheel and pedals at a minimum, and now I really want the whole racing cage

Fits with the last few releases being late October/early November. Think the latest one was black flag in the third week of November. Will be very interesting to see when this one comes out with south park being late October. They're not similar games but I'd imagine they don't want to compete with themselves either way.

FC5 looks like the next game to hit MSM, which includes talk shows. Did you see this, Ubisoft is making Far Cry 5 set in a fictional Montana USA. Yeah, not fictitious, the rednecks you have to shoot.

So confused by these three posts lol. Did chimp take KR's post as an endorsement and feel the need to make his post as a result? Cause I'm pretty sure people are already mocking Trump by aligning him with a game where the villains are inbred religious conservatives. And I don't know what in the world bardock was trying to say.

But I guess it's been like two weeks since we had a political post nuke here, so we're due, lol.

More so how during the last election (and even now) everyone was parodying those damn hats and "Make America Hate Again" was always the comment that every blogger, journalist, commenter or whatever would follow up with thinking it was clever minus the fact it was brought up week after week or even within days of each other. It was just one of those things where in my head I kept thinking "C'mon, try a little harder if you think that was clever."

 
No, I didn't take his post as an endorsement at all (I know it was a joke). Just always felt that the version I posted was a much better representation.

And the revised slogan may not have seemed "clever", but it sure was accurate.

If anyone still has an email from the $5 movie promo, make sure you use the code in the next couple days. They claim to expire on 5/31. The link in the email will be broken and not work, but if you "view source" on the email, you will be able to find the code in the source code. That is the only way to do it. They expire in 90 days. It's annoying to do but hey, at least your $5 isn't gone.

lol alright, easy may not be the right word but it's really not too difficult once you get the hang of it. Even with a squad size of 4, you can still dominate most of the game with 1 or 2 snipers, a heavy and an assault class. Just have the assault character push forward to gain the enemies attention while everyone else hangs back on overwatch (the counter/ambush option). Have the assault character retreat once the enemy sees you so they can follow and fall into your ambush. The enemy will take some damage and then you can have all of your characters focus on the 1 or 2 enemies in front of you. Rinse and repeat, you will rarely even need to use med kits until the later end battles. It doesn't really work on some of the large UFO ships at the end of the game though.

 
Started Halo 5 via the Game Pass. Two levels in, and... it kinda sucks.

Having team members which can revive you immediately makes it feel like it's Halo in name only. Worse, when requesting revives, the AI runs into the line of fire without even trying to take cover, even if they could revive you without being shot. That, and once they've been ordered to revive, they forget how to shoot completely. God forbid they kill the guy who killed you before trying to revive you. Instead, they just die too.

This probably isn't a problem on the lower difficulties, but on Heroic, they're too dumb to be dependable. With 4 real people, though, I can imagine the co-op being a lot of fun.

I'll probably finish it anyway. It's a competent shooter, but it's not a good Halo game.

 
Man... I'm really finding it a chore to go back and finish the Gears 4 campaign.  It's just not fun to me, but I don't want to get rid of it until I finish.

On another note, I'm having fun with the Black Ops II campaign.  Can't wait to finish up that and Infinite Warfare this weekend

I was questioning it until the robot enemies went away and things seemed to get progressively better. Not sure where you're at, but it's one of the few campaigns I recall that seemed to feel better as it went along and i'm definitely glad I stuck with it.

These are the exact games I am playing and I feel the same way. And I'm also doing bioshock infinite dlc, which is good btw.
 
Mother .... been using my phones hotspot, forgot to check for any updates to pause. I just checked and I have used 9GB in the last 4 hrs. I'm only to have 10GB a month before they slow the roll and I'm at 16GB used for the month, doesn't renew till the 10th. Where's the setting to stop auto downloads?

I got the Star 3 Speed Zone on one near the airfield, southwest of the Outback Festival. It's fairly doable, Extreme Track Toys have good cornering, with a Bac Mono & I used the HE one I had.

I also joined an online adventure halfway through so it took 6 events for me too.

For the second time in a year my Fiance won a stuffed animal for our daughter in the claw game at the local supermarket. That pretty much shits all over Jordan, Montana and Brady's championships all at once. I don't think I've ever actually won a prize in one of those games, I've definitely got a keeper

That was the dominant strategy of Enemy Unknown, which Enemy Within was designed to de-emphasize. Actually, the dominant strategy was even more passive where after moving one character forward you then spend 4-5 turns on reaction fire (overwatch) waiting for a patrol. There was literally no mechanical advantage for being aggressive in EU.

The main change to EW in that regard are the resources that expire if uncollected after a short number of rounds. Specifically, there will be two nodes per map with the first expiring after 4-6 rounds and the second after 8-12 rounds. The first node is pretty easy to grab even moving slowly, but you will regularly miss the second if you aren't pushing or if you get caught in an extended firefight.

Playing on easy and save scumming certainly blunts the challenge, but that mostly just makes the gameplay tedious.

Same, I think it could've cut out 10-15 minutes and been a more lean, better movie watching experience. Though the scene where he's trying to go back to the hotel room in Vegas was kind of like a live action version of the gleeful violence I bring in games like in Timeshift and Singularity made me laugh.

 
It was good, but some made it sound like some sort of transformative viewing experience. Reminds me of when people oversell how good a video game's story is when if the same story was told in a movie it'd be just okay.

The expansions work for these challenges as well, so getting Forced Induction on the Hot Wheels course was super easy if anyone wants to go that route.
