So the lack of Season Pass for Battlefront II most likely means a pretty heavy microtransaction strategy I would think.  As long as it is just a cosmetic thing I have no problems with that. Also, I wonder if that will mean a big delay in going to the vault.

I still think it'll be $500 or $600. I'd probably buy one at $400 instead of a Pro.

But yeah, regular Xbone is getting a "temporary" cut to $200 apparently.

 
I'm really pumped for Battlefront II but the lack of a jump pack kind of killed my buzz. I know they have a jump trooper but it's not the same.

That streamer/youtuber (idk) guy who introduced NFS was so awkward. I'm assuming the cue cards got messed up or something, but his appearance and "interaction" with the EA guy was so so so awkward. I felt bad for him.

Most likely they're tied up with the big three, multiplatform games are often shown on the big E3 publisher stages. Well, not so much Nintendo but mainly Sony and Microsoft.

NFS looked good, SW: BFII looks really good, how they gonna fuck that up again and I'm moderately interested in Battlefield 1's Eastern Front.

Was thinking maybe they would add Battlefield 1 to get people into it and wanting to buy the Russian DLC.

I was hoping for Dead Space 2 and 3 for the vault, already on the PC EA Origins access thing. Got my disc of DS2 still but would love to just have that digital cause I'm lazy

EA should offer Madden 18: The Longshot as a standalone digital title for $15. For those who don't always want to upgrade every year. They did this with Fight Night a few years ago, making the story mode its own download.

(They could do this with FIFA too, as The Journey is also a great story campaign.)

If you search for any of the games, the Install option will be there. Idk if you can grab the games using EA Access app; someone online said they couldn't. I didn't try so I can't verify.

I'm trying to dial back how excited I am to see major Burnout throwbacks in that NFS trailer by focusing on the storytelling that is slightly reminiscent of the 2015 release's cutscenes.

Battlefront looks alright. The free dlc and emphasis on vehicles is interesting. The rigid and completely non-interactive environments really disappoint me. Come on DICE, I want Battlefield: Star Wars.


What I would do with the Scorpio reveal: rebroadcast all the previous days trailers captured on PS4 with some sweet 4k Scorpio versions to shove in the faces of all the PS fanbois and gfx snobs. Not that I have a display or the bandwidth that could highlight the difference, but it would be nice to see some "Captured on Scorpio" tags.

Just watched EA's show, I thought it was a lot better than last year. Only two games I found interesting as Bioware's teaser was basically worthless.

I hope Battlefront takes a cue from Overwatch and it's microtransactions are only cosmetic, but I'm pretty skeptical there. If they don't mess that up I'll probably get it.

I noticed the same thing. I have my (360) copy of Far Cry 3 in, and I can start up FH3 and the Hot Wheels DLC (haven't started the Blizzard Mountain DLC yet) without the disc. I just noticed it on Friday.

I found the free EA access from the home page (something on the sales and specials page I believe), and when I clicked NHL 17 from in he EA Access app, it took me right to the store page and said download for free. Can probably get there by the games themselves but through the Access app you can see which ones are free (only the Vault games AFAIK).
 
For a game that has so many people playing it, the matchmaking in Gears 4 sucks dick.

Just trying to play some Arms Race and every time we get to a match, it resets due to a player quitting. 10 minutes, not a single fucking match started. I'm done. I'll go watch INDYCAR racing instead.

Ahhh you're about a week too late, was looking all over for one but a CAG hooked me up. I really hope they give out Halo Wars 2 Blitz Packs and not the Season Pass lol on Mixer tomorrow. Btw, I set up my hammock, have a small outdoor table and I'm good to go streaming outside tomorrow for Microsoft's Presser!

I hope they give out a complete game and not a dlc.... but I can only dream. They will probably give us all 25 cents like its our bday.

I hope so too, otherwise I'll have a tough time offloading the 2 SPs I have lol. Sounds like a nice setup to watch it, I would probably do something similar but we're supposed to have thunderstorms tomorrow.

Battlefront II is definitely a must buy for me at this point, but at the same time it almost looks too good to be true. Maybe EA finally got it together and is going to release a game that is at least reminiscent of what I remember back in the day.

I'm not very active (mostly because I have nothing to say that would contribute to probably 90% of the conversations on this board and I'm usually on my phone), but I just picked up the game today and wouldn't mind the season pass.

Finally caved on Friday the 13th earlier this week and when the game works, it's amazing. Seems to be much more stable than I was reading about at launch, but there's still some glitches and the occasional crash.

Anyone know if upgrading to the remaster of Bulletstorm is worth it? Mainly want it for the Duke Nukem stuff, but it's been sitting in my 360 backlog for awhile and I can't imagine it's going BC now with the remaster

 
I think it's unlikely we'll see something as big as a season pass as the free DLC, or anything super recent so buyers don't feel burned. Maybe DLC for an older game like Sunset Overdrive, along with the free game being something that has paid DLC or microtransactions, if not a smaller budget title.

It is $20 at gamestop today only if you are a PUR Pro member.

Edit: As for if it's worth it..... I have no idea. Not a single one of my 280 friends have purchased it digitally (or physically that i know of).

I don't know about upgrading unless you have no intention of playing the 360 version. The only added thing period was the PAID Duke DLC. You get it free with the discs out there for now still but it's pretty shitty the one new piece of content wasn't permanently included at full price. I'd only grab it at $20 and below like it just was at Best Buy if you already own the original.

 
I'm guessing the free DLC will be for whatever games they give away for free.  Seems weird to give away DLC for a game you might not own...though that might be a way to drive sales...hmmm...
