This thread will attempt to provide a place to discuss past/present/future PC gaming deals. While mainly focusing on Steam games, any standout sales may also be presented. I will not be updating every Daily/Weekly/etc. sale. The tools to help individuals become a smarter shopper will be provided below.

See this POST for links to store sale pages, threads of interest and other tools to help you become a more informed PC game shopper.

I wonder how many posts in this thread are actually about deals. Not this one, at least.
Well, if there any actual worthwhile deals around here, we might be actually talking about them.

But, nope - Steam sales are often quite "meh" until Steam Sales happen. Even then, Big Steam Sales might be "meh."

Our best bets - keep checking everywhere (Amazon, Gamersgate, GMG, etc) else for Steam-versions deals.

But, honestly - only real deals seem to be, oddly enough, on Origin + GOG right now.

Of course...deals on those two sites (GOG + Origin) are likely for their own respective platforms, not Steam.

Metro Franchise SALE! Read all about it. Full story! Get your Metro Redux bundles here!

$7.49 for the Metro REDUX Bundle. It's been cheaper ($5.99) and it's been on sale many times before (like almost every other week).

So... how about that incoming heat wave this week!? I hear it's going to be hot in the East, because it's a heat wave. You know?
My wife wants me to grill tonight cause "it is hot out", and I'm like "fuck yeah it is, and you want me to stand next to a fire as well?" pffffff

It was already dead. Don't you remember when Onlive put Steam out of it's misery years ago?
Out of 525 games, I see like 4 I don't own from a Steam sale that was super cheap. Course I bought those games.. I dunno 2009? So yay, I pay monthly for decade old games. It's genius really.

But man, if you like Delicious Emily's stories... they have like 9 of them. Seems like a Motoki set right there.

Edit: Ok, so seriously... why pay monthly when you got things like http://www.bigfishgames.com/ to keep you company?

Thank you! I've never understood it. I grill in the fall and people look at me like I'm crazy.
Everybody I know grills for July 4, a lot of folks do it on Memorial Day and Labor Day and the rest of the cooking is extreme late summer and fall, aka almost every Saturday during college football season.

Conspiracy theory for the weekend:

MysterD gets paid handsomely by Comcast to persuade gamers to waste a large chunk of their monthly data cap on huge video game demos.
Already had TFall 2 MP Trial DL'ed.

Didn't delete files in case I likely buy full game later - so it DL's what's missing later.

It's DL'ing around 5GB more probably for the 2 Campaign missions + whatever patches/updates.

EDIT:

Would've been nice if Comcast paid my Comcast bill, given how much I spend on Triple Play per month.

Metro: Exodus looks pretty good.

State of Derpcay 2 at least a year away from launching on Steam... you've got to be shaq-fu'ing kidding me.  Lazy ass developers.

Eh? Doesn't look anything like Wolfenstein aside from being a first person shooter. The other Metro games weren't either, being more methodical and stealth/survival based shooters that rewarded NOT killing humans.
The stuff with the giant rat attacking his arm, him kicking the other one, jumping at the ladder, closing the door on another one... that doesn't remind you of The New Order's semi-scripted events? Because it does to me.

Other than that stuff, this looks like a solid game, and snark aside, I really AM looking forward to buying it at 75% off.

It looked pretty much the same as portions of 2033/Last Light. The biting rat was the standard "you let a mutant get too close and need to QT melee it" motion (the rat he kicks is the same rat that bites him). The difference being that it's usually not as fluid looking because, as the player, you're spending more time bumbling around or making sure to shoot all the rats before hitting the exit instead of making it cinematic.

But I'm sure it has some semi-scripted stuff because the last two games did as well. But I think the trailer exaggerates how it'll actually play out. I'm possibly more forgiving because I want to see where the story goes, having played both games and actually read Metro 2033 and Metro 2034 (which is nothing like Last Light, hence LL not being called 2034).

That new biowware game actually looked pretty good in terms of gameplay...too bad they couldn't make an rpg with that sort of play instead of making ea destiny which nobody asked for

BioWare Edmonton is not BioWare Edmonton anymore.

They haven't really been themselves since probably DA2, TBH. And I don't think they are ever going to be the same ever again, either.

Too many big names + key staff over the years have left - i.e. Patrick Weekes, Casey Hudson, Jennifer Hepler, David Gaider, Trent Oster, Alan Miranda, The Doctors, etc etc.

will be bundled... soon

Look forward to that Deep Silver Derpy HB

Not really excited about the new Bioware game.

Definitely excited by the Ori sequel, The Last Night, Assasins Creed Egypt, and Forza. Cuphead and Tacoma both look interesting too, although Ive known about those two in respect to details for a while.

Everything else Im eh about. New Mordor game looks good though.

Ori looks great. I've had my eye on everything else except AC and Forza for awhile now.

So, is Valve going to see a cut of these Paid Mod DLC's on Creation Club?

Or are games supporting BethSoft's Creation Club going to get kicked off by Valve and/or pulled by BethSoft from Steam?

Buy credits through Steam, problem solved.

At least they're curating it this time, instead of the free-for-all that was doomed to fail from the start.
