Well, I did a lot of repairs. Personally, I'm glad that the game doesn't cater to K

kiddies. Get out there and actually do your job, folks
Well, I agree on that. My point wasn't really focused on K

or kills, but I mean, reviving a buddy gives you like 50 points whereas spawning on a bunch of teammates and standing there for a bit over 5 seconds or so on a point while everyone else takes it gives (well, GAVE, I'm not sure what they changed it to) you 500. I can't rightly say that's not a little silly.
It's not broken. You score more points if you ptfo in an objective based game mode. That's the way it should and does work.
^ so many times over. PTFO or GTFO. You can easily be #1 on the scoreboard and have crappy k/d's, thats how battlefield has always worked. It rewards teamwork rather than twitchy kill play. Besides if you're playing medic and the map has a lot of choke points you can easily be in the top5-10 without making a single kill, Ive done it on BF4 many times on the close quarters maps and was #1 once with only 1 kill (was trying to make it 0 but had no choice when someone got up on me). Just get into the firefight and rez your ass off, you'll easily make more points than those doing the killing
You'll find those people that are constantly flying, most either keep a controller on their desk or a hotas, cause you can easily switch to them mid-game and the BF's will pick it up for vehicle control
I do expect them to start having just a 'premium' rotation and an 'all you own' one. Most of the previous servers would be marked with what dlc they supported and unless they were clan specific run it was usually all dlc+vanilla or just vanilla. So now with matchmaking I would hope they would add it where it just scans what dlc the party owns and matchmakes against that. Really doesnt make sense to segment it out into 4 separate queues of only 4 maps
Eh, like I said above, it is a little broken. You can stroll over to an objective already being taken for a little over 5 seconds (I forget what the time cutoff is, but it's not long), snag 500 points (a little lower now I think, thankfully), then go back to whatever you were doing. If that's your idea of a balanced point system while the top guy is a steaming pile of garbage and still gets a mass amount of points, agreed to disagree I guess. I've been on teams that got annihilated, can't hold any objectives, then I look at the scoreboard and see some guy with 3 kills and 20+ deaths at the top of the board because sure, he did his good duty and capped points, but didn't even try holding them down. It's a very common occurrence, because that's how the system works and people game it. As helpful as capping points is, running around grabbing points and making no effort to defend them will lose you a game just as quick as camping out with a sniper rifle like a CoD scrub.
K

is meaningless for the most part (I mean someone playing a scout is at advantage on that end and that winds up not helping the team much at all if the class is overused), and I don't think kills ever need to give out more points, but the point system encourages capping points, leaving them to the hounds and going to the next, rinse and repeat. Holding them down? Nah, no real bonus there. Defending them? Those points almost seem random and even when you get defender bonuses they're paltry amounts. That's the problem. I completely agree that capping SHOULD give out the most points (thinking otherwise is stupid in a game mode like that), but the numerical divide between how many are given versus what literally every other vital action in the game gives you is way too wide.
All that said, I do need to play again and see what the update changed. I wasn't paying much attention the one time I played after it dropped.
