Since I thought the cheap 3DS games thread was a good idea. I thought I would start one for the PS Vita. I will maintain this site a few times a day going forward. Post links up to new deals and I will add them to the OP. Anyhow, here we go:

That code for $10 off doesn't work at all. Anyone had any luck?
 
So the PSVita version of Ys VIII has a problem, it won't sync with the PSN trophy data. PS4 version is fine.

Me: hi, I'm having trouble with my Vita (option not visable when selected) It seems to no longer synce with my PSN trophies. In particular the game Ys VIII that I have been playing this week, the game will not show up as a game that I have trophies for.

Me: I first ran into a problem on Monday, the day before the game was released in stores. this is because I ordered the Collectors edition online via NISA store online. This is when I first noticed a problem. I attempted to place the game into my PSTV to see if the game would then work to update trophies there... no cigar.

Me: I decided to wait a day or two before trying again, and the trophies will show on the consle when selected but not on the PSN side. (I double checked on my PS4 and the game was not shown there.)

Me: I disconected and reconected my internet connection (on Vita) and this did not fix the problem. (take your time. )

Me: the summery at the top says I have no (0) trophies, but the page now reads that I have last played several PS4 games (all correct) and now lists the last few trophies that I have achived.
Me: I've just gone back and set everything in my privacy settings to public.

Me: changed tabs to Trophies, and still no Ys 8. Yes for other Vita trophies.  
Jose: Can you please confirm me if you are able to check your Progress in the YS 8 trophies in your PS Vita.
Me: correct. I can see 6 tropies that I have earnt, all bronze
Jose: Alright, Let's try something else, Let's try Signing Out from your account in the PS Vita, and Signing In again.

Me: signed out, turned off, turned on, and signed back in. (no problem.) attempting to sync trophies again.

Me: I do have a new game not yet placed into my system that I could check, to maybe help narrow down where the problem is at.
Jose: In this case I must advise you to wait for a max of 24 hours, As I do believe the issue is because of the game being recently released. If this doesn't work I suggest you to keep waiting because maybe the System is having a problem because I just reviewed the Trophies statistics and it appears that We are having problems tracking down the trophies of this game.
Me: ah. that would make sense. ok. is it only the PSVita version that is effected?
Jose: I think so, I am not able to see anything weird with the PS4 version.

Nep Nep Rebirth 1 for a great price, and it's starting to get rare, so this would be a great chance to pick it up if you still need,

Also has a copy of Project Diva f 2nd for same price, which is also a nice deal.

The seller is a pawn shop, so figures doesn't know the actual value of the games, so just listed them all same price for Vita games.

And just fyi, if you're wondering why they're available, literally just listed about an hour ago, so that's why.

BTW, my Tachyon Project from PA arrived today. The packaging is pretty slick, as this is my first exclusive from them so far. I'll for sure get some more if and when anymore Vita titles are offered.

 
Really want to support Mary Skelter bit financials wont allow it. Hope they do well enough not to be considered a failure.

So did you get a "sample" copy that Play-Asia referenced in that email from a couple weeks ago?

If it's a sample review copy, you'd see a hole punch or something like that on the barcode. But Play-Asia wasn't really clear about what to look for.

Thanks for the info, mine seems to be fine then. Which is good, as I can't stand Play-Asia's CS department, and I'm not looking to deal with them unless all options have been exhausted. LOL

Best I can tell a sample doesn't have the holographic sticker with the "# of #" on the back. Quickest way to tell from the outside.

Giving up on DariusBurst. I generally like pretty SHUMPs for casual fun since I'm an average-skilled SHUMP player.
But DariusBurst is too hardcore, actually the most hardcore SHUMP that I have ever played on my Vita.

Japan, why you always hardcore.

I haven't played Burst yet, but my past experiences with the franchise normally placed it in the middle of the road for me. Not bullet hell hard, but not really easy either.

 
Sample copies aren't the same as review copies.

They're copies that are made before the final copies are produced.

Sometimes sample copies may also be a previous version of a game as well, as sample copies are made a bit before final productions are made, so sometimes last minute glitches and bugs that need to be fixed will get fixed, or something needs to be taken out will differ from the final version, so that's also neat as well assuming there are any here, but most likely just the packaging that's affected. :D

Review copies from Japan and Asia don't do the UPC holepunch, hacksaw spine, or any other blasphemous damage to their games they send out.  All they do is unseal part or all of the plastic wrap so it's no longer new. 

NA publishers are sadist I tell ya, SADISTS!

The CS mode is simply too long and grindy for a SHUMP which by default does not have a plot.
I did grind to the best ship, and then started a mission that ends with the hardest boss. I maxed out everything going into the mission (by spending credits) and barely beat it. Of course this is not the last mission.
The "last" mission that gives you end credits is a longer mission with the same boss, and I feel like my skills cannot improve too much at this rate. Coupled with beating the hardest boss actually gave me a trophy, I feel like I should stop before being sucked into the wormhole of pursuing the ending, then the true ending which you need to beat 180+ mission in CS mode.
 
Hmm you got me interested in trying the Darius Burst I got. I'm going to play on the PS4 though....Vita screen too small for me for shoot em ups.

Damn, now your making me not want to even try. LOL

I'm a fan of shooters from a design standpoint, and while I've had some favorites over the years, it's for sure a genre I could do with out if need be. Gradius and R-Type are two of my early favs, and actually the first Darius from the arcade as well. A rather cool and unique experience if you can ever find the 3 screen set up. But I'm more in to the themed style of In the Hunt or Steel Empire.

So while I'll play them from time to time, and I've liked many, I don't think I've ever pre-ordered one, or even bought one at launch. Actually, I did buy Area 88 for the Super Famicom when that was released in Japan, but that may have been my only one.

This reminds me, when I finished the AC mode, it tells you to mind your head because I guess the original Arcade is a egg-like machine where you hunch into the shell to view a giant horizontal screen.

Kinda funny when I am playing on my Vita.

Haven't been in this thread in a while. Nearly lost my shit when I saw that Omega Labyrinth was getting an Asian English release.. then massive disappointment when it turned out to be menu only.

Hi everyone, I'm new to the vita scene and am becoming interested in the system. Are there any good deals on the vita hardware or is eBay and Craigslist the only places left selling them? Any advice is greatly appreciated.
 
Tried to play that Malicous Rebirth game from last sale. My god it is so boring, feels like my two dollars will be wasted.

If you want new, amazon.jp and you have many choices of colors (just beware that Japanese version's system menu has X and O function swapped,). Got my neon orange there a year ago.
