I just wish they'd release games I'm interested in. More games like Strangers Wrath.

I.E. not budget indie games

Got the La Mulana EX CE. Would've rather gotten the standard edition personally, but I got to the site late and it was sold out.
CE seemed overpriced, so that's probably why the standard went first. I never listen to game soundtracks. I play a lot of (non-story) games with the sound off while I'm watching Netflix or sports.

Same for me, honestly. Soundstracks and artbooks are kind of one-time things for me. I would've waited for the evening batch, but my wife and I have plans tonight and it's unlikely I'll be able to snag it then.

So I have the option to pick up Mary S ($16) or Drive Girls ($12)... Both are new/sealed, but I can't get both... Go!

My brain is numb.

I've been re-going over the Sony Region divisions matter, again, for the umpteenth-billion time (slightly exaggerating), of my own accord without anyone pestering to me look further into the matter. Still as illogical as ever for the most part. Now as for why I intentionally subjected myself to this mental torture and then even admitted to it ou are all likely wondering. Well for the same reason as every other time in the past after the first; Epic Mickey 2. My British friend vacationed in Mexico City back in late September, was there during the whole earthquake ordeal. But while there asked him if he couple possibly see if he could find a copy of Epic Mickey 2 for the Vita. Well he obliged, said it was easy to find, less easy to find a copy complete in the original, non-dog chewed case (weird?). So now I have a copy of said game and see why there has been so much fuss over the checklist and directory.

Now here's the thing, I've had this game in my possession for about three weeks now, and only last night while arranging some of my Vita games on the shelf did I take heed of the Sony internal release code marking on the spine of the game case. Mind this is one of those games where the cart label has a seemingly random numeric only code like the Tell Tale Game carts. And it was right there on the spine, exactly where it should be... PCSA 00110. Now the problem is that Latin America being the abysmal technological hole for Earth's current "modern" societies, I have wasted hours unable to find any worthwhile pictures of other Region 4 releases, so have no basis for which to compare Epic Mickey 2 with in this regard.

Research did, however, yield that Sony was planning to build PlayStation media production facilities in South America and was openly discussing this... in 2013. Found no follow up news on that. So my current guess on this is that because Sony has/had no real production capability in Mexico or Central and South America they handled production orders and packaging through the Region 1 facilities, and thus this game got a Region 1 production code. I think what shocks me most is that in the over two years of debating this one game, no one has ever offered up this one little piece of data, "PCSA".

This still doesn't change the fact that Sony officially has Mexico as being in Region 4 of their product territories, and that this game is certainly not available for the Vita physically in Region 1. This game is nigh impossible to obtain outside of Region 4. Short of actually going to a region 4 country in person, as my friend did, and hunting down a copy at a used game shop, the odds of finding this game at a remotely reasonable price are about nil.

So I have the option to pick up Mary S ($16) or Drive Girls ($12)... Both are new/sealed, but I can't get both... Go!
I wouldn't get Mary Skelter yet if you are interested in the Limited Edition. Its still available on the IFFY website, and they usually do a black friday sale for their old LEs. So it might be up for cheap there soon.

I think it would be harder to get Mary Skelter down the the line then Drive Girls. It already dropped to 19.99 at Gamestop
Could be, but HPB is doing a BF sale for 20% off entire purchase. Hoping for a price drop before then on a few of the games they have in the cabinet. I like to gamble a bit in the hunt. :)

Yeah I took advantage of that 50% off as well but I had some friends/family help me out as well :p The only disadvantage is that they didn't have any Vita games.

Well, there goes another hundreds of dollars down the drain, but it'll be worth it!

JP VITA TITLES FOR ME!!!!!!

I cancelled mine long ago...honestly there doesn't look there is much game there.
I think it's kind of fun, but yeah, you don't do much in it. (Tokyo Tattoo Girls)

And for Mary v Drive Girls...I'd choose just about anything that isn't Drive Girls. That game disappointed me so much.

What are the chances the Vita edition of YS VIII goes on sale anywhere during black friday? Does Amazon still do sales on Vita stuff?

Very low. I think the only time you can expect to see Vita deals are in store-wide B2G1-type deals. I doubt the MSRP will hold too long beyond the holidays, though.

NISA's annual holiday sale always begins on Cyber Monday., which this year will be on November 27th.

Due to those two titles having only just released today, I do not forsee either of those being part of NISA's annual sale this year. As you have already said, they retain a certain percentage of copies of the game for about a month after the last ordered copy has been shipped out to use as replacements for any reported lost and damaged shipments. The leftover copies, and the returned damaged copies, are then held back to sell off at the NISA booth at Anime Expo. Whatever then doesn't sell at Anime Expo is then offered online during their annual holiday sale.

Last update on Skullgirls from the LRG folks was targeting December. Though at this point, TBA is probably a more accurate indicator. :whistle2:(
The temptation to list the release date as "(maybe?)" was very strong. But thanks for pointing out that they're now claiming next month, somehow I'd missed that.

Haven't shopped with Amazon.com in twenty-three months. Last thing I ordered from them was Steins;Gate for the Vita, for which they were the only official US-based distributor thereof and they put the game on sale for $19.99 on Christmas Day 2015. Kinda scary I can remember that isn't it?

That said, the game has allegedly sold rather well. NIS (NISA/NISE) Published the English language version in both R1 and Europe R2, making it readily available to the largest English-language markets, and copies are still easy to find in both territories. With those facts in mind, findiing a used good copy at a good price in GameStop during their annual "Buy 2 Used, Get 1 Used Free" sale shouldn't be impossible. Otherwise, we're so close to when the game released back in September I can't imagine NISA officially discounting this title before next year, if then. NISA Isn't exactly known for marking down their releases.

5%

It takes 5 weeks for the Vita carts to get manufactured and delivered. Unless it gets approved this week, we will get it in January since if it happens to come in on December, it will still take at least 1 - 2 weeks to actually ship/arrive.
