The rain system is different and looks pretty slick. Tracks and cars are mostly the same. I am not sure there is even any "exclusive" tracks in Forza 6 as they put them all in Forza 7 too. Driving physics are a bit different. My main point for getting Forza 6 was 1) I wanted to own all Forza games, 2) Forza 7 loot system takes away from the experience, even when owning $300m as I do it just stands in the way and its not even fun to open lootboxes. 3) Car scrolling is really tedious, often it does not even load the liveries anymore and its so slow, 4) Porsche expansions. There is a porsche campaign on the history of Porsche in Forza 6. The DLC was on sale for $5 last week (wonder why not for the daily deal). Also I figured over time, you surely will want to play Forza 6 some day. And at $10 I mean... Sony guys would kill to have something as this on PS4.

On another note, don’t believe the bad reviews. Bright on Netflix is actually a pretty decent movie. It’s also NOT for kids despite the premise.

Thanks for the update. Picked up $5 twice while it was live. Needed a few more days to hit number 3. If it doesn't come back I'll work on stockpiling for 1 year of GWG.

Doubtful. I see people post huge hauls from some of these sales.
I usually only buy a couple of things. That said I do have 342 games on my X and another 158 ready to install. I’m sure there’s a lot of folks here that have over a thousand though.

Some of those games are also EA Access and Game Pass so don’t technically “own” all of them too.

Depends on what you like. I bought just the vanilla Forza 6 because I’m not as big into sims. I love the Horizon series more — FH3 and its expansions in particular.

If you prefer more arcadey racing and crazy shit like the loops and stuff in Hot Wheels, FH3 is a no-brainer.

If you prefer sims, track racing and car collecting, FM6 may be the better bet.

Forza Motorsports are just that, motorsport racing. You will find yourself on a closed course with real life race tracks & locations with a series of cars ranging from Class D all the way up to P1 all reving to go in a 24 player/AI battle in a simulation realistic way. Race around in cars you could only dream of owning.

Forza Horizons are open world racing within a set series of routes where the game emphasizes fun. You can play in exotic locals with a series of set cars again ranging from Class D to well X. Big crazy set pieces all give you a really cool moment. Collectibles are all over the place and events/challenges are also sprinkled all around the map. FH3 has a day night cycle with the night sky box actually stars seen from Australia, its phenomenal too look at. Go on an adventure with a car, basically.

I'd say if you haven't played Forza Horizon 3 yet, def that one with the pass for Hot Wheels & Blizzard Mountain. Prob the best racing experience you'll have.

TA posted an article saying that a bunch of the Transformer games may be delisted at the end of the year as they have left steam and playstation. Something to be mindful of if you are interested in them. I know at least one is digital only.

About five years ago Comcast Blast bumped my 30 to 70 for free in the Atlanta area. Then I moved and had Comcast Blast at 50 which was bumped to 70 two years ago. Neither time was a trap. Now I'm getting pop ups from Comcast that speeds are increasing in my area and I'll need a new modem to reach those speeds. Doubt that's a free bump.

Also, as Trench stated several Transformer games are getting delisted. Just wanted to expand on that and say that one TF game has DLC with achievements tied to it (DLC isn't on sale) and also the Legend of Korra games are getting delisted. Those seem popular. Are they any good? And don't forget that Sword Coast Legends will get pulled soon, too. At least they all had sales with the TF games having some of their best pricing ever.

The backlog runs deep - I bought that TF DLC with achievements back in June 2010 for 400 MS points.  Actually did play the game for a bit.

i'm same as you and i didn't think twice about buying return to arkham. now i want to replay arkham asylum before playing arkham city for the first time.

$10 for the best 2 batman games, remastered for xbox one, is pretty damn good.

I didn't see them when I was there yesterday. I was looking at the PSN cards they had for the same deal this week and thought saving 12.5% total wasn't really worth it. But with the extra $10 in the 2 holiday XBL packs. Totally worth it. As it would cost $78.75 for $100 in XBL credit you'd save 21.25%.

They weren't with the the video game section. They have several holiday themed gift card displays. May have to check there.

I’ve seen them at Walmart in Canada but it’s alwsys physical cards at the store, they don’t show on their sites
 
In the middle of playing The Evil Within and it freezes. I exit and load it back up and it gets to where I have to press a button to get to the menu and nothing works. Has this happened to anyone else before?

 
Not specifically with that game but I've had the same problem. Try "quitting" the game through the dash and restarting it. If you're still having issues, restart the console.
 
I know I'm late to the party, but Wolfenstein (New Order) is so fucking good. I'm having a lot of fun farming perks.

Unrelated: while I was housebound, I tried to watch Terminator: Genysis. It's rare I don't finish something after I start it, especially a movie, but wow, that movie is awful.

I just finished all three games in the last month and I thought they got better as they went along. So you're in for a treat if you enjoyed that first one.

That's good to hear.

New Order definitely suffers graphically from being a mixed-gen game (low res textures in a lot of the environments), but it's evident that by the lack of MP they really did focus on making a really good, engaging single player game.

 
Looking for some advice.  I'm debating about getting Dead Rising 4 + Season Pass as it's the lowest I've seen it in this sale and/or Shadow Warrior 2.  I've never played a Dead Rising game and have seen mixed reviews on Dead Rising 4.  It seems like those who played the first two games didn't like the direction of 3 and 4 but some people say 4 is actually fun.  I have the first Shadow Warrior on the PS4 but it is sitting in my backlog and would likely play it first before Shadow Warrior 2.  However, at $16 that is the lowest I've seen that game and am debating about waiting it out for a lower price.

Any thoughts on these two?  Is it worth getting either at this point and at the current sale prices?  Thanks for any replies in advance.

Dead Rising 4 is great, it's my favorite one. For 16 I don't think you could regret it. The vibe is what you make it.

No and try doing a power cycle on your Xbox hold down power button till it powers down and wait 10 seconds to power it back on also your in for a real treat with evil within.

Legend of Korra was delisted from those services as well, so likely a similar situation. That one does not have a physical copy.

Transformers Devastation has disc versions, but also one bit of DLC (skins) - completely forgot about that, so something else to consider before its too late.

 
Should I get Forza Motorsports 6? I just bought a Logitech G920 and the Open Wheeler racing cockpit will be in next week! I got Forza 7 ultimate I'm going to start and started Forza Horizon 3 alreadyand have both expansions for that. Should I get Forza 6 though? I was hoping for a deal on Dirt 4 or Project Cars 2 instead.
 
Finished the SW Battlefront 2 campaign. If it wasn’t for the SW atmosphere I would say it would be a hard pass. The gameplay was just very mediocre to me.
I also had more glitches and I have seen in any game in a while. During one mission my light saber was invisible almost the whole time. During two different missions my character glitched out and I was literally flying around the map or sliding slowly without moving my legs.
 
Die Hard is the movie of the day deal for $2.99 on Windows Store. It's not Movies Anywhere compatible, but you know, it's Die Hard for $2.99. There are also other Christmas movies on sale for the day for $2.99, but be warned, they're not Die Hard.

I enjoyed SW2 much more than the first. I liked the procedurally generated levels, randomized weapon mod loot drops, and co-op, all which the first game didn't have. Carrying over from the first game, you get a huge variety of fun weapons, a pretty good melee system for an fps, crazy oversized monsters that explode into giblets on death, and an endless supply of dick jokes (the main character's name IS Lo Wang, after all).

So, I liked it.

I thoroughly enjoyed it on Xbox One. No problems at all. I don't have a reference for Xbox 360, but I actually think Murdered is a really good game on Xbox One. I wasn't expecting much though.

I do think Murdered: Soul Suspect is a good game, especially at that price (the same price as a lot of been-there done-that indie sidescrollers). My only complaint is the storyline and gameplay are super short and simplistic. If you're not after collectables, you'll plow through the game in a few hours. If you ARE after collectables, enjoy trying to find all ~300 of them (you'll probably need a walkthrough). Other than that, great story and very memorable. I beat it long ago and still remember the ending very well.

This might just be me, but I can't go backwards in a series like that. If you've already started FH3 and plan to start FM7, I can't see any benefit to playing FM6 unless it's for the Porsche or Nascar expansions. FM6 is great like I mentioned before, but it sounds like you're more into racing games given that you have a wheel and all so if you do get FM6 I'd hold off on starting FM7.

Thanks, I'll probably just hold off on FM6 for now. I got a One X also so I'm excited to play FM7 im 4k at 60 fps. Plus I heard FH3 is getting a One X update January 15th. I'd want the complete editon of FM6 so not really wanting to spend $40 right now.
