Side topic: UbiSoft announced Assassin's Creed Rogue Remastered would be released March 20th for PS4/XB1 back in January. Strange thing is that they haven't made in any other announcements (i.e. Price, pre-ordering through retailers) since then. If something has caused delays they sure are being quiet about it.

I don't believe there will be a delay, because even in those instances, the game shows up on retailer sites and the release date gets adjusted to unknown. I hope I am wrong, but I suspect Ubi is going to pull a dick move and make it download-only. I've been doing searches for it periodically since it was announced and I saw someone post a chat they had with someone from Ubi last week, and even the Ubi rep had no explaination for why it's nowhere to preorder.

Well if it does turn out to be download-only I'll likely hesitate about buying it until it drops in price. I've been searching retailers for pre-order since it was announced too and to no avail so far. It's just weird that with 12 days to go before release nobody at Ubi seems to know what's going on. Then again, every game publisher does crazy stuff all the time.

At what point does the COD cow milk dry up and Activision has to move on? I can’t believe they get away with making a new one every year that’s essentially the same game year after year after year...

I’m not against people playing it but man I got sick of them 4-5 years ago and can’t believe people keep buying them.
it's not the same game every year, i play it every year and i love some and hate others

it's the best selling game every year so don't expect it to disappear any time soon, i'm just wondering why it's coming out in october instead of november as usual, maybe they are afraid of Red Dead 2

It's annoying to me, since I like to play games in a series in release order, and Rogue is the next one on my list. So I'm very much behind in AC games and anxiously waiting for this one to come out so I can resume the series. But I absolutely hate the idea of paying more than $20 for a non-physical game and especially buying one at full price. So I don't know if I'd end up biting the bullet or putting the game off even more months.

I here you on that, stuff like this makes me glad I still have my PS3 and 360. If nothing else I can get a physical copy of Rogue to play on one of those systems if I don't like the price of the remastered edition of it.

I actually do own it for PS3, just hadn't gotten to playing it yet. By the time I finished Black Flag, the remastered edition of Rogue was announced, so I figured it would be better just to wait and get that version instead. Especially since AC3 was doing weird stuff on my PS3 (like, polygons were there that shouldn't be.) Didn't want a repeat in Rogue if it was running on the same engine.

I hear ya, I've been thinking about getting Rogue for 360. Hopefully it'll run better on your PS3 than AC3 did if push comes to shove. To be honest I haven't finished a single AC game yet. Played a little bit of each on PS3 and enjoyed AC2 the most so far. Since they can be had for dirt cheap prices I'll probably pick them up again soon.

Hopefully someone can answer this, will my saved data from my vanilla copy of Horizon Zero Dawn work with the Complete Edition? Im still in the middle of my playthrough, but might just trade in my vanilla copy to play the Frozen Wilds as soon as im done with the story.

It should? My save carried over to the complete physical version.

AC3 is glitchy hell. Worse AC game after Unity, but Rogue is plays far better. I played AC3 and Rogue on my PS3 and Rogue definitely played a lot better. Although I understand why you want to play them in order, you can move onto Unity first if anything, since that and Rogue were simultaneously released. Doesn't really matter which one you play first IMO.

Kiwami 2 has not been announced for the US I believe. If you know otherwise a source would be great. I loved Kiwami (my first Yakuza) and 0 is absolutely phenomenal. I tend to stay on the main quest these days in RPGs due to time constraints but the side stories are just incredible. Really hope Kiwami does get a US release.
From what I've read, Sega was treating the Kiwami remakes as a soft reboot of the series for the west and that they are trying to keep the release dates for Yakuza western releases as close to the japanese release date as possible which should mean a release is inevitably soon. That said there is no official confirmation that I can find as of yet.

Surprisingly decent Flash Sale tbh. My PS4 is just getting filled this month my goodness. I never thought I'd have so much digital stuff on it when I bought it 3 years ago.

I'm the same, like to play games in a series in release order. And I'm also at Rouge, which is probably next in the queue for last gen games. There are more than a few series that I still have PS3/360 games to play in, like Batman Arkham firinstance. I (somewhat) recently played thru the PS3 Wolfenstein game 'cause was hyped to play the newer ones (which of course haven't gotten to yet). This sometimes seems to keep me from playing the latest and greatest, but those games are going nowhere, I would be less likely to go back and play the older games if I played the newer first, and PS3/360 games I find for the most part still hold up quite well. I'm a slowassgamer besides a cheapassgamer, so I still have quite a few older games I would like to get to.

Asked this on the Flash sale forum, but got no hits there:

Question for Project Cars: Complete Edition digital owners:

Does purchasing the Complete Edition grant you access to Project Cars vanilla and its' DLC (shows as purchased on the PS Store), or is the Complete Edition a separate download that includes the game and DLC all-in-one, ala Shadow of Mordor?

I ask because I own Project Cars vanilla, and the store lists the Complete Edition as purchasable, which is usually not the case.

I also have all the Batman Arkham games in my queue of games I need to play through, and don't even get me started on the Final Fantasy games. Last one I played was 7, so I think if I focused on just those games, I'd play nothing else this year. Part of my problem too, though, is that if I play the same type of game for too long, I get burned out on it, and can't continue the series without sticking a different genre in between. After spending 30~40 hours on AC: Black Flag, I don't want to sail anymore ships or parkour around a map for a while. So maybe I'll put in something drastically different like a Lego game or Shooter game. I just played straight through all four Wonderboy/Monster World games on PS3/4, by the time I was on the fourth one, I was ready for a genre change.

Well I guess not many people here have bought Project Cars vanilla or Complete Edition. My very uneducated guess is that it may pick up on the fact that you already own the vanilla version and add the DLC to it. Only reason that I think it may not take that way is because the difference between the vanilla and Complete Edition is that you have to specifically have the Complete Edition in order to get the DLC. Take this with a very small grain of salt.

Starting to wonder if I'm going to get my rewards points code now. It's been 2 days since I redeemed...
FYI, last time I redeemed my points for a $10 code on Sony Rewards, I never got an email notification after it was processed. About 5 days later, I checked the site again and looked at my previous transactions and then opened up the associated link with that transaction and got my code. I don't know if that's a new thing or just a glitch on their end.

As an example that I believe may be similar:

I bought Resident Evil 7 Gold Edition digital around black friday. I also "purchased" the normally free DLC, but the PS Store lists the vanilla version, season pass, and (season pass) DLC as unpurchased. In my PS4 library, I have a entry for the gold edition and the free DLC for download. And I have an entry for the vanilla version and the free DLC, but the vanilla entry has a purchase button instead of a download button.

It would appear that I could buy both (¿por qué?) and perhaps download both separately, but with the gold version having access to all the DLC and the vanilla only the free DLC? I don't believe there are separate trophy lists, but are there separate save files? Not sure how all that would work, but I would rather just avoid all that mess and possibly having to re-download if Project Cars is similar.

Is Killzone: Shadowfall for buying?  Never played any of the other games in the series.  Also, would it be pointless to buy the Nathan Drake Collection if I've already played through Uncharted 4?  Will the others seem lacking?

First question: DON'T PLAY IT
Second question: PLAY IT

I had the same thing happen to me. Never received any e-mails not even a conformation e-mail after I put he order in. The code just showed up in my transaction history when I checked it a few days later.

There's a chance it treats the vanilla and Complete Edition of Project Cars as separate purchases. Definitely wouldn't want it to cause another headache like what you described with RE7 vanilla and Gold Edition. I'll try researching and see if there's any clear answers to help avoid any problems.

I loved Killzone. Game gets a lot of hate and I don't know why.

I hate that Uncharted games. They are basically movies with shooting gallery mechanics every once in a while. People love these games and I don't know why.

Killzone gets a lot of hate from a lot of people.

Uncharted is a beloved franchise by the masses.

You should trust that consensus.

My worthless personal opinion because you don't know my tastes? I hate, hate, hate KZ:SF. I resisted buying Horizon Zero Dawn because KZ is that bad. I got it for $20 when it first came out through some crazy sale, and even though I only had 2 games at that time, I couldn't bear playing it.

I own (and still own) and have played all the Uncharteds. I have considered buying the Nathan Drake Collection just to play them again on the PS4. Yeah, they're cinematic. The characters are great, the set pieces are great, it is literally what playing an Indiana Jones movie would be like.

How hard would it have been for Sony to include a "copy" option along with "move" back when they added external drive support?  I just got a second PS4 and having a 500 GB data cap sucks enough as it is but now I'll have to slowly add games to that system.  It's like Sony is allergic to technology sometimes.  Have a little more faith in your digital license infrastructure you  fuck ing luddites.  Damn you and your phenomenal exclusives.  /rant

What would Copy do that Move doesn't do?

Allow me to not have to download every digital game I own over again or have to move my external drive back and forth between systems constantly. XB1 does this beautifully. Heck, I can even copy over my network from one system to another between my three XB1s and bypass using external drives altogether for getting all my games on all my systems.

Edit: Right now I can't have a copy of a game on my internal drive and my external. It's either or. You can move it back and forth all day long but that's it.
