• You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console. Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work. Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.

What is this?

Game prices in the Xbox store have a UTC end date associated with them. These dates generally fall into 5 categories :

1. The item is currently on sale. These are usually the weekly sale items that end Tuesday mornings at 09:59:59 UTC.
2. The item will go on sale, usually within 2-3 weeks. These are usually set to switch at 23:59:59 UTC, like the weekly sale on Monday evenings. Some of the major annual sales (Spring, Summer, Black Friday, Holiday) start on Thursday evening UTC, and some times appear to be random.
3. The item is on Game Pass and is not currently or going to be on sale in the next few weeks. Third party games generally cluster around 09:59:59 UTC on the 1st and 16th of each month. Currently, at least one game is associated with every 1st and 16th through January 2026. The dates then spread out, ending with Human Fall Flat on July 1, 2028.
4. First party and EA Play titles are farther out, starting in 2049, with many in 2799 and 9998.
5. No date - some items do not have a price and so don't have a date. If the item is part of a bundle that has a price, the date from the bundle is used.

The list below uses the dates associated with games on Game Pass and EA Play. Time stamps in red are the regular Game Pass departure times and titles in red are confirmed to be leaving, either from Microsoft's regular news postings or by devs / publishers. Items available through Game Pass Core, currently on sale or not available for purchase are also color coded.

The date associated with a Game Pass game is not a guarantee it will leave on that date, but since March 2023 when the price data started getting analyzed, every game that's left Game Pass had been flagged as leaving on that date. It's given a number of people an extra heads up on the generally 2 week notice Microsoft provides.

on the Xbox Series X in the TV settings i only have one box checked which is the first box i dont see low latency or any other boxes checked or checkable i wanna get the most of out of Series X without having to buy a expensive TV...So i think this TV is only gonna have 4K just not sure that is reaching the full potential of the Series X

I recently picked up the new LG OLED CX model with 120hz, variable refresh and HDR.

Coming from a Samsung LCD 4K 60hz.

120hz isn't going to be too special. I didn't really notice much in Ori, but for the few 3D games that support it, it is definitely nice. But very limited in how it is supported (usually smaller multiplayer maps only), I doubt there will be many 3D games supporting 120hz in the future this gen.

My Samsung claimed to have HDR, but it wasn't true HDR10, it was some sort of simulated HDR. By far the most impressive thing about the LG is the HDR. It's incredible. My wife is playing the same games next to me on the Samsung and the difference is amazing. Colors are so vibrant, anytime you see a sunset in a game, it's incredible.

But I have a feeling that the HDR in my LG might be above average because of the OLED display.

Variable Refresh rate is really nice for eliminating screen tearing. But screen tearing isn't something I have experienced in too many games, or very often, so it's not necessary.

I'd say the biggest improvement you can make is getting a screen that supports HDR10.

I picked this one up because I also use it as my computer monitor. (120hz and Variable refresh is really nice for PC)

I have the 6 series but had the same problem. Was able to fix it by going to options (press *) and setting the Picture size to Direct instead of Auto. Haven’t had the problem since.

I have the same TV and when it happens it seems to be related to turning on HDR and automatically switching on Game Mode. It never happens when I’m actually in a game, so I’ve let it go.

I've had the black screen issue a few times on my 2017 P607. I think the auto HDR has something to do with it. It rarely happens but when it does it happens quite often. A hard reset resolves the issue for a week or so. It seems like switching between true HDR games, auto HDR games, and the home screen creates the issue.

I've tried a few different things that make it seem to stop for a little bit but then it always comes back. Will have to try the picture size adjustment and see if that works for me, haven't seen that before. Only solution I haven't tried is the suggestion to turn hdr off to fix it, which I don't want to do. It's not too bad since it's only happened on the home screen and not all the time. My router and Xbox having trouble communicating is the real problem with randomly getting disconnected from live.

I have one of my external drives as my default download location. Some times there will be a prompt strongly you to install X/S games on the internal. I usually do and i haven’t tried to move them to another drive. I have the Halo collection on an external drive and I don’t even think the enhanced assets downloaded even though it shows X/S on the tile.

It will let you move the Series Enhanced games it just wont let you play them from the external, it is good if you just want to archive them for a while and dont want to potentially download the whole game again. Master Chief Collection is a strange case that is enhanced and will let you play from external, it just wont have the benefit of the fast loads.

Yes, LG OLED has been the gold standard for TV quality for the past few years. The OLED does make a big difference even compared to higher quality LCD that includes HDR.

Unless it's nowhere near someone's budget, I would highly recommend saving/stretching for an OLED instead of LCD.

Its a cheaper Samsung TV so it should be fine, stay away from the higher end TV's as there is major LED bleeding ( I am experiencing this issue and Samsung is refusing to fix it--check their Forums). With Samsung, the cheaper, the better build apparently.

Not going to get anywhere near the $50 for the 5000 points since it's only $5-6 back, but I picked up Rise Of The Tomb Raider 20th for $6 and the Lego Marvel collection for $12. I already owned the first Lego Marvel, but my son spent an hour running around Lego NYC shooting rockets as Iron Man and was really into it. I can't wait to play co-op with him.

I own the LGB7A. I have had it for 2 1/2 years now. The TV is amazing(highlights colorbanding more than other TVs but I got over it) but I do have a little burn in. This was caused by my laptop screen breaking so I had to hook it up to the TV in order to see it. I took my sweet time buying a new one and so the firefox logo and 2 others at the bottom burned in. You can only see it on certain colors like red and green but it's there. I highly doubt any of you are going to be using it as a screen for your computer for many hours a day for weeks though so I wouldn't worry about burn in. Now, if you constantly have on Fox News for like 8 hours a day or a show with a ticker, it might be a concern.

I am currently going through my CC company to get a new one but LG will come out and fix the panel and told me I would only have to pay for the labor which is probably like $100 maybe IDK. I am sure if I made a stink they would cover labor too.

I have played MANY hours of games with static/non moving things and don't have any burn in from those. In fact, the burn in I do have has not been noticed by anyone else that watches the TV. Again, it's at the bottom and can only be seen on a few colors and only if you are looking directly at it. I believe the newer models handle the burn in even better than my years old model. I would recommend an LG OLED with confidence.

I wouldn't go for this TV if you want real functioning HDR. The TU8000 has no local dimming and doesn't have sufficient brightness to actually support a decent HDR picture.

Yup! I even lay on a couch at a weird angle sometimes and don’t notice any issues with angles but I’m no expert.

My wife likes how if you turn on something connected to hdmi and hit input it automatically selects the input that was just turned on.

VA panels are not trash, they have much better contrast ratios than IPS at the expense of off-axis viewing angle. For most people this is a reasonable tradeoff, but it depends on your particular needs.

With good local dimming IPS can get close to the same contrast ratios offered by VA panels without the horrible off axis viewing degradation. I agree, if you plan to look at the TV directly in front then they are serviceable. But if you hang it high like above a fireplace, or have a large room the viewing angles are a glaring weakness.

Side note: I added "in my opinion" as of course TV picture is mostly subjective.

Yeah I think the boxes you're going to want to check on new TV purchases for Series X or PS5 is a lot more than 4k/HDR now. I'd definitely wouldn't upgrade to anything without HDMI 2.1 at this point in time to get the 120 hz and Variable Refresh Rates. Interesting a kind of stop gap TV I have my eye on is from the competitor in the console market. I'm not saying this is a great high end TV or that this is a "budget" option, everyone's budget is different. The 65 inch was already down to $999 a couple times including Black Friday.

I don't know if they increased the odds, but for the first time ever I won something in a T-Mobile Tuesday contest. Granted, it was a $5 giftcard to Target or Walmart, but it's still something! Give it a go if you're a tmo customer and usually don't. 

$14 for Battlefront 2 Celebration Edition is tempting. I know the base game is on Gamepass, but I do still fire it up semi-regularly. With the Clone Wars stuff it feels more like the old games.

Can confirm Monster Train is good. I like the strategy of positioning your troops on different floors. I wasn't feeling it at first, then after maybe the third fight it clicked and got me.

I don't know if they increased the odds, but for the first time ever I won something in a T-Mobile Tuesday contest. Granted, it was a $5 giftcard to Target or Walmart, but it's still something! Give it a go if you're a tmo customer and usually don't.

$14 for Battlefront 2 Celebration Edition is tempting. I know the base game is on Gamepass, but I do still fire it up semi-regularly. With the Clone Wars stuff it feels more like the old games.

Can confirm Monster Train is good. I like the strategy of positioning your troops on different floors. I wasn't feeling it at first, then after maybe the third fight it clicked and got me.

Picked up Yakuza 0 and Kiwami 1. Already have them on PS4 but they seem to be enhanced on the series x .
