Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work. Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.

What is this?

Game prices in the Xbox store have a UTC end date associated with them. These dates generally fall into 5 categories :

1. The item is currently on sale. These are usually the weekly sale items that end Tuesday mornings at 09:59:59 UTC.
2. The item will go on sale, usually within 2-3 weeks. These are usually set to switch at 23:59:59 UTC, like the weekly sale on Monday evenings. Some of the major annual sales (Spring, Summer, Black Friday, Holiday) start on Thursday evening UTC, and some times appear to be random.
3. The item is on Game Pass and is not currently or going to be on sale in the next few weeks. Third party games generally cluster around 09:59:59 UTC on the 1st and 16th of each month. Currently, at least one game is associated with every 1st and 16th through January 2026. The dates then spread out, ending with Human Fall Flat on July 1, 2028.
4. First party and EA Play titles are farther out, starting in 2049, with many in 2799 and 9998.
5. No date - some items do not have a price and so don't have a date. If the item is part of a bundle that has a price, the date from the bundle is used.

The list below uses the dates associated with games on Game Pass and EA Play. Time stamps in red are the regular Game Pass departure times and titles in red are confirmed to be leaving, either from Microsoft's regular news postings or by devs / publishers. Items available through Game Pass Core, currently on sale or not available for purchase are also color coded.

The date associated with a Game Pass game is not a guarantee it will leave on that date, but since March 2023 when the price data started getting analyzed, every game that's left Game Pass had been flagged as leaving on that date. It's given a number of people an extra heads up on the generally 2 week notice Microsoft provides.

I don't know if this is just a fluke but I finally saw a "Just for you" deal while browsing through the Microsoft Store! Like some of you may have seen, it is for select Ubisoft titles. Hopefully I get to see more of these deals in the future.

Finally saw these as well and just pissed me off lol, cause I can get the AC Valhalla Ragnarok edition for $15, which is cheaper than buying Ragnarok by itself for $20, but I bought the regular Gold edition a year ago and still haven't touched it.

I guess it's kind of like the way Oculus/Meta does bundles, where they're discounted further if you already own some of the things in it - except it's not that, because my wife's account has different JFY offers for Far Cry 6 and she owns none of them. I wish double-dipping on bundles you already partly-own would give you codes for those elements to share with other people.

I honestly don't know. That's something I need to catalog, I have all my games owned cataloged but not dlc. At least with ultimate alliance if I want to shell out the money I can get a physical copy with dlc but a lot of the games I've bought physically recently are delisted so I'm out of luck if there's any dlc.

I learned there is a difference between insolvency and bankruptcy....soo yeah if a company is bankrupt there is no money and not even an attempt can be made to save it...with insolvency it seems to be a bit different..

Yeah, if there is no money they can pay out, and no assets they can seize then you're just out of luck unless somehow some assets are discovered. Depending on how the company was formed, the owners are typically protected with their personal assets unless they obviously just gave themselves a huge payday right before declaring insolvency. That's the sort of thing Alex Jones is trying to pull, along with paying a bunch of shell companies "owned" by relatives on some sketchy "invoices". The courts are less than pleased. Turns out when your trade is terrorizing parents of children killed in school shootings, finding competent legal representation to advise you is somewhat difficult.

But the OP, they want MORE work after declaring and not paying you for what you already did? Yeah, don't fall for that one unless they can actually prove they have a contract that will deliver to pay you completely back in the short term. And even then, it might be negotiation time on how much your good faith to soldier on is worth to them. And even if things do work out ok, it is definitely time to look elsewhere, as a business that dips into the red like that is not a stable, dependable business model.

Are you playing it with other people or are you soloing? I find MH really repetitive. But it did cause me to take another look at God Eater, which I previously found too confusing. I'm mulling over buying the third one on Steam while it's currently on sale.

Played solo all the way until I unlocked the soft ending before Sunbreak. Basically I'm just farming parts now for the gear/decos with other players until next month. I'm a little surprised that either people are just better at this game vs MHW, or they made it way easier because my experience with groups has been pretty fantastic. We just smash and grab everything, complete PUGs w/ no faints most of the time. Gunlance becomes pretty godly once you have access to bagelgoose armor, so adding people makes it a cakewalk.

Might be different under European law, but in the US insolvency is merely being unable to pay one's debts while bankruptcy is a legal declaration that one can't pay their debts, requesting assistance from the courts to do so. If you've declared bankruptcy, you're insolvent, but you can be insolvent without making the bankruptcy declaration. Maybe they're trying to get some funding to avoid making the declaration.

My $10 auto redeem went through today without issue.

Completed Telling Lies. Wanted to finish it before the month rolled over for me, so just went to the key word list find the last 20 or so videos. Some of the keywords returned 1 or 2 videos I had already seen, so I was doing decent searches. Made the mistake of doing a nearly complete upload to see if there was an alternate ending before the full one. Credits run a long time, and can't be skipped on PC without quitting out. Had already seen 2 endings, but didn't get the 3rd, even after doing the full upload (watched it on YouTube). Upload finished at 11:59pm, credits started and achievement popped at 12:07am. Counting that as my January completion.

Found a YouTube video that puts the conversations side by side and in order, will watch that. I believe I saw the last couple chronological videos, definitely the last one, but I feel I'm missing some context that lead up to it.

Also finished off the TA targets earlier. So much for finishing them earlier in the month. Maybe February will be different. Similar sentiment to be posted in 4 weeks.

I went through the list of keywords from the TA walkthrough for Telling Lies and was short several entries in the database, so I went back through all of them (that was as fun as it sounds) and I still ended up at 168/170. Also, I saw the cutscene where the cat walks across the keyboard but I didn't get the achievement so I had to manually type in the cat's message to get that achievement, so unless it comes back to GP I'll be at 910/1000 for that game.

I had that happen once but it was only with $20 dollar in rewards credit, I let it sit there for awhile and they never caught it so I redeemed the points again and used the $20 dollars in rewards credit that I accidentally got too

In the XBox console marketplace in Games under Deals just scroll just one notch down from the main splash page for the deals and there should be a category of "JUST FOR YOU" (usually in a pink tag) with some games listed if they're available to you. Like I said before, this is first time I've gotten them and only reoccurring thing for these current deals is it's all Ubisoft focused and everyone has different games (I Have two different versions of Ghost Recon Wildlands and two different versions of Rainbow 6 listed in mine).

This game is making me wonder if studios will dial down the hype train in the future. Hi-Fi came out with no fanfare, shadowdropped onto Game Pass, and everyone is excited for it due to word of mouth from actually playing the game. I purchased a code for Raiden IV Remix and got the restriction error when trying to redeem. Reconnected to the same VPN and it worked second try.

I’m not sure about which account you should buy from. I only use my one. If you get the Digital Deluxe version, you’ll be able to play on the 7th.

Ain't nobody got time for that. Button mashing as fast as I can has gotten me through the first couple of parry levels. I hope I can just keep doing that and don't have to actually get good at parrying

I know I'm super behind, but finally finished The Devil In Me tonight and I gotta say I think it was the best game in the Dark Pictures Anthology by far. Wasn't perfect and still wasn't nearly as good as The Quarry or Until Dawn but still really enjoyed it. Looking forward to Season 2

Emulation is the way to go for many of the older games being delisted. The newer Xbox versions sometimes don't hold up. On Retroarch Mame I can play the original Daytona.

I agree of course. I got Daytona back when it came out on 360 (2011) and back then Retro arch was not a thing. I have used Mame on PC for decades now. The nice thing about XBLA was you could easily play these arcade games online with your friends or random people. That was so much fun with Konami titles like X-Men and The Simpsons. A lot of these games are delisted now.

Also on the list of the titles that are getting removed from the 360 marketplace that were fun arcade games is Final Fight Double Impact. In that game random people could join your play through of Final Fight/Magic Sword which was cool. You can get the same experience with the Capcom Beat em up bundle now so not sure it is worth picking up Double Impact at this point.

I have come to despise QTEs mostly in modern games because they love to throw then in too much in my opinion. QTE placement in a game needs to be predictable for me or it becomes an annoyance real fast.

The tutorial and the ground enemies aren't even the problem, it's the damn aerial ones that you have to parry perfectly or you can't move on. Hopefully they do something about it after seeing how many people quit the game at that point.

I really liked Infernax if your into the let's make something "old school" like Shovel Knight or The Messenger. Has a Castlevania 2 Simon's Quest vibe.

Yeah the parry sucks, especially the aerial and enraged enemies. I ended up having to take a break and come back the next day.

My only other suggestion for improvement if there’s another game is the stage length. Granted I take my time to look for secrets/hidden items, but a few of the levels had a time of over an hour to finish. Not being able to get to all the areas in an initial play through and no apparent fast travel spots means replaying long levels (unless I’m missing something).

I’ve actually gotten okay-ish at parrying in Hi-FI Rush, my problem is the QTEs when you have to smash a button or something. Hate how you can get through like half of it and miss one button and fail.

I'm just in the hideout after the first stage, so I haven't gotten to any parry situations yet. But I also like to root stuff out and spent a bit of time trying to get into that room blocked by flame just before the first boss. Eventually gave up and figured it was intended for another run through with more abilities. I think my time on the first stage was 81 minutes.

Surprised that Crossfire X is leaving. I know it didn't review well at all, but wasn't that announced as a huge gamepass exclusive? Hadn't played it and don't really plan to considering the reviews for it, but still surprised it's leaving
