• You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console. Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work. Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
• Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
  On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold. You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.

What is this?

Game prices in the Xbox store have a UTC end date associated with them. These dates generally fall into 5 categories :

1. The item is currently on sale. These are usually the weekly sale items that end Tuesday mornings at 09:59:59 UTC.
2. The item will go on sale, usually within 2-3 weeks. These are usually set to switch at 23:59:59 UTC, like the weekly sale on Monday evenings. Some of the major annual sales (Spring, Summer, Black Friday, Holiday) start on Thursday evening UTC, and some times appear to be random.
3. The item is on Game Pass and is not currently or going to be on sale in the next few weeks. Third party games generally cluster around 09:59:59 UTC on the 1st and 16th of each month. Currently, at least one game is associated with every 1st and 16th through January 2026. The dates then spread out, ending with Human Fall Flat on July 1, 2028.
4. First party and EA Play titles are farther out, starting in 2049, with many in 2799 and 9998.
5. No date - some items do not have a price and so don't have a date. If the item is part of a bundle that has a price, the date from the bundle is used.

The list below uses the dates associated with games on Game Pass and EA Play. Time stamps in red are the regular Game Pass departure times and titles in red are confirmed to be leaving, either from Microsoft's regular news postings or by devs / publishers. Items available through Game Pass Core, currently on sale or not available for purchase are also color coded.

The date associated with a Game Pass game is not a guarantee it will leave on that date, but since March 2023 when the price data started getting analyzed, every game that's left Game Pass had been flagged as leaving on that date. It's given a number of people an extra heads up on the generally 2 week notice Microsoft provides.

Looking at the Weekly set punchcard right now and it says Launch rewards app 3 separate days.

Same as last week as I did not get any achievements last week, I am currently on a 4 week streak.

EDIT: I am talking about the punchcard in the rewards app, not the Game Pass quests.

Just checked, and it is Launch Rewards app three separate days again. This and the GP Quests both reset on Tuesday, at least for us in the US.

The better not pulling NORCO and Human Fall Flat from GP. At least the Xbox Version of NORCO only joined in November while the PC Version is there for a year now. As for Human Fall Flat...it feels like this one has been on the service forever and it would be sad to see it go..on the other side, I did say if it ever leaves GP I will just buy because they were putting in so many free updates over those years.

As for Human Fall Flat...it feels like this one has been on the service forever and it would be sad to see it go..on the other side, I did say if it ever leaves GP I will just buy because they were putting in so many free updates over those years.

From what I've observed so far (I could be wrong), usually anytime a new platform is added to an existing game pass game, it gets an extended stay based on the latest drop. In the case of Norco, it'll probably leave in November.

Looking at the Weekly set punchcard right now and it says Launch rewards app 3 separate days.

Same as last week as I did not get any achievements last week, I am currently on a 4 week streak.

It might be related to the AMEM not working, so they're just doing daily logins in back to back weeks.

I couldn't get the punch card to activate and I tried multiple time. I'm playing though Halo Infinite coop with some friends so I figured I could get some easy achievements in it and none of the achievements are registering for that game.

I also had the rewards app tell me my weekly streak was missed and I started over at 1. When I finished it yesterday it congratulated me on finishing 89 weeks. So there are definitely some glitches still with the rewards program.

Glad I didn't have to start over.

Sonic Frontiers has been a mostly chill game.  You can buy some of the keys/upgrade materials from the fishing minigame if you have trouble with something or don't feel like searching the bad pop-in for where the path to the collectibles start.  You can't do that for everything, but helps finish up an area if you need a little more stuffs to unlock the boss for the area.

The bosses are pretty annoying.  Most of them have a 1 hit kill mechanic that starts the fight over and some of that is button mashing X really fast.  I dusted off the turbo controller from my 360 to get through those because my fingers didn't like that.  (I have an adapter that allows 360 controllers on X1/SX)

Dualsense is definitely more expensive to produce. Haptic motors, touchpad, the trigger mechanisms, gyro, internal battery. Is it that much more expensive that it needs to be more expensive, with rare sales? Hard to say.

Xbox controllers have had very minor changes since 2013, so I imagine they've got manufacturing and materials down as low as possible.

Already got my tickets for when they're in Atlanta so I can end Dragon Con on a brutal note. They'll also be in my Colorado, but I've seen them live enough that I'm fine seeing them once on this tour.

Are you asking about Warhammer Fantasy or 40k? I was a big 40k guy back in the day, and there’s three games I played that I felt really captured the spirit of the thing. Dawn of War 1&2 on PC were great RTS games that focused on a fixed number of units rather than Zerg rushing, so it felt like the most like playing on the tabletop. On the 360, Space Marine really made you feel like a marine blasting the hell out of orks. Sadly, it isn’t BC, but there is a sequel in the works.

Not to mention that Microsoft never advertised this as a feature or offered support in any official way. It was always a loophole and I'm very surprised it lasted as long as it did. Were we talking about the removal of an advertised feature, like the removal of the ability to install Linux on PS3, I can understand why people are getting upset. You can still do this through dev mode, and yes, that costs $20. But, again, this isn't what dev mode was created for so you have to treat it as the unintended outcome it is rather than a core feature of the Xbox.

I have more of an issue with them remotely killing apps you installed in your console already, I get killing the ability to get download but disabling for people who already had it in their machines is a bad look

I'll play it with friends. 30fps might be almost noticeable to me if I swap between modes, but I won't care if I don't play it running better. 60FPS will be patched in later, so it's not like they have given up on it.

Same here, never used to bother me, used to just care about graphics being as high as possible. We got a 120hz tv at Christmas with vrr and boy does it make a difference, 60 is my minimum now

Guess nobody will buy it. Oh wait, nobody was going to buy it because it’s on game pass. See, this is the problem with subscription services. Microsoft doesn’t care because they already have your money.

How is this on Microsoft exactly? Do you really think they are trying to sabotage the game on purpose or something? Arkane was a 3rd party studio when MS acquired them. MS delayed the game one year already. What do you want MS to do? Delay the game again?

I think covid really hurt a lot of studios and we are seeing the repercussions of that now, every major AAA game from every platform has been delayed. Making games ain't easy. Just take a chill. I've already said that people need to avoid trying to play games on launch day. People who play a game after it's been all patched up have a much better experience than people who play a game day 1. Just look at Cyberpunk 2077 for example. 3 years later it's like playing two different games and it's still continually being improved upon to this day.
