  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console. Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work. Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
    On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold. You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
  • On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold. Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

What is this?
Game prices in the Xbox store have a UTC end date associated with them. These dates generally fall into 5 categories :
  1. The item is currently on sale. These are usually the weekly sale items that end Tuesday mornings at 09:59:59 UTC.
  2. The item will go on sale, usually within 2-3 weeks. These are usually set to switch at 23:59:59 UTC, like the weekly sale on Monday evenings. Some of the major annual sales (Spring, Summer, Black Friday, Holiday) start on Thursday evening UTC, and some times appear to be random.
  3. The item is on Game Pass and is not currently or going to be on sale in the next few weeks. Third party games generally cluster around 09:59:59 UTC on the 1st and 16th of each month. Currently, at least one game is associated with every 1st and 16th through January 2026. The dates then spread out, ending with Human Fall Flat on July 1, 2028.
  4. First party and EA Play titles are farther out, starting in 2049, with many in 2799 and 9998.
  5. No date - some items do not have a price and so don't have a date. If the item is part of a bundle that has a price, the date from the bundle is used.
The list below uses the dates associated with games on Game Pass and EA Play. Time stamps in red are the regular Game Pass departure times and titles in red are confirmed to be leaving, either from Microsoft's regular news postings or by devs / publishers. Items available through Game Pass Core, currently on sale or not available for purchase are also color coded.

The date associated with a Game Pass game is not a guarantee it will leave on that date, but since March 2023 when the price data started getting analyzed, every game that's left Game Pass had been flagged as leaving on that date. It's given a number of people an extra heads up on the generally 2 week notice Microsoft provides.

It is definitely more fun playing coop. I used Robin during my entire play through and my friend used Nightwing. I played about 75% of the campaign coop and we also completed the first free challenge mode. There are some neat coop moves you can do in the game.

The only thing really missing from the game is a counter/takedown move.
If they added a counter/takedown move I think the game would have been so much better.

It was a fundamental part of the Batman games and even the Spider-man games. I don't understand why they didn't include it.

 
I probably jumped the gun considering black friday coming up, but got a second Series X for about $350 after tax from Dell rewards points.  With the spaceship game apparently gone I thought the current sale price of $450 off is good enough to pull the trigger on

Occasionally AWA takes a break from the weekly spaceship game and gives daily quests like these, but you can probably expect the other to come back soon.

 
Just tried out Overhelm on PC since it’s only supposed to take between one to 2 hours. Nope. Too hard for me. Get hit once and you’re dead. I don’t have the patience for that like I did as a kid with my NES.
 
I have a few questions for the 360 owners who own multiple 360s.

I have a second 360 system that I was planning to mod, but I came to the conclusion after researching it that, other than having built a few Raspberry Pi-type micro-computers, I don't really have the kind of electronics skills that I would need to successfully do it.

So, I would like to purchase some cheap digital 360 games this week from the sale and download them to that second 360, but I don't want to do anything dumb that would get me banned from using Microsoft Rewards or using Xbox Live.

Here's what I'm wondering:

1. I'm considering creating a second Microsoft account with a different email address and then buying Microsoft credit to buy the games from the 360 store and download them on the second console.  What is the worst that can happen from having two Microsoft accounts?  Rather, can having two accounts with two different emails get me banned?

2. Is it a bad idea to use the second account to do daily searches and the like to earn Microsoft Rewards points from now until the 360 store closes down?

3. Can I use the external hard drive from my first 360 system that already has games on it on the second 360 system with or without creating a new Microsoft account?  And by doing so, could I ruin the external hard drive? The second 360 already has either a 250 gb or a 320 gb internal hard drive, but there's nothing on it but saves from disc games.

Thank you in advance to anyone who can provide constructive answers to these questions.

1. You'll be fine.

2. They used to care about that, but not anymore and even then worse they ever did was ban the second account, but it was lifted and they haven't cared since.

3. You may need to do a license transfer which you're allowed to do every few months for the 360, but it just transfers all your 360 purchase license to work on a different console.

Just want to highlight #3 on here. You can do that an unlimited amount of times and everyone would do well to start now if you have multiple consoles. It's a great method for preserving purchases and for achievement hunters you won't need to buy multiple game copies for boosting

Thanks for taking the time to answer, guys. I will probably skip doing the license transfer in this case since I just want to have a second working 360 with a second set of digital games on the internal hard drive. That probably makes no sense to anyone, but I already have a Switch and a Switch Lite with two separate eShop accounts and game libraries as well which also makes no sense.

You're right, that does make no sense, but then again you're in a place where people buy games with little chance of playing them or better yet, buy multiples of games they'll never play.

Good deal. My one X I had in y bedroom had been showing it age in the last year and a last month I went ahead and replaced it with another Series X. Part of why I went ahead and got it was because I didn’t want to wait for the One X to die and have no trade in value and my second reason was I didn’t want to deal with getting one during the holidays.
 
Looks like I’ll end up finishing the Diablo 4 battle pass before it ends.  I don’t understand the leveling in this game.  I’m level 63 and haven’t gotten an item upgrade in forever,  It takes so long to level that it feels like I’ll never get a character to 100.  I completed the level 70 capstone dungeon and went into a WT4 hell tide and got 1 shotted.

Definitely putting the game away until some expansions are out.

So I was reminded by previews today that Lords of the Fallen 2 is out in ten days and dammit I think they got me. Well, more like Lies of P set the stage and now I can't resist, though I'm still a bit worried about the lantern gimmick. Going to wait on some more previews, or hopefully some reviews but I'm pretty sure I won't be able to pass up playing a grim dark game on Friday the 13th in October. Now I just need to finish this playthrough of LoP and once more to finish all achievements. If LotF is even half as good, it'll be insane that two excellent souls-likes will have released within a month of each other.

This year needs to fucking chill already so I can keep up!

Would banning the second account be limited to just Rewards, or would it potentially impact the Xbox tag associated with the email?

I currently have 3 extra tags for boosting (considering adding 4 more), but have been leery about using Rewards for them. Had GPU on a couple of them and would get "see what you could earn" pop ups from dailies when I'd start up a Gears game with them. Considered using Rewards on a couple of the secondary accounts just to have them do the monthly GPU auto-redeem (particularly now that monthly trials have gotten a lot pricier).

Should searches with the secondary accounts be done on different devices or incognito mode? I guess it ultimately wouldn't matter much since they'd all mostly be coming from the same IP address when viewed from the outside.

 
I beat the Diablo 4 campaign before they revoked the keys from that price error. Based on everything I've heard about the endgame it sounds like I played the best part of the game and ain't missing much.

 
I don’t know if it helps that we have different names, but I manage my GF’s rewards account and use them on myself. I will almost always do both of our searches and activities back to back and on the same devices. When I want a game (unless it’s a deal with gold) I’ll redeem points on her account and gift the game to my account. Been going on like this for at least a few years now with no problems

I've stopped playing Diablo 4 at level 80 and 81 with two characters now. That grind from 80 to 100 doing the same thing over and over again just doesn't seem like something I want to do.

For me it happened yeeeears ago like nearly a decade, but from what I remember at the time it only impacted the Rewards account, which holy shit I got lucky because that one was the main XBox account. Though during the Oman wars, only that XBox account got affected, but the Rewards one still lived on and eventually within a few months it got unbanned on XBox with no heads up.

And I think they changed the policy a few years back where you could have multiple Rewards accounts per household when back then it was limited to one I think.

I think I remember seeing somewhere in their rules about same household accounts, but their current rules say you can't have multiple accounts.

Account Policies

However, if you engage in any of the following activities, your account will be called into question, and you may lose the ability to earn or redeem Rewards points. Depending on the violation, your account could be suspended, and any points earned may be invalidated.

  • Set up and maintain multiple user accounts.
  • Provide inaccurate account information, such as a false name, an incomplete or inaccurate mailing address, a nonworking phone number, or a false email address.
  • Use a service intended to alter the true IP address of your location, use a bot, cheat code, macro, mobile emulator, or other automated method to earn points with Microsoft Rewards.

No idea how well they could differentiate between multiple accounts for the same person vs. different members of the same household. Though me naming my extra accounts "Bloomy Backup" could be a red flag.

I went through all their help pages, and the only reference household was on the page for redeeming points, which says there is a maximum of 6 accounts per household for associating accounts to a phone number.

It looks like also they instituted automatic enrollment to rewards that began at the end of September.

Thanks for the info on extra rewards accounts for those that posted.  I had avoided doing anything with mine as it would be pretty devestating to get locked out of a 16 year old gamer tag.  I also like to keep a 100k points balance just in case a good deal comes up

Finished first run of Separate Ways DLC for RE4 Remake.  Gets a 9 from me.  Now to S+ on Professional!

 
I really, REALLY wanted to love Diablo 4, but I just...don't. It never got its hooks in me the way 3 did.

I went into it super excited to find cool builds and get every class to max level, and I've still not gotten even 1 to 100 yet. I think my max is like 62. I sometimes turn on the game, do a nightmare dungeon or a regular dungeon on an alt I started (thinking it might be more fun) and then I get bored and turn it off. Or I get to lagging so badly that it's unplayable entirely.

I also don't think it needed to have the open world or multiplayer/always online stuff. Maybe I just need to stick with 3, and eventually try 2.

I got my key revoked, went on to purchase it abd co-op play it with my kid... But we both got bored around the high 20's level that we quit... It's such a slog! Bring back Diablo 2... Who the f needs to grind to level 100?? Not me, I ain't got time for dat!!!
 
Gamer Dad moment: my eight year old daughter is now playing Sea of Stars because she enjoyed watching me play it.

Makes me happy since that’s the first time any of the kids has picked up an RPG.

I played a bit more of Gotham Knights and I think it's fine. Between the timed attacks and momentum skills I think combat is pretty fast. If you feel enemies are too spongey you can always set the difficulty to easy. The game is not trying to be like the Batman Arkham games, it's very much doing it's own thing. The exact same way that the Yakuza games pivoted from an action brawler to an RPG.

Performance on Series X is rock solid that you don't really notice the lack of 60 FPS too much.

AC Mirage looks like what I want from a new AC game. Looking at the gameplay it seems fun and think the graphics are nice as well. Will definitely pick it up in the new year or spring sale when it hits 30 bucks.Too busy with Starfield and Cyberpunk atm to jump in now

Well I think I'm going to have to buy that High on Life gamepass bundle. 15.99 for the game and dlc is too much of a deal for me to resist

I am tempted too but for about an hour yesterday, it was accidentally on sale for another 50% off at $8. Had it in my cart but checked out too late. Now $16 feels too much lol

Thanks for pointing this out today. That is a great bundle. I really enjoyed the game on gamepass except for a few achievement glitches.

I will pick this bundle up. Really surprised they include the full game and DLC for $15.99 if you have gamepass.
$19.99 if you don't have gamepass.

I know it just came out, but looking for impressions of the Phantom Liberty dlc for cyberpunk. I’ve owned the base game for a while now. I’m getting close to finishing my current mainline game and will be looking for something else to play. Since I’ve never played CP, is the dlc really that game changing for the main game? Not sure if I should use rewards to pay 3x what I paid for the game to get the dlc to play now, or just wait for an inevitable discount on the dlc and keep the game shelved till then. Or play now, since I’m in the mood, and not bother with the dlc?

Well, this is an interesting conundrum. Pay for a game that is currently on Game Pass and hope the DLC goes on sale before the game leaves OR buy a game on Game Pass with the DLC for pretty cheap and not be on the clock to play it. This seems like a test case for some reason.

Sigh, I saw that as I booted up LoP last night and I installed it. Happy to report if you played on PC Game Pass, all the stuff is there from cosmetics to characters. Unhappy to report that within just minutes of me messing around between two characters to see what new hairstyles and stuff they added, the game crashed. It's laughable to me that a YEAR LATER they still have the stability of Britney Spears in a trampoline factory. Not even worth my time to look up builds at this point.

 
Question for Bloomy: 

Will Rocksmith 2014 Edition Remastered and DLC be delisted as well or is it just Rocksmith 2014 and its DLC? I have 2014 Remastered for XB1 and I’m looking into getting some song packs.

 
I might have to jump on a bunch of RS dlc before the delisting. I was trying to look up info on it, but everything I could find was either a dead link or redirect to the new GaaS version of the game. I’d like to know how long I have before I need to engage panic mode
