GOG Deals Thread

I bought Venetica since it was on my wishlist and 90% off. Any recommendations for games that are at solid discounts? Some others people may like are Stranglehold and Legacy of Kain series/Soul Reaver series.

A lot of the usual suspects, basically:
-> All the classic Hitman games (Hitman SA up to Absolution) and Freedom Fighters are a steal.
-> Hitman: Absolution - do note, it's been free before on GOG on giveaway once.
-> Venetica's underrated, even if that been free before on GOG - still worth $1 easy.
-> Thief games (Thief 1-3) are all classic.
-> Stranglehold's a good third-person shooter and gives me Max Payne type of gameplay (Bullet-Time) & John Woo vibes.
-> Mad Max is good too. Despite repetition, that Arkham-style hand-to-hand combat, car combat & the game runs great.

If you want to go DRM-FREE especially and/or you really need offline installers (For offline installs and boots) - grab those on GOG.

I'd always suggest checking PC Gaming Wiki and check to see what DRM other versions have (or don't have).

Grab any of the really cheap ones that you want to or need to have working single-player style and offline - especially if you go mobile, travel, and/or can't always get an Internet connection. Namely, that's to get away from required-service crap (Steam Stub, CEG, Epic Client DRM Requirement, etc elsewhere). So, stuff like Tomb Raider (2013), Thief: Definitive (2014), Hitman: Absolution, and Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor & War would fit that bill.

Also, I also try to get anything on GOG that has Denuvo or other garbage of that sort elsewhere (on Steam, Epic, etc) - so, something basically like Mad Max would fit that bill (still got Denuvo on Steam).

The Halloween sale ends tonight. Users who are subscribed to their email newsletter should have gotten a coupon code for $2 off a $10 total of Halloween sale games. You can use it twice and it looks like a generic code - it starts with "Halloween" - so check your email if you want to use it.

Does anybody have any opinions or would recommend Gothic or Arx Fatalis at these prices? Also as far as Gothic is concerned, assuming it's a worthwhile game, I'm also wondering if it wouldn't be more cost effective to get the 3-pack on Steam, which is currently $20 but that I would wait for a sale on if anybody thinks that a sale on these games would be forthcoming.
Gothic and its sequel Gothic 2 are stellar games - if you're able to ignore and/or patch out early 2000s Eastern European game controls and errors. They were some of my favorite gaming experiences, but are marred by their development.
