Where is the weekly ad?
They ended the weekly ad for more rotation of deals. Please check the homepage and deal link for the current deals.

I can't find a trade in value for an item?
It might not be tradable or calling a store to find the value may be the only option.

How many copies of a game can I trade in?
You are allowed to trade in 4 copies of the same game (same system) within a rolling 30 day period.

Are there trade limits?
Yes, $500 cash minus some electronic trade ins and or $2000 trade credit in a rolling 30 day period.

Can I use the $5 monthly coupon on gift cards?

Yes you can in store but not online please note not all gift cards will apply to this rule.

I have a $XX.xx pre-owned reward certificate, and I want to use it on a B2G1 transaction. Should I?
It depends. If the three games are equal value, do not use your certificate. The value of the certificate would be applied to the free game, which would not benefit you. If one game is more expensive, you can use the certificate to make it the same value as the other two games ($5 reward certificate applied to transaction with two $10 games and one $15 game would make all three games $10).


TERMINOLOGY AND LINGO:
ASL/SL: Assistant Store Leader, Store Leader; manager positions at GS.
B2G1: Buy two, get one free.
GS: GameStop
JD: Junior detective, an employee who is out to get someone
LP: Loss Prevention; this is the department that actually bans accounts after being flagged.
TC/TiC: Trade credit.
TIV/TV: Trade in value, or what a game currently trades for. When posting a TV for a game, always use the base value.

Looks like my subscription ended. It stated it was the 8th and its still the 7th here. I took that as I had all day on the 8th to renew. Oh well. Can I use my $5 monthly towards the renewal and then use my points to get a $5 online and then use the FIVEOFFPRO coupon all on the pro sub? I have a $5 off pro membership in store only along with my $5 monthly under my active offers so if I can use those on store too and maybe the employee lets me use my points and $5 monthly to renew in store instead?

Double-checked on my end. Apparently, you have to swipe left to see the other coupons...whoever designs the app and issues the coupons...ya'll need to go find another job. Also removing the price filter option on the app is very scummy.

I'm going to be swiping on everything now to discover "the secret powerups". Wish they showed point history/expiration on the app again. Lost a few bucks because of it back in the days.
 
I got good coupons this time. 25% off one preowned game, 30% extra on games, $30 on consoles. Now to see if anywhere around me or where I'll be traveling this weekend might have an already-traded copy of Echoes of Wisdom for the hubby.

Well I guess nobody knows here and I totally spaced on going in today and since today is the last day, I'm not sure my coupons and stuff will be there tomorrow so I'll have to renew tonight if I'm going to renew and just see what happens.

I would've advised you to contact customer service or call/visit in-store GSAs with your hyper-specific dilemma. It seems to me that you knew exactly what you wanted to do, yet you chose not to act until the very last day which ended up not going in your favor or as you planned. I don't quite understand why you kept waiting, but not to worry tho because remember you have 45 days before your points expire altho unsure about your $5 October voucher since it may be tied to an active Pro account. Where you're at right now, I would once again suggest to just cash-in and wait til Black Friday before renewing.
 
Is the pro only being sold in store or will they go live online too? 6 per store seems pretty low. Now it looks like Sony is limiting supply. Direct now shows sold out for the pro. I have 1 pre ordered on direct but I really want to use my trade credit. I might be screwed if they don't go live online.

they have a listing online that says coming soon. I would assume that is what that is for since you can't order an item for pickup or ship to home before it is released.
 
Wow, they nuked trade in values even more for the PS5 and Series X. $275.00 for the digital and $302.50. They are really trying to take advantage of people wanting to trade up to upgrade. I'll hold on to my PS5 if that value stays.

Yikes. Sounds like they got too many from the $410 boost sale. Gotta wait until November folks
 
Slim ps5 trade value may recover, only a few thousand pre-owned/refurbs of those (75k new ones), but non-slim is doubtful since they have 15k pre-owned/refurb units. Possible they will sell through a bunch as the holidays go on.

I am hoping the trade in value can get back to around $380 range. Hopefully sales of the Pro will slow down after Christmas and there will be better offer.
 
I tried to use my monthly $5 on a preowned x1 game yesterday. The $4.99 one didn't work and then the 6.99 one didn't work. It was the same employee both times, seemed fairly competent. He said that Gamestop may have changed it to only apply to higher priced games. He said that the monthly coupon would not apply. I'm assuming he made a mistake since I also had a $5 off membership coupon maybe he accidentally applied that one to the game. Has anyone successfully redeemed the october monthly coup for a $5 or less item?

100% they are trying to apply that other coupon.

The 6.99 one should've worked. I picked up a 9.99 game (8.99 thanks to the 10% off pre-owned "Double Pro Week" promo) just last week and paid only like $4.25 oop. GS system is screwy. The last day of September issued the October voucher. I tried to apply it to cart but to no avail. Even a couple days into October the $5 voucher still didn't work. YMMV when dealing with GS RNG. Another good reason to stop subbing to Pro - is to be treated as anything but.

Hope is lying to yourself and leading yourself on. Should've taken the opportunity when the base PS5 trade value was at its highest. IIRC, this was also before the official announcement of the PS5 Pro. Because the PS5 Pro is real now, and GS has already gotten their ample restock of pre-owned PS5 consoles thru trade-ins, expect trade values to dip like NCAA 14 did. If it were me, I would trade-in around Black Friday and avoid risking Xmas week.

New Pro renewal offer $10 off only applies to buying new games released from July 2024 to now. Previous renewal offer was light years better for any new game.
 
Would there be a problem if I try to trade in an originally bought slim Disc ps5 without the drive? I would swap the plate with a digital plate and take it in as digital slim ps5.
 
walked into a store after work, around 3:30 pm central, and was preorder #4 for the pro, the first 2 were people that worked there. now i can cancel the one from sony and just have to scrape up about $350 in trade ins to have it completely paid off.

If there is no deal I am just going to wait for a special edition Pro of Death Stranding 2, Wolverine, or Ghosts of Yotei next year

Our only hope is lackluster sales. Then maybe they'll do a special trade up promotion for a Pro. I have 1 pre-ordered just in case but if no promo. I'll buy my Pro elsewhere and wait for trade values to go back up.

It's pretty bare bones honestly, but I like the gameplay more than Madden (didn't play this years Madden at all though). It's a touch faster paced. I'm not a big Ultimate Team fan, which is a large component of the game, and I'm also not a big online head to head fan either, so once you do a season with your team and play with a player going up the ranks there's not much left to do. I got my fill and it was exciting to have a college football game again. I'd say if it's $30-$35 it's worth it especially if you enjoy sports games.

Might have to wait even longer because of scalpers. Tho I doubt Yotei consoles would be oos due to controversial reasons. A PS5 Pro representative of Hugh Jackman and Norman Reedus, most definitely! Erika Ishii, especially without Jin Sakai, not really.

They know, but they won't give $410 again. It makes least business financial sense. If anything, they could capitalize on the FOMO and possibly go as far as offer less than current TIV especially with the Holidays right around the corner. People frantically shopping around this time want the deals, discounts, and promotions even if they're not the best.
 
Because no one preordered it. With more digital games being sold than physical, publishers print discs as needed, and retailers only order as many as they expect to sell without inventory sitting around waiting around for markdown. Preorders are going to be even more important as other retailers like Best Buy look to dump physical media.
