Normally you would click on my username under my picture. It would then have an option to start a conversation. I’m not sure if it’s because you’re new. You could also click the mail icon in the top right to start a conversation. I tried that but it says I can’t send you a message when I try. Did you verify your email? I thought the only restriction on new users was creating a thread. The site news here isn't always that up to date so maybe it has changed. I would say ask a mod but if you can’t send messages I don’t know how you would.
