It was announced last August, I think, and set to release this July. So it's still months away.

Ah. Was it an official release or LRG special edition? This is the first time I ever heard of it. Thought it may have been official since it was on amazon.

It's one of those exclusive LRG collectors edition, like they did with Dead Space, etc., but it was available for preorder from LRG on Amazon before. I don't know if it sold out immediately when it went up last year or they changed it to not available until now since the release is closer.

Super weird to release the game many months later when the hype totally died down. The game will be $20 soon. I did look at the CE bonuses and they look super cool! I grew up playing Sonic Adventures on dreamcast. Oh the good old days with Power stone, ready 2 rumble, and VMUs!

Three years after the initial release of Salt and Sacrifice and not even a PS5 version is kind of silly. The game has been as cheap as $7 digital at this point. This is one of those if you announced it two years ago I would have been all over it but now it is a easy pass.

I'm kind of disappointed because it doesn't look like there is going to be a game I'm interested in ordering to pair with Jedi Power Battles.

I can't be the only one who saw these announcements and said wow these are things I never will want ever. I did play Under Defeat ages ago on PS3 and it was OK, but I wouldn't play it now.

Weird there is no dual pack for PS4 version.

Sell preorders on NS version.

Wait a few months.

Hell I still have my Dreamcast limited edition copy I preordered from Play Asia back in the day.

I love Under Defeat. I used to have it for the Dreamcast, bought it from good old ncsx. Actually, I just ordered the Japanese PS5 version 2 days ago from playasia. It was cheaper and most of my shmups are Japanese versions, so I'm okay skipping this version. I wish someone would port Border Down, I liked that even more than Under Defeat.

The Shmup community is small but passionate, but in general yeah - it feels like it's been a hot minute since they've had a big notable release. Not bothered though, I'm glad their longer-term partners haven't gone all-in on them for distribution; happy to just pick up stuff like Suikoden from Konami or the Pirate Yakuza game from Sega without the middleman hassle.

Is there a PS5 version or is it PS4 back compatible?

Code for anyone who wants it (it's a 12 digit alphanumeric code, adding special characters to prevent it from being nabbed by a bot): Z[L]KU-H{CE}P-8**JV*X*

Got Gunbrick and Supraland for $31 shipped ($10.50 each + shipping/tax). Actual LRG sales, this is the way it should be.

Picked up a few games I passed on last time like Gunbrick and Sami Roll. The Sega arcade looks interesting but shipping for it is too damn much.

BTW, If you're a GBA/GCN era Fire Emblem fan, fifteen dollars for Redemption Reapers is a steal for what I felt was the best FE game since Path/Dawn of Radiance. It's even got some former FE staff like the level designer from Conquest and the Three Houses composer.

Thanks for the HU on the code, didn't even notice it this AM when I opened the email. Picked up the Dead Space CE... shipping was ~$70 but after the discount, seemed decent enough for me.

Seconding this. I went in with low expectations based on the reviews but I was really pleasantly surprised. Didn't realize it had ex-FE staff.

It's $25 pre-tax/shipping at LRG or $30 on pre-tax/shipping on Amazon for the Switch version. VGP and PNP still have PS4 copies too if that's your platform of choice.

It was a monthly free game with Prime Gaming recently too.

I wasn't going to get anything, but between the sale and coupon I did get Anodyne 2, Embers of Mirrim, Gunbrick Reloaded and Sheepo. Even with the nearly $14 shipping and tax, $54 for those is actual a good deal. I don't have any of them digitally and they all seem to be fan favorites.

I received an LRG is preparing your pre-order email for Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown PS4 standard. Maybe it's going to ship earlier than their estimated ship date.

That Riki 8-bit collection thing is just 2 games and 3 soundtracks. Not interested, games look hella basic... but it took a bit of reading trying to figure out what was included since it listed 5 games but it's just 2.

No idea if this will be of any use to anyone. Code for "5% off a konami title" found whilst digging through old emails.

I haven't bought an LRG game since 2021 and I doubt I will ever buy another from this garbo company. Cheers!

The rear view mirror accessory just seems like a bad idea if actually used... I'm sure it's not sharp my any means, but still, pretty sure everyone universally says not to hang anything remotely solid on your rearview mirror.

Yeah usually a better idea to just hang a tiny plushie, fuzzy dice, or nothing at all. Of course LRG and their merchandise sometimes a brain isn't used there.
