for 1/2 the price you are getting roughly the same BA, a tad less RBI's (but considering the lineups that is understandable) similiar obp and a tad lower slugging. For the price $9mill compared to $18mill, I still think it was a better sigining. (based off of this years contract payout)

Lowells range is a liabilty in the field. On Dale/holly on weei the other day they where going over some stats that rate players +/- on if an avg fielder would make the play. Lowells stats where horrible. Regardless both pappi and kotchman can sit vs lefties thus making the decision easier...
