- 8/10: A gripping story marred by some silly and cumbersome gameplay mechanics.

- 10/10: Exceptional in every way. Characters that don't rely on quirks to define their personalities. Smart, economical game design (for the most part). Yoko Shimomura's best musical work since Legend of Mana. A memorable storyline with a strong conclusion.
7/30 Last Window: The Secret of Cape West (Point & Click Adventure) - 13:53 (~15h 9m)
- 7/10: Pretty much same as prequel (Hotel Dusk: Room 215) in terms of aesthetics and gameplay. Worth playing for the story, but incredibly stupid game over scenarios.

- 10/10: Impressively detailed and sophisticated story and settings that holds up just as well now as it did in 1994. Awesome jazzy soundtrack. Perfect atmosphere for a grimy, futuristic city. Gorgeous 16-bit graphics that I'd take over the graphics of most games today. Surprisingly good voice-acting. Only very slightly marred by a few clumsy shooting sequences. Would've been nice to explore more of Neo Kobe City.

- 5/10: Really requires more than 1 playthrough to judge adequately, but the bland environments and repetitive, clunky combat don't do much to entice me back.

- 9/10: Sophisticated, mature storyline filled with complex, believable characters, but doesn't pick up until 2/3 through. Absolutely transports you into the shoes of a 1940's detective. Cumbersome controls. Investigative procedure can get repetitive, despite a variety of environments.

- 9/10: Ambitious, twisted, tense, and thrilling narrative overshadow annoying controls and slightly dated graphics.

- 7/10: Clarifies ending of Alan Wake, but lack of real story makes the flaws more apparent and frustrating.

I was wondering the same thing... I think that a game can be added to your 'completed games' as long as a couple criteria are met. For single-player games I feel that once the story is completed, then it can be added to the list and for multiplayer and 'casual games' (ie no story/time passer type games) can be added to the list as long as you feel you've played it enough and are done with it for the time being.

To me this list is less like a competitive thing "I haz moer gameZ complete than u!" and more as a personal goal to strive for and a way of reducing the *huge* backlog of games that many of us CAGgers have.

Obviously, everyone is going to have different ways they go about adding games to their list, this is just the criteria I'll follow.

That actually sounds perfect to me. When it comes to my 360/PS3, I'll wait 'til all the achievements or trophies have been obtained, but I think I'll follow your ideas for the rest of my collection. Thanks for the insight. =D

Well I actually have a lot of games on my backlog. But with this being the last year for me in the Army and the last year before I get my Bachelor Degree... I think I am finally get around to beating some games... but then again there is another deployment coming up around the corner so I might have to prolong my goal of finishing 100 games till 2012
