2012 Fantasy Football "Who should I start?" Thread

Boy do I hate Eric Decker right now....

I am currently down by 55.44 and he still has Seahawks D, and Marshawn Lynch.

Although, I have Matt Ryan, Vincent Jackson, Hakeem Nicks, Darren McFadden, Jimmy Graham, Matt Bryant

Chances good I pull this off?

You might be able to pull it off, he's probably get 20-25 more pts

Ryan should get you 20 and if the others can get 55-60 combined you may squeak by

The quick score by Minnesota has me very 0hopeful...

Followed by a quick jab from V-Jax, and then a TD. Very nice!
Buh, Cobb already has 2 TDs in the game with Jordy out. I hope this doesn't bite me in the ass! And what's with Leshoure vulturing all the TDs?? Megatron is doing his best pushing the offense forward too. Sigh. I can't lose to the last place team...
Well, so far Moore was the wrong choice. My bad :(

How are you doing now?

3 weeks in a row will I be defeated by the top score. Thanks Raiders defense!!! I was feeling pretty good with AP tearing it up and then see some unknown (with all due respect) gets two 3743 yard touchdowns. What gives?!

I also got the answer to my question why people were dropping the Vikings D. Jokes on me I should have started the G Men.

DDDDDDDOOOOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGG MMMMMMMMMMAAAAAARTTTTTTTIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I needed every one of those 57 points to win this weekend. lol. Now I'm down 8 points with M. Vick, B. Celek and J.Jones left to play.

since stupid matt ryan didnt throw a td and had to have 10 incompletions not 9, I need 1.5 pts from Graham tomorrow.

If i dont get that, I am cursed

Well in one league I'm up 40 with my opponent having McCoy and Lance Moore left...he didnt start a D or a K this week. Going to win in the CAGS R US league thanks to Redman and Brandon Myers of all people stepping up bigtime, overcoming Jordy's 0 points and my not having a K either. My 3rd league I'm down 5 with Brees left, he has Colston and Celek.

Holy crap! I have 135 points with both Brees & Colston to play tomorrow night. My line-up:

Brees
Peterson
Martin
BJGE
Marshall
Colston
Nugent

I have a friend who laughed at two of my picks audibly during 2 of my last three fantasy drafts.

Arian Foster in 2010 and Doug Martin this year.

Snicker.

Shitty week in my main league. I trail 269-273 right now. My only remaining player is LeSean McCoy projected to get 40 points. Adiran Peterson got my opponent 70 points. He has DeSean Jackson, Marques Colston, Mark Ingram, and Garret Hartley tonight.

I should've played Hartline over Shorts. Oh well luckily my opponent crapped out this week. I won my matchup 87 - 69 and still have Vick to go. I was thrilled that Fitz and BJGE both chipped in double digits. Decker stole the show this week from Thomas in Denver so he had a disappointing week. Bryant also killed it last night with 4 FGs (could have had six!).

On a side note I'm happy I turned down taking Doug Martin for Andre Johnson 3-4 weeks ago. Martin got 152 points in my league this week....

sorry but the scoring in your league sounds dumb. There is no reason for that to be possible unless TDs are worth like 20 points, which also would be kinda dumb.

I didn't set the scoring, i suggested improvements before it started actually. It is different and can be infuriating. Points per rush attempts, completions. Bonus points at 100 and 200 rush/receiving yards. Bonus points on 40+ yard plays. In my other standard scoring league I started Martin though.

You didn't score 500 this week? Your team blows man.
Had a decent week but played someone who had A Peterson and Doug Martin and got 100 points from just those two. Can't compete with that.
That is known as, "running into a buzz saw".

Congrats man! I started Jackson and the Ravens D. Lions had the same amount of points as Ravens so that was a wash. However, I should have picked up Redman and started him. Jackson got 8 pts (oh well).

Wayne, AP, and Daniels came up big yesterday. Bowe and Gates did fine. Currently, I'm leading by 19 points. Tonight, I have Brees my opponent has Vick. I like my chances as long as Vick doesn't go HAM.
Thanks to Martin, Pitfall here has demolished my team. i need brees to put up about 60 points while pierre thomas being irrelevant...
 Yeah, Martin really put it to you. I'm definitely glad he's picked it up here lately. Joique Bell was also a nice play for me this week off the waiver wire.

Sheesh! I am done with Vick and Romo after this week. I think Freeman will be starting for me thru the rest of the season! If Vick can't score against the Saints then he should be benched and Reid fired immediately!
Just great, this Bryce Brown kid is probably going to be getting more carries than McCoy, what the fuck.
He was a huge recruit at Kansas State but got in Bill Synder's doghouse and pretty much never saw the field. His brother is playing some outstanding D for the Wildcats right now. I guess the Eagles took a shot at him as an undrafted FA.

He looks good and is running hard, thankfully so is McCoy, already over 100 yards.

Vick barely out dueled Brees but I still won by 17 points. :)

At this point, I'd take an 18 points Vick. In some ways I'm more disappointed with J. Flacco. All preseason they talked about shifting the offense toward him and now he cracks like humpty-dumpty.

There is something that driving me crazy. One guy in my league got both RGIII and P. Manning but he won't trade away one of them. Dude's other legit player are only T. Richardson, V. Cruz and D. Jackson. We're in a 12 man league and there's only two other guys besides me that would trade for a QB. He's not gonna get an arm and leg for either QB.

On to week 10. Should I leave Owen Daniels in at TE, the Texans are playing the Bears. Or should I play Keller (Jets) who are playing Seattle or Bennett (Giants) who are playing Cincy? Thx.

Can't believe I lost one of the CAG leagues, was down by 5 with Brees to play against Colston and Celek and I still lost! Should have started Luck instead.

You can't start Luck over Brees any week. That's just a second guess that only ever works if Luck scores more points.

Damn... I barely lost after basically conceding the week (Pats and 49ers on bye which killed me). I scored 3rd most points in the league too so this one stings. I fall to 6-3 and 3rd place now with the most points in the league.

Unless they play the Jags or the Chiefs, start anyone who plays against those JV teams

Here's one for ya...

Akers vs. STL
Barth vs. SD

I'm a Bucs fan, so my bias to Connor Barth is apparent .. and knowing that this offensive explosion cannot last.. can it? TB usually rolls down to within FG range or the redzone and ends up getting 3 points. That's what I've been used to the last 10+ years.

But yeah, that's really my only conundrum at this time.

The way the Bucs offense has been rolling, Barth may be scoring you singles not 3pers... Good problem for reals life, bad problem for fantasy.

Yeah but my way of thinking is that there's no way they can keep this rolling. The only reason I ask is because it's a dynasty league, and kickers score a decent amount of points compared to the other players. Weird setup.

Appreciate the feedback.
Unless they play the Jags or the Chiefs, start anyone who plays against those JV teams
And the Saints. They are on pace to give up the most yards in NFL history - by a lot - and before last night the least amount of points scored against them was 24.
You can't start Luck over Brees any week. That's just a second guess that only ever works if Luck scores more points.
that's my point. Its insanity to start Luck over Brees and yet I still lost. What really killed me was I left Golden Tate's 16 points on the bench:wall:

Well I play the top guy in my league this week (8-1). The good news: Rodgers and Jordy Nelson are on bye for him. The bad news: He has Big Ben against KC and Doug Martin on his roster.

He leads my division and if I have any hopes of catching him (5-4) I have to win this week.
