2012 Fantasy Football "Who should I start?" Thread
Well I play the top guy in my league this week (8-1). The good news: Rodgers and Jordy Nelson are on bye for him. The bad news: He has Big Ben against KC and Doug Martin on his roster.

He leads my division and if I have any hopes of catching him (5-4) I have to win this week.
How does the projections look for you? Are you favored?

Who should I start in my RB2 slot? As usual looking for most rush attempts and yardage...

Jonathan Stewart(DEN)
Jonathan Dwyer(KC)
Marcel Reece(@BAL)
I had a buddy get his team shut down for the season, for changing his name to Dougy Martin 56...its awful but hilarious
He must've beat the commish and the commish was butthurt.
How does the projections look for you? Are you favored?
I never pay attention to my league's projected points. They are always so far off. Right now my site has me winning by 3 (114-111)

I still have to figure out who I'm starting. Here's my roster with my probable starters listed first:

QB: FREEMAN, Vick, Romo
RB: FOSTER, DWYER, Law Firm, Sproles, Tate
WR: WELKER, D.THOMAS, Fitz, Shorts, Hartline
FLEX: (?) Will have to decide between BJGE, Shorts, and Hartline
TE: Witten
K: Bryant
D: SEA

His probable starters:
QB: BIG BEN
RB: D.Martin, Forte
WR: Miles Austin, Mike Williams
FLEX: Probably another WR (Nicks, Moore, or Nate Washington)
TE: H. Miller
K: Gostkowski
D: MIA

I hope Mendenhall is out another week and Dwyer is healthy so I can play him against KC.
Romo (@Phi) or Flacco (Oak)
I would go Romo. Despite the turnovers he's got the better potential for a big game.

Any input?
Any input?
Dwyer will be splitting time with Redman. Reece will see some pass targets, but it looks like Taiwan Jones will be starting at HB. As usual, Stewart splits his carries with Williams and even Newton.

With all that said, I'd probably go with Dwyer against that horrible KC D.

Chris Johnson (@MIA)
Stevan Ridley (v. BUF)
Ahmad Bradshaw (@CIN)
Matt Forte (v. HOU)

I need to pick 3. I'm leaning towards benching CJ2K based on the match-up but he went nuts last week against Chicago and he's one of those guys who you almost have to start. NO PPR. Any thoughts?

I agree with all that. I just read on rotoworld that the Raiders have confidence in Taiwan Jones and Palmer said he will get his touches and he's excited to see him run. I just picked him up.
Andrew Luck or Drew Brees?
Stick with Brees. He could easily get in a shootout with Matt Ryan.

Donald Brown being active is making me nervous about playing Vick Ballard...
Andrew Luck or Drew Brees?
Brees. He was a let down last week but gotta trust your studs.
Should I start Dwyer in a timeshare against a crappy Chiefs D or Law Firm?
Law Firm all the way. Redman will be vulturing in Pitt

of course I bench shorts and he goes off for 16 points! I made a last minute change to switch out shorts for Hartline at my flex position.

C'mon bros - who do I bench this week???

Id say bench C2JK and maybe Ridley. Forte and Bradshaw should do well

Weigh in on this Trade... my team was hurting for depth at RB.

Matt Ryan, and Vincent Jackson for Victor Cruz, and Maurice Jones-Drew.

I know Jones Drew will be out another 2 weeks... but I need the push to make the playoffs, and I view Cruz as an upgrade to V-Jax, even with him doing stellar. Also I have Andrew Luck that is a instant start for the remainder of the year.

Below is my team post trade.

QB - Andrew Luck (start 1)
WR - Hakeem Nicks, Victor Cruz, Brian Hartline, T.Y. Hilton, Darrius Heyward-Bey (start 3)
TE - Jimmy Graham (start 1)
RB - Darren McFadden, Ryan Matthews, Maurice Jones-Drew, Issaac Redman, Jonathan Dwyer, Marcel Reese.
K - Matt Bryant (start 1)
DEF - Patriots (start 1)
FLEX - WR/RB/TE (start 1)

Any thoughts on the trade?

You are putting all of your eggs in one basket with Nicks and Cruz as your top receivers. I try to stay away from situations like that. Also, Luck is definitely having a nice season and I don't know who the Colts have left on their schedule but Matt Ryan has been pretty sick this year and he has MUCH better WRs to throw to. Something to consider...

Keep Matt Ryan. Only deal him for consistent points, because that's what you're giving up. Relying on a rookie QB to get your team to the playoffs is a risky move in itself.

Bradshaw split last week and the houston d will eat Forte up, id bench bradshaw if you had to choose 3 though...

Just a general question on the CAG yahoo, can we make it its a dynasty? In 2011 I was near last and in 2012 I did choose last!
Start one, I keep flipping back and forth.

Jonathan Stewart
Jonathan Dwyer
Taiwan Jones
I'd roll Stewart.

Need a flex, Crabtree or Ryan Mathews. Non-PPR.

The Flacco and Larry Fitzgerald for Cam Newton trade worked out in my favor this week. Flacco managed to get me 32 points while RG3 was on the bye, and Cam was only worth half that.

Damn you Welker, why did you have to drop that sure TD earlier today? You got me 7 but that was about a 40 yard TD that you let bounce off your hands!

Damn, had Fred Jackson benched...but luckily Ridley did well enough where I don't regret it too much...now for Frank Gore and Marshawn Lynch to go nuts. So far, not looking good for either since their teams are playing sort of kind of awful. And finally, Megatron gets a TD. Lets hope this starts him on a roll towards playoffs.

Also glad I set my lineups last night, since Yahoo went down today. Buh.

I nailed it. Benched Bradshaw (effing Giants... yikes) and started the other 3. I'm pretty sure Forte will give me more than a 5.1 tonight and CJ (22.4) and Ridley (15.8) came though.

Nothing like Yahoo not working this morning so I could sub out Percy Harvin when he was claimed inactive for today's game. Though, I dont think it would have made a difference in my game this week.
Man, this is one of those weeks when I hate playing Fantasy Football. I want my Bears to win but I have Foster and my opponent has Forte.
Root for a ton of yards and few scores from Foster. Hope that someone other than Forte does damage for Chicago. I used to have this same problem the year I had Brady as my QB and they played the Colts twice.

That's what I'm going for. I'm playing the #1 team in my league (8-1) and he's having a horrible game. If Forte is kept quiet in the second half (and hopefully the Bears get some TD's via Defense, passing, or special teams :)). I could go into MNF with a huge lead.

I will need it though. After tonight I'm done and he has Heath Miller & Big Ben vs. the Chiefs.
Dropped Torrey Smith this morning. What a mistake. :wall:
Dropped him? Who are your other WRs? I could understand benching him.
