many games are "unavailable". i wanted to order earthworm jim 2, but besides being oos, it came out to almost $13 after tax and shipping...

aphasias, you should be able to get a lower price on shipping if you switch it to ground since 2nd day is the default setting (just mentioning it for future orders)
 
this is strange, ive noticed that frys electronics while the shit for everything else, is shitty as fuck on gba game prices.
 
I'd jump on Earthworm Jim 2, but they changed the music from Tallarico's and that makes it not worth it to me.
 
I preordered granturismo 4 from outpost and now they send me a email stating they dont have the game in stock and the sale will be canceled after 30days. The email is all messed up looking too haha. How good is outpost on orders? Why would they say the game is out of stock when the game hasnt even come out yet?

It's nice to hear someone actually compliment Tommy for a change. He gets a lot of crap on the GameFAQs Nintendo message boards. He grades a little tough, but you can always understand where he's coming from.

I can't say that I can always understand where he's coming from since he's given some games a bad grade simply because he doesn't like the main characters (Kirby comes to mind). Personally, I think Viktor grades a little too easy at times, but he gives muchs better reasons for why he dislikes/likes things. Tommy also gets hung up on the video games that use a lot of sex appeal. I guess he has a thing for polygonal nudity... :roll: but, anyway, I do watch Judgement Day when it's on, but I think that X-play is much better overall.

On a slightly different note, does anyone remember the Nintendo Power show from the 90's?

So they seem to be jumping the gun on this "out of stock" message. And the email was all crappy-looking, like one ugly blob of text. It's my first order from them so I have no idea what to expect.

they've always been like that. they're just lazy so that they don't need a different type of email format for preorders.
 
I think I will pick up a few things. i can combine them into one order correct so that shipping doesn't kill the deal to much, right?
 
Yeah, you can combine items into 1 order. Shipping still can get expensive depending on how many things you buy but it's nowhere near as bad as Best Buy's $1.99 per item.

Yes I know. But Outpost's can be pretty bad also, most items to me are $8 shipping for some reason, but I'm going to try to switch it to ground mail.
 
My breakeven point with Outpost.com's shipping seems to be 3-4 items, since when I've looked at single item shipping price versus 3-4, it doesn't seem to go up much at all, maybe $1-2 tops for ground.
