75% off all SNES, NES, GEN, DREAMCAST Systems, Games, Access. EBGames/Gamestop B&M

CAGiversary!
I saw a marketing poster that stated

"75%" off all SNES, NES, GEN, DC SYSTEMS, Games, and Access."

May be YMMV since most GS/EB stores don't carry these anymore, but for the ones that do they should be 75% off according to the marketing poster.

Not sure when the deal begins, some are saying the 21st of August, but I will try to find out. The poster for the sale came in with the 8/16 Gamestop/EB marketing kit.

Which location in Fishers and did they have anything left? I might drive over there if they do...but it's a 40 minute drive for me. I guess I should have went over there on Monday like I'd planned to...but I thought I'd been to all the Castleton/Fishers EB/GS stores in the past and didn't remember seeing any of that stuff for Dreamcast...maybe they got a new shipment in for the sale or something?
how the hell did you find MvC2 at gamestop?
Well, it's a DC title and they probably had a $25-30 price tag on it. That's higher than what it costs on Ebay for the DC version...doesn't surprise me it would sit in the store until a sale like this. There are a lot of good PSX RPGs in the stores around here that are marked $25-40 that will never sell in a million years but will sell within a couple days of PSX games being marked down 75% off if that ever happens.

That is totally awesome! Sweet find!

And Rictor, MvC2 does go for more than 25-30 on ebay, unless it's disc only.

I checked my local EB Games. The guys that were working there had absolutely no idea what I was talking about. Didn't help that the only games and accessories that predated the PlayStation 2 were only Nintendo 64, Game Boy and Game Boy Color items. Unfortunately, Nintendo 64 things weren't on sale, even though they were set up in a cart like they were on sale. :\ They didn't even have any N64 consoles, even though the site said they had 'em and the clerk I called to confirm it said they did.

Would be nice if they made it available online, rather than having people waste gas by traveling around and using inaccurate info on their store locators.

Eh, I just checked and the Dreamcast version seems to have doubled in price in the last few months just like the PS2 version has. Gotta be a temporary thing...I got the PS2 version back when it was going for $40 on Ebay and that seemed high to me then (traded for it, didn't pay cash). At least the Japanese version is still cheap.

My recommendations (aside from the games you mentioned):
 • Crazy Taxi
 • Power Stone and/or Power Stone 2
 • Samba de Amigo (with maracas)
 • Soul Calibur (if you haven't played SC2 or 3)
 • Test Drive Le Mans (if you like racing games)
 • Toy Commander
 • Virtua Tennis or Tennis 2K2

DON'T FORGET QUAKE 3! I'd buy the DC again just for that game.... soooooo many memories, and I never even played with my friends so it was definetly a sweet game.

I went to the one on 96th Street by the Wal-Mart and Meijer. The copy of Marvel vs Capcom 2 was the disc only. I would say that half of them were disc only. They still have some decent, non-sports games left at that location.

Thanks, I'll have to try to get over there.

COOL!!! Dreamcast systems are gonna be like $5, eh? If I can find one, I've always wanted one. And at that price, I'd grab 2-3, if I could find them.

However, I too wish this included PS1 and N64 games and systems, as I spied a bunch of games for PS1 I wanted last time I went to my one EB that has a crapload of PS1 games stacked on 2-5 shelves.

I STILL want a copy of Intelligent Qube, but I'm definitely NOT willing to pay Ebay price for it.

I DID, however, see a copy of Blasto for DIRT CHEAP for PS1 recently, but it looked like it went through a belt sander.

They have some really sweet ps1 & n64 games, I agree with ya'll, can't wait for a clearance on these.
